Ok see... you think it's junk and that's fine. Many times it is but sometimes Casinos have promotions where you can earn 100s of copies of things that you can sell for 50 dollars each. 50x100 is 5000 cash last I checked.

I know a player that worked for Tom R in town. He would do things like this. He had over 300 radios in his hotel room. Casino security knocked on the door and 86'd him and confiscated the Radios. I know you guys are the smart guys. I have no idea what I'm doing in Vegas. It would be nice if you guys would share some information as well but I understand... you have to protect your interests.

I once won a bush league pool tournament. Paid $150. They gave me a trophy and I smiled as they took my picture. Said they were gonna hang it on the wall with the rest. On the way out the door I deposited the trophy in the garbage can. That's what I think about trinkets.

About a decade ago, I networked with a guy from BJ21, that this was his AP play. He played high stakes blackjack, using like a 1-2, or 1-3 spread. Just enough to turn the game even, maybe the slightest bit positive EV, but would draw no heat with that kind of spread.

BUT at the level he played he received high end gifts give-aways, as well as shopping sprees both at the casino shops (jewelry), as well as shopping sprees at department store. He then sold everything on ebay. He even sold things like tickets to fights and trips that the casinos gave him. I don't think you can do that anymore as some of those things are now non-transferable.

It just goes to show there are more than one way to get to the same destination.

MC and Maxpen... how are we comparing trinkets to what I'm talking about??

Here is another example. When the PBR or Rodeo is in town I get so many comped tickets it is ridiculous. Now I take those tickets to the ticket exchange or the street and I get the real world value which is around 75 dollars a copy.

Who is talking about trinkets? I'm not talking about trinkets!

I'm not knocking it. I'm just admitting that I never thought about reselling gifted items. I am actually a pretty minimalistic person. I actually have very little need for consumer goods. I was just trying to inject a little humor. Also, you ask why I don't post up my plays? If I did they would disappear within a few months. Hell, I just fucked up something that was worth 2500 month to me by overplaying it by myself. Try to find a Royal 20 side bet in this town anymore that allows you to bet over 25. When is the last time you saw a 100 lucky lady?

It's not hard to get me riled up or troll me. This is my life on these forums. I'm like this in real life though. Easy to get going.

I don't expect you or anyone to share specific plays. I obviously use that as ammunition since I'm one of the few that post up information that others don't. I would never expect someone to share something that wasn't common. I think everything I post about are plays that have been known for decades. Also nobody is moving here to play DD or 15/9 progressive bar royals at the 4 Queens. I am pretty sure every professional is safe from the information that I share. If anything I have helped someone to understand how difficult it can be at the El Cortel.

Those glass dishes are worth 120 dollars to people only if they were going to go out and buy that or something like that. They could probably sell it on ebay for 25 bucks.

The thing about lennox and other companies is that if they produce items with the slightest imperfection.....they dont send it to their top end stores. They used to have factory outlet stores that got rid of the flawed items. My wife and I bought some nice stuff, and just by looking I cant tell what the imperfection is. But according to their standards it wasnt right. They sold the stuff at 60-70 percent off.

Lets face it, the casino wasnt barraged with calls from big wig players that they would love to have lenox colorful dishes or vases or whater they are. If the casino gave out gift ards for 120, I am sure patrons would be happier.

But my guess is that the got a real god deal from lennox.Maybe the items have some tiny imperfections. Maybe they got it at 70 percent off the wholesale price.

All I know is that its worth 120 to me if my wife had been nagging me to get that.....and I got a gift from Monet....and...I am enriched 120 dollars.

Otherwise...its just a piece of glass...just as the trophy MC threw out was just a piece of metal.

If soeone uses it as they would a 10 dollar ashtray....then the worth to them is 10 dollars. If someone stores it in their closet. Its worthless to them. And if someone sells it on E-bay.....then its worth whatever they can get for it....no where near 120.

I am not belittling the act of kindness to give them away. Its just that the price attached seemed a little steep...maybe alot steep.

Its vigilante justice. You fuck me..and I will fuck you back

we all love that "turnabout is fair play" remedy. It makes us feel less dirty.
There is no legal remedy for someone committing an action against you that is not illegal, what are you not understanding? If it is not illegal, then justice doesn't have anything to do with it. That's what makes anything illegal v. legal a false equivocation. I live in a world where words have meaning, I'll come to your world and talk to you, but first I need directions.

To be clear, the casino can legally change or withdraw a promotion anywhere. I can legally play with the players cards of other people (with their permission) in every state I know of except for one.
Justice as in vigilante justice has nothing to do with the legal system. Look up the definition of justuce and you will see non legal definitions like "
the administering of deserved punishment or reward."

Everyone has their idea of what a just punishment is for people...and they dont need a legal degree. People have used vigilante justice to remedy a verbal slight aimed at ones spouse. Heck in some neighborhoods they dole out justice for "dissing ". Not a legal term. People have sought justice after being fired. Again generally a non illegal act met with a flurry of bullets in the workplace. For the shooter..he is seeking justice. To the shooter "turn about is fair play....you fucked me, and I fucked you back...harder".

If I can sell them at a price for cash it can be worth my time. I can turn gifts or products into cash which can be in the thousands with very low risk of getting in trouble. That's ok though you guys enjoy Fantasy Island I for one live in the real world or at least it feels like the real world. William Yung will show us how nothing really exists and he might be correct. He is far ahead of my Intelligence.
I won items on online bingo sites back in the day (early and mid 2000's back when US citizens could still use Neteller, Ecopay, etc.). For example a flat screen television (back when this was cutting edge tech) I won at an online bingo site (in an online video poker contest). After receiving the flat screen TV from the online bingo site, I took it to a store located at a local strip mall which sells unopened items on ebay and delivers them to the purchaser for a percentage of the purchase price. So I would get extra money for these items along with the winnings from the deposit bonuses. You could also get items for getting a certain amount of play through in addition to the online contests at a given bingo site. So there may be some stores like this in your area Monet, where you can dump the items you receive (those items won in excess of the ones you give to the cardholders) from the casinos and have them take care of everything for you while you are busy winning more items and cash at the casinos.

I had a friend that for about a year was playing nickel 9/6/90 Jacks hundred play at the Silver Legacy. He got all the freeroll invites plus they had Tommy Bahama clothes in the Gift Shop. He would buy everything in the rack with comp dollars and sell it to the lady that had the Tommy Bahama store down on Virginia Street.

Hey, all this talk of junk brings me back to some thoughts, from years ago. The smartest ought to be able to do with the least. If everything evens out, and we take evolution from the simplest life form to the most complex, so that highest balances with lowest, then either has the same number of specimens. What happens is that the most advanced become as numerous as the flies and lower, and aren't outnumbered by the insects, as we say. Evolution turns around from a midpoint, likely where we are - at the midpoint of the sun's lifespan - and works its way back to the small. Similar to Hawking's latter life brainchild of sending out hordes of very tiny exploratory spaceships that mimic sails pushed by light, itself, the most advanced species become, themselves, the tiny spaceships, until the size of photons, at which point, the meek truly do inherit the universe, and reflect upon from where they came. That we perceive aliens to be little green bug-eyed men may not be so far off the mark, ironically.

Why would evolution necessarily lead to a diminution in size of the most complex organisms?

See, dwarfs are a step ahead of us evolutionarily. That explains the propagation of their television shows. It also explains Little Women of LA replacing the La Brea tar pits as a tourist attraction.

(I knew my familiarity with my late wife's work as a physical anthropologist would come in handy sometime. I'm always glad to help clear things up.)

Why must evolution necessarily lead to something bigger? Has this assumption been examined?

Photons don't age because they go the speed of light because they are both the light, and the spatial field on which light propagates. Scientists are already looking at the possibility of scales of matter and time beneath the size of photons, which opens the door to creating things on that scale. All of the things we look for in science for ourselves can be had by just becoming smaller. Anyway, this is just a theory I thought about, many years ago. Off hand, one problem with it is that photons, too, would have to die, as the highest life forms that mimic them. Hawking had his own wild theories, early on, such as time literally reversing when the universe reached the boundary of its expansion, and began to contract. Making sense of nonsense or what doesn't work leads to what does.

LarryS... if you get time and if it's still online, I'd like to read this blog about the Wizard on a vacation hanging out with a prostitute tour guide. I mean... ok if you have to take pictures for business to sell your product I can understand. However, to be married with children and hanging out with hookers on vacation. Ok, hanging out with hookers I understand but to make it public knowledge and blog about it? Maxpen says I embarrassed BBB and he may have a point but to embarrass your wife like this? My wife certainly would give me trouble or problems over this. Not even the troubles or problems is so bad but when you preach morals and ethics like the Wizard I just don't understand how it's ok or cool to be with hookers and blog or post about it? How can he judge others or think he is better than others when he clearly is living a double standard? I don't care about him double dipping... that's fine but you don't get to preach and teach others or look down on them when your doing just as bad or worse actions.

I am reminded of the dinosaurs who grew increasingly bigger over time, presumably to achieve evolutionary advantage.

Were it not for their extinction the world could well be populated by 500+ foot long behemoths.
    What, Me Worry?

You should read this thread about how much knowledge every member has about hookers. It is clearly wrong to steal with the WoV community but playing with hookers... no big deal. It seems to be encouraged, cheered upon and idolized with WoV.

the below by "freddy on GF

He fudges the numbers on his pathetic Diversity Tomorrow site as well. Only 156 "active" members there. More like 40.

The "man" himself only has 4 blogs there. Here's an interesting one.

Wizard: "I signed up for a rappelling/canyoneering class through an outdoor group that I belonged to led by a woman that I did a hike with about five years ago". He got the following Email from her:

    Hi Mike,

I'm letting you know that I don't want you to attend my canyoneering class. Canyoneering is a team effort and not all personalities mesh well. I'm uncomfortable having you on out team".

He later found out from someone that his "banter" creeped her out. Ya think? Juiciejennie, the models, the crackheads and now this.

Like the popular members that he has driven from his board, this woman took a stand and said no more. This woman, unlike the crackheads and models, was his equal. Unlike the others who have to put up with lecherous posing and unwanted touching, this woman sent him packing. He's not used to women that can stand up to him.

Why doesn't he ever mention his wife on these trips? He always seems to meet these women wherever he goes. Wife is never around. Read his trip report from Panama. All he talks about are the young women/hookers he met. Nothing about casinos. Macau. Everywhere he goes. He wrote that he once paid one of these women to be his tour guide.

In another blog, he tells of a woman who found him so distasteful that she unfriended him on facebook.

How many more out there ? Can't imagine. Where's Gloria Allred?>>>>>AS PER FREDDY...
