Redietz, I don't focus on my sexuality. My partner, who I was married to was 20+ years my senior and when I met him a losing -EV video poker player himself. That we were able to turn him around (insert joke here) and make him into a +EV player, is kind of an amazing thing I think. I am sure he cheated at times when handling our machine play, but he did real well in that -EV to +EV transformation.

The third guy, a poker player, a very typical poker player existence. He was always one good win away from having the bankroll to make some real money. And there was always some almost impossible bad beat that had brought him down. Unfortunately, after a number of years I had to cut him loose. I couldn't enable his going no where poker "career" forever and when my brother moved in, I didn't want this guy's career/existence influencing him.

The current dynamic, with my brother (a very straight guy) and I sharing a condo, both playing blackjack for a living, isn't quite so dynamic and unique (except in the demented mind of a few sick and hateful dudes).

I know this may come as a shock to you, Rob. But when I mentioned McManus and Merchant, people probably googled them. So the idea that I was lying is going to require my hijacking and changing Wikipedia and all google references to these two writers.

And those two were, as I said, off the top of my head. I didn't need to do research to come up with them.

Here's a thought, Rob -- tell the truth on occasion.

Anyone interested should just google McManus and Merchant. I imagine the publishers gave them their advances. That is how it generally works.

Rob got caught lying through his teeth again. And then he unravels. As usual.

I was surprised when I googled Merchant that The National Football Lottery was his only listed book on Wikipedia. Merchant had written for newspapers and Sports Illustrated, so I assumed he'd done other books. But it seems like The National Football Lottery was not only his first gambling book. It may have been his only book.
You spin and twist the issues and squirm every single time before you throw out more lies. I'm not looking those guys up because they're probably weirdos if you know them. But you're dodging again because you know what I meant only you just can't say it. These people were known before they wrote their first books. Kew is nobody and any potential publisher would know that. They would never hand over advance money to a fool like that, especially if they were to check his background of being bounced from various forums and lying his way thru others. Plus publishers don't fork free money over to questionable, argumentative, and blatantly dishonest characters. They also know most of their potential customers are gamblers who do not don't carry three dollar bills in their crotch.

All you think you know is that kewlJ doesn't qualify to get an advance. So all of the belly laughs and you know this about gambling advances and you know that about gambling authors was all your usual lies.

And if I'm not here to shoot you down off the top of my head, you'd still be proclaiming that gambling authors don't get advances. And then, when that got shot down, that FIRST TIME gambling authors don't get advances. And you would have lied until the cows come home or until somebody who actually knows a little, exposes your bullshit for what it is.

Now what you've retreated to has nothing to do with gambling authors not getting advances -- which is what you proclaimed. What you've retreated to has nothing to do with FIRST-TIME gambling authors not getting advances, which is what you stated with a belly laugh.

What you've retreated to is that kewlJ shouldn't get an advance. That's a little different. So you've gone all the way from being the big expert on gambling authors not getting advances to your opinion that kewlJ couldn't get an advance because he's nobody.

Merchant and McManus had writing experience when they got their book gigs. But they were young and relatively unknown. If you'll notice, kewlJ isn't a bad writer, either. He can certainly express himself effectively, and he has no formal training. Imagine what an editor could do for him.

Frankly, with an editor, I'm sure an outline and sample chapters from kewlJ would be as good as anything you or I could present to a publisher. So how do you know kewlJ couldn't get an advance? Answer: You do not.

You proclaimed that you knew what you were talking about. You didn't. You got caught.

Different topic, same story as always.

You know, your problem is that no voodoo junk system is going to sell a book. No double up bug claims are going to sell books unless they can be verified somehow, which I suspect is why there won't be any Singer double up tomes on the horizon. All of that narrow systems crap isn't going to garner any advances. Double up fiction isn't going to get an advance.

Now live a life like KewlJ has lived, and there's a story there. Blackjack is about cat and mouse relationships, about interacting with people while having actual expertise. About going to war against people who claim to use voodoo math. That kind of gambling story has an audience.

I would put KewlJ's ability to express himself and write an interesting story up there with any other professional writer. But I am in no way a qualified judge.

KewlJ can write. If he had just a little formal training, and an editor, he'd be lights out.

Overall writing skills: 1- Druff 2-Singer 3- Marathon Mission (even though he doesn't care about anything) 4- UNKOOL1( even with constant whining) 5- Comrade Dietz( even though he's weird as fuck). Alan/ Andrew would bump UNKOOL1 if he was still around. I'm in the basement battling against the VCT one line warriors ( you know who you all are).

OK enuf with the fun and nonsense. I wanted to ask a question earlier but I got sidetracked by reading the kew/tater/mdawg feud on GF that eventually coerced kew into claiming he got an offer from an as-usual nameless publisher, including an advance, to write some gambling book as a first-time-ever writer. Anonymous kew in all his glory! Fantastic claims for fantastic times.

Here's my pertinent gambling question, finally. I'm a very infrequent sports bettor, but I have a very good history of wins whenever I do make them. A 5-team NFL parlay in Lake Tahoe that won over $40k leads the way. Some people may remember the popular weekly NFL bets I put up on my former website for maybe two years: "The Singer Five". Those had a good winning % but an overall very small profitl.

In April of this year in a LV sports book, what caught my eye was the win total for Tampa Bay. It was 11-1/2. That seemed like a no brained because all the Super Bowl Winning BUCS' starters were returning, they had just won 11 games in a 16-game schedule during a pandemic year with a new QB when this season would be 17 games, and of course they have the greatest sportsperson of all time with the most intriguing story ever as their QB. (Psst.....plus, he's a white boy pocket passer and not one of these flash and dash jackrabbit black running guys ).

TB now has 10 wins with 4 games remaining. Looks like a good probability that I'll win. I started off with three $500 bets, and after hitting half a dozen more books I ended up with a good stack of them. ((I won't say how many because that'll just cause the usual trouble). I don't know if these are bets that a professional sports bettor would make because of the return: $884 for a $500 bet. They're maybe all the same--I never really looked at more than 5 of them. But I only make bets based on common sense emotion, and a lot of my past wins have come because I've trusted Tom Brady.

So if Tampa wins their 12th game say in two weeks, am I allowed to cash in my tickets the moment that 12th game is won, or do I have to wait for the end of the regular season or even until the Super Bowl is completed? I called 3 of the casinos today and none of them would transfer me to the books. Two of the operators offered to call them and put me on hold while they did, but my explanation of what I was looking for was foreign to them.

Can't wait to upgrade the camper...huh?

Pretty sure futures total bets settle end of season. I don't bet on sports though.

    Ok, so a couple things:

I am not a writer. I have no desire to be a writer. I play blackjack for a living and try to share some of those experiences. I know I am not very good at doing so, hence the long posts. I appreciate that a few people like MaxPen and redietz can at least appreciate my effort.

Next: for the longest time I thought Singer was the biggest troll I had ever seen or encountered. Then Madawggy came along and made a run at him. But in my mind neither are. They are just both really angry and bitter dudes that they are losing gamblers, when they so desperately want to be winning players. One guy is wealthy, which makes even less sense. So for my money the biggest troll is Ozzy.

Welcome to #1 Ozzy, since you like to keep lists. This guy with his dumb lists is one of a number of dudes on this forum stuck in the 3rd grade mentality. He celebrates the bullying and name calling that most people leave behind in grade school. He has never grown into a mature adult. This only matters because it encourages all the others with his enabling and celebrating that behavior. And thus, we are all stuck with a growing number of these insecure 3rd grade mentality "grown" men. Ruining multiple forums.

Next Singer. I can't believe this guy. A new level of jealousy. He is jealous of a book I didn't write. While I never even heard of this person until about 5 years ago when I joined here, in reading some achieves it is crystal clear he is a long time losing (degenerate gambler) jealous of any player that manages to play with an advantage and win. It started win Bob Dancer and it has been almost every advantage or winning player he has ever encountered. And now like I said, he is jealous of a book I didn't even write. What a sad way to live out your final years.

It looks like you are in a good spot because the Bucs are still fighting for homefield advantage in the playoffs with the Packers and Cardinals. They have plenty of incentive to win. Redietz should be able to answer your question....for a coffee and danish, of course.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

It's positively AMAZING that you are soooo incapable and unable to let these things go. How is it that you continually feel the burning need to fight this stuff? Who in this gaming world cares anything at all about you, me, mdawg, ozzy, or anyone else since no one affects anyone else? And the more you fight all this, the more you end up lying and looking like a big fat fool.

I'll say it again: all you're doing with your constant ranting and whining and conflict-loving postings, is proving to more people every day that you neither have the temperament, the discipline, the character, nor the smarts to be what you so desperately need others to believe you are. You don't know how, when, or even why to keep your mouth shut--mostly about yourself!

I know this is nearly impossible for you to do, but for your own sanity you need to leave GF. You constantly get ridiculed and excoriated by "Tater" over there, and judging by how easily he coerces those essays out of you that go nowhere, he quite simply owns you.

Advice for the forlorn: I, mickey, arci, and a number of others have all had to grow thick skin and develop steel jaws on forums over the years. And you know why most of us still survive the onslaughts? BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE REAL LIVES TO LIVE THAT ARE EXTRAORDINARILY AND EXPONENTIALLY MORE MEANINGFUL, MORE IMPACTFUL, AND MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE ENTERTAINMENT WE FIND HERE!! All you ever show anyone is what a meaningless, sour real life you must indeed have. You do it all to yourself, and weak people can expect only tragedy ahead.

    Please wise up.

Its absolutely astonishing that an emotional and mental wreck, ( possibly physical) like the UNKOOL1 can go in on a near daily basis for a few hours a day and be able to focus and apply his trade. Outside of this he has absolutely no self control whatsoever. What a damaged individual !

Translation: I lied. I got caught. I do it all the time. I get caught all the time. Why does anybody care?

Some of us who gamble professionally don't really appreciate people who fake it and fill forums with completely inaccurate bullshit. I think most people who have areas of expertise don't really appreciate when bloviating idiots enter the room, tell everybody what's what, and get most of it wrong.

I think my problem with Argentino is that I don't treat these forums as "entertainment." I'm an expert at what I do. People in the field consider me one of the best. Obviously, Billy Walters didn't get in touch with me because I'm a moron.

I give accurate answers to questions as best I can. If I want entertainment, I sign up for DisneyPlus or go for a jog or shop for sportcoats. I don't come onto a forum, pick subjects I know very little about, and tell people I know what I'm talking about when I clearly do not.

If he's run half marathons, then he has plenty of discipline. That requires commitment and day to day workouts more stringent than any sport except maybe wrestling, where weight control and diet control are also required. And living in Las Vegas, where the entire environment is designed to make you a degenerate addict, requires all kinds of control to stick with just what you do and not bleed away your winnings, a la Stu Ungar or Phil Ivey or T.J. Cloutier or Mike Matusow and on and on and on.

Saying kewlJ has no discipline because he rants on forums, while his whole work environment requires iron clad discipline, is pretty silly. It's like saying a Navy SEAL has no discipline because he yells at the officials during televised football games.
