Thread: Did Red Rock change its drink policy?

  1. #1
Until about a week ago, Red Rock in its 24 hour Grand Cafe restaurant would charge for each "juice" that was ordered, such as apple juice, cranberry, orange etc.

But a week ago the waiters started bringing free refills to the table. Juices are $4 each.

Today I had apple juice with breakfast and then took out a salad for lunch and I got another apple juice in a to-go cup at no charge.

Last night I had a salmon dinner there... got a free refill on the juice again. And four ladies at the table next to me were each given two glasses of the soft drinks they ordered. I don't know if the waiter did that so he wouldn't have to make a refill trip?

Four bucks for a juice is four bucks. A policy change? I'm afraid to ask. In the last week I saved $16 (cash or comp dollars it's still $16 saved).

Do they charge for juice if you're gambling? I'd just order one while playing before getting seated.

The glasses of juice they give at the machines and tables are small.

In the restaurant they are big servings.

I do believe that Silverton is actually using Ocean Spray cranberry juice with cane sugar. The rest of Vegas is high fructose corn syrup water.

Mass Produced Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice with Cane Sugar lol... come on!? From Concentrate?? In Plastic Bottles?? Most likely Pasteurized killing any value... might as well just drink Lake Mead Water which will give you more nutrition.

Not that it matters and one can argue that this juicer is too high speed and it is a pain with all the work needed for a half a gallon or a gallon of juice a day but it is by far superior to 4 dollar/free refill Casino Fake Juice. I actually have another one in storage that has an issue with the hydraulic lever. Anyways I get tired of the work required for this juicer and most likely going to sell them or give them away for free and buy some 500 dollar Slow Masticating Plastic Garbage. Actually my 60 dollar centrifugal juicer was a breeze to clean but you have other trade offs. Anyways who cares? The Juicer Market is a scam and as usual I fell for it.

I can hear MC now... You paid how much for these Norwalk Juicers?? I wouldn't pay more than 20 dollars for a juicer if that!!

Meanwhile, RS is cracking open another Can of Fake Tuna Fish laced with Mercury.

    Everyone has their vices. 😃

At home I have a VitaMix that I just throw the whole fruit in and let it rip. I get ripped on kitchen gadgets because I am a sucker for them. Not quite as bad as that juicer but I have been known to buy Titanium Elite cookware.

Aria serves fresh, real watermelon juice. It is delicious. Free at the tables, $10/glass via room service.

If you were in the habit of ordering multiple glasses of juice while dining at a restaurant and paying 4 dollars for each glass...then you are indeed saving money........otherwise it's just imaginary savings.

When you get a takeout order and you get another free juice in a large takeout cup it's a very real savings.

Too bad the Las Vegas casinos don't take a page from the playbook of most tribal casinos here in the Pacific NW.

With few exceptions, water, coffee, soft drinks and often juice are free to all patrons at self serve stations in the tribal casinos.

The damned Las Vegas casinos are in the freakin' desert; they should have water fountains all over the place at minimum.
    What, Me Worry?

They did that at the M. People would bring big jugs in and fill them up with soda. Most casinos that self serve drinks are far away from residential areas or not so easily accessible.

"We have met the enemy, and it is us."

I've read that there are two reasons not to offer this in sin city: it will induce the homeless dirtbags to enter and mooch, and it would impact the income of the CW's.

Whatever, the casinos should at minimum have water fountains easily accessible, and they don't.

no i just call BS when I see it.

If you want me to believe that you generally order 2 four dollar juices per meal........then I would also have to also believe that you saw 18 yos in a row,

SO YOU SAVED 4 DOLLARS.......very nice.
