By the way, I think I now have this reputation of calling out claims that seem illogical to me. It really is about the math, not what seems likely to me. There have been many claims which I think "That probably didn't happen", but I only have called out 3 and a half (<-
) as just completely defying the math.
The 3 are Singer, Mdawg and my first, a guy named T3 at a blackjack forum who claimed his specialized count gave him a 5% advantage in card counting. Perfect computer play doesn't give you a 5% advantage in card counting.
And the 1/2, is Moses. What Moses claimed did not defy the math, but a player just can't do that Longterm in RENO. He later amended his claims to that he had made $100k over 10 years, which is more like what you can get away with in Reno.
So I am not the "what can and can't be" police or guardian, that people think. But come on people, the math
has to work. You just can't claim you win, win win, without some explanation of how you gain a mathematical advantage. It also is very insulting to real players that find and play with an advantage and endure whatever difficulties come with that, like in my case, being allowed to play and long losing periods.
I just get annoyed when someone comes along and says
"I win, I win, I win, Pit bosses say I am the best player ever and they love me" I mean, what planet are we on?
