There is something way wrong with immediately shutting everything down after purchase then giving the web masters just two weeks to make a decision or all data will be destroyed. Thats really screwed up.
What are the chances it is a scam?

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
Looks like one of those scammers that hold sites hostage.
FWIW, Dan posted something on the other site a few days about the possibility of this happening, so I think he knew it was coming, and I don't think it's a scam.
He had some kind of backup plan IIRC. I guess we'll find out soon enough..
There is no such company as Connectedata Inc. in Rhode Island. When you put your cursor over the attached link, you go back to pokerfraudalert.com. The telephone number listed is for Kars For Kids.
April Fools
Keep your friends close, keep your drinks closer...
This really does smell like stinky fish..... I also do think this screams "SCAM," like you do too. Hold up, it IS April Fool's Day. This could all be an unfunny April Fool's joke and his PokerFraudAlert is back tomorrow. I mean, the notice was given on March 31st and lots of people do April Fool's jokes one day early. Hmm. You never know. At least one April Fool's days, websites put a "Agree to sell your soul to the Devil," as a Term in The Terms And Conditions," and people blindly clicked, "I accept all Terms And Conditions," obviously NOT reading that Term. Website owners got good laughs out of it, as they were given proof that Future Members DO NOT read all of the Terms And Conditions. So, the PokerFraudAlert thing could just be an elaborate April Fool's day joke.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.
Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.
Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.
I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!
My college girlfriend told me not to get alarmed if I smelled stinky fish. I always accepted her Terms and Conditions.
After clicking around I was able to get on poker fraud alerts just fine.

Half Smoke, check the link titled, "Well, You Made It Here." on pokerfraudalert.com. Dan admits the joke.
Like I stated earlier, there is no company by that name in Rhode Island, putting the cursor on the company website brought you back to the pokerfraudalert website and the telephone number listed is for Kars 4 Kids.
