Thread: WYNN's Mobile Wagering goes live 2/29

  1. #1
WYNN has announced that on 2/29 you can download there mobile wagering ap. It's a free download in the Apple Store. Google Play for Android.
I can be eating in a restaurant lounging by the pools or in my room.

This means I can enjoy March Madness away from the drunken kids.

Caesars has this, I think?? Any other casinos? The Nevada Gaming Commission approved this about two years ago. But I thought wagering from your hotel room was NOT permitted and only wagering in PUBLIC areas was permitted?

Caesars does not have it. Cosmo does for years with Cantor Gaming.
The law states as long as you're in the State of Nevada you can wager anywhere, even in the toilet

Lonestar ever since you posted above that remote, mobile gaming was allowed in hotel rooms I've been searching the Internet to find some reference to indicate this is true. But I can't. I only remember reports that said remote gaming was allowed only in public areas and it was not allowed in private areas such as hotel rooms because there would be no way to prevent minors from using the devices.

For example I found this article: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/11991715/n.../#.VsrMaPkrLIU

The key line from this article from NBC News is this:

"Rules allow a range of games, including bingo, poker, blackjack and horse race betting. Use in hotel rooms and other places that cannot be supervised is prohibited."

I have also searched the regulations of the Nevada Gaming Commission and I just can't find a reference that says use of the mobile devices is permitted in hotel rooms.

Could you please cite your source for this?

You really are annoying... For someone who was a journalist don't you know how to research ?

Here is the word for word quote:

“This is an exciting development we’ve been working on for quite some time and are pleased to now be able to offer this amenity to our guests,” said Johnny Avello, director of race and sports operations at Wynn Las Vegas. “Whether dining in our restaurants, lounging by the pools or in your guest room, the Wynn Mobile Sports allows guest to enjoy the first-rate, luxury experience of our Race & Sportsbook in the palm of their hand.”

Was that quote from an email or website? There's no need to be offensive and call me annoying. I just needed to ask.

Lonestar using your quote I was able to search more and found this is a cell phone app and not a casino device. Casino devices are blocked from use in rooms.

While you can download the app the account must be set up and activated in person at the casino.

Alan if you read through my first sentence it clearly states it's an ap.
The Cosmo has been using this ap for the past two years. William Hill has the same option.

Yes you deposit money at the Sports Book then you can be anywhere in the Wynn and make wagers, this feature is great for March Madness since all the kids clog up the place while making their $5-$10 parlays

I was hoping that Wynn would actually have the portable casino device that has been envisioned.

Sad to report but Wynn's ap is only good within their property. William Hill's ap is good within the entire state of Nevada

Caesars online poker is also good anywhere in the state -- not just on their property.
