Thread: Open PA Rally today

  1. #1
With apologies to MCap, this has become the catch all place so it’s going here.

Attended the Open PA Rally today in Harrisburg. Haven’t heard a crowd estimate yet but thousands standing in the streets around the Capital along with hundreds of vehicles driving by. I’m sure some networks will focus on the fringe signs and the fact that many didn’t wear masks. But overall it was a great crowd of people who truly want to get back to work.

Very proud I could attend, though at this point it will only embolden our liberal Governor to delay opening the state because he is a vindictive little man.

The Rally is getting a lot of mainstream media attention and I’m sure we be a major topic of discussion on the evening talk shows.

    Here are some pictures.

    Thanks Monet!

Assuming you were in Western PA growing up.

Took the Turnpike today which I seldom do because the fees keep going up.

Our asshole governor originally closed the Rest Stops on the Turnpike but relented and opened them back up due to complaints truckers had no where to stop and use restrooms. Now open with limited services, basically a Sunoco Store and one food outlet.

As expected Wolf extended the lockdown during the event and vetoed a bill passed by the Senate & House to open the state up.

Oh boy!!! No social distancing and very little mask usage. With all the casino shut down I'm surprised there isn't an AP rally/uprising.

This about the 5th or 6th time you have complained about people social distancing or not taking it seriously.
Not long ago you were complaining about black people hugging in your neighborhood.
It sounds to me like you are on the same Train as Redietz.
This idea of Social Distancing is a Hoax.
Fuck Man... You people are going to get our few liberties taken away from us just so you can fake save people that are going to die anyway.
At least you bought a gun while you still legally can.
Of course that was an about-face from your stance that you don't need guns in Vegas.
And you never seen anyone open carry in Vegas.

It won't be long before there are Riots. Many of my Customers have been complaining they are sick of the Shutdowns and want the businesses to be open NOW and the Quarantines to be over NOW. And technically it's only been about 5 weeks since the Shutdowns started. I shudder to think what will happen in just one more month of this, let alone FIVE months of this(Many News Sources say businesses will be back and quarantine will be over by AUGUST. We are in APRIL and this forced and not fun vacation started about March 14th. It won't be long before we are living like The Hunger Games Series when the people begun physically fighting with the Government after being fed up with the Government's oporessive nature.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

That’s a pretty good analogy Tasha! I never thought about The Hungry Games and what’s going on now, but it makes sense. Good post!

I don’t get why people like redietz are so against people going back to work if they want too. The scaredy-cats can still stay in their basements, hunkered down, if they want to. No one is making anyone work. But why is our government forcing people to not work makes no sense?

The key is we don’t want people in nursing and old folks homes to go back into the work force. That’s where I draw the line.

Honestly, Nursing Homes are pretty Evil Places.
On the low end they cost about 3200 dollars per month.
They are basically a place where people drop off their relatives to pass away.
Damn near difficult to notice a difference between them and a Hospice.
The neglect, scams, theft, abuse and etc etc that goes on in those places are unnerving.

In the trucker's trade magazines, the PA Turnpike was always in the top five worst roads in the country.
