But after a ton of hard work and marrying a woman who had the same constitution about her work ethic as mine (40 years ago today BTW....) there has never been any reason to cut corners on vehicles just because of some middle and low-class phobia about how much a new car depreciates once you drive it off the lot.

It's the same thing for people who choose the cheaper house brands: they go thru all sorts of gyrations trying to justify their lousy choices to themselves like MrV does with old cars, when shopping in supermarkets just to save a buck. If I had to worry about these type of things I'd hang it up fast, and if I still had to buy new vehicles by making payments I'd do the same. Either you've made it at some point or you haven't.
Interesting Rob: I've never been afraid of hard work. I drove a Camaro off the showroon floor in 1982. Bought my first house in 1980. I've never needed much for me. I'm not saying that's right. But I think one has to work at having fun and that's probably an area I need to work on.. IMO that's as equally difficult as learning to work to earn, save, and invest money. I spent the better part of 30 years building to heights no one ever thought possible for someone like me. But the Perfect Storm took nearly 2/3rds in just one horrific year. I don't think a person goes through all that without some damaged being done to the old noodle.

Although through it all I learned to take life one day at time and my mantra is "what you see is what you get." Financially speaking, I've stood eyeball to eyeball with some very wealthy uncles. My lady hates the old car I drive. It's nice. It's just old. I bought it for $4k and flew to Missouri to get it and drove back. I've had it for 4 years now and haven't had to put a dime into it, other than tires. It still doesn't have 100k miles. Ironic, the only time she will ride in it is when I take her to work because her new car is in the shop or I go to her rescue when it breaks down.

FYI, I did post a picture of one of my five rigs previously, but I guess you missed it.

It was of the car made in Maranello.

Here's a follow up: it may or may not be mine, but WGAS, really:

Almost every day according to him.

Sounds like he should be flying his private jet into these places instead of driving and sleeping in a car with 110,000 miles on it, no?

mickey if I got any of this wrong, correct me please.
Your trying to be like Alan now. Mickey is not finding a substantial must hit everyday. However, he does find ham radios lying around the casino everyday in smaller frequently occurring setups.
Why don't you sit in that pathetic man cave of yours jerking off and imagining what it would be like to have Mickey's AP knowledge. Just think of how many ancient electronics you could by and how many trucker comms you could have. Mickey finds them daily
    Wise Up.

Wow that was helpful. How could it possibly be that someone as wise as you think you are somehow would never get that the only reason I posted a pic of one of my radio rooms (the big one's in S.Dakota, where I have no city or HOA antenna restrictions) was to see how many stupid comments I could get from kew and you. Both of you idiots fell right into the trap.

The other part---about mickey. Only someone like you would be enthralled with what he says he does. It's mildly interesting yes, and everybody needs to find something in life to do with their time. But get real--it's likely one of the most monotonous ways to exist after doing it awhile. I used to travel around and around the world for my work. Most everyone in my offices seemed or acted envious the few times I returned just to make more travel plans. Yet to me, flying to Hong Kong or Perth or Capetown etc. became as boring as a drive from Phx. to Tucson. I can only imagine what mickey goes thru, although he'd never admit to being run down by this lifestyle just so people like you can keep propping him up.

Obvious to anyone with a life.

But when Jacobson posted up his really shitty belongings at the WoV, it made me wonder how far down the AP rabbit-hole he had dug himself. The guy was still talking about AP's "rocking our world", and big casino contracts around the world for his surveillance services. What a crock tease. On his way out of Vegas, of course. His family had already left.

I am going to believe you were an engineer at one point in your pathetic life. A broadcast engineer, working for a shitty radio station in NYC. That allows you some common ground with Alan and explains your devotion to each other. Sorry, broadcast engineers don't travel much. Much less internationally. People who travel for corporations usually don't make their own plans. There's usually executive assistants or travel coordinators arranging all itineraries. Also, people who own motor coaches usually eschew houses that are fixed in one place. I have yet to meet a motor coach owner that owns multiple homes unless they are rentals.
Post some pictures of your grand radio room. Is that the one with the real wood desk and table? Wise up. Your stories have more holes than the thing used to drain spaghetti.

Bingo; the operative word is "stories."

It's like he's doing fecal painting but with words; same end result.

While I believe Mr.V is reluctant to understand my comms hobby because he doesn't yet know how to create one of his usual equalivancies, you're simply radiating sheer ignorance.

Yes, I made many, but not all, of my own reservation plans because I had certain hotels I only wanted to stay at and certain flights I would only fly on, and I regularly had to be in and out of the offices within a few hours. I was a Marketing VP in the Defense & Aerospace industry, and I lived on multiple continents (and again yes, I'm an EE with an MBA). I was in charge of ATC from the microphone to the antenna, if you know what that means, plus ALS and airport radar for both commercial and military....and I've been to nearly every medium to major airports in the world. So again yes, I became interested in my own shortwave, HF, 10meter etc. set-ups once I retired. That larger, more sophisticated communications room I have is in S. Dakota, where we go around late March.

Not surprising you aren't getting how anyone can have multiple homes plus an RV and a camper. I'd take a guess at the kind of people you know, but we already know they're more of the little people, don't we....

My guess is you don't like any of this because all a life such as mine does to a jealous toad like you is beat you down. Like I've repeated many times, you gamblers are mostly on a very different level than I'm on, and while you all hide in your anonymous little worlds as you toss out lies about anyone you feel threatened by, the more you whine the better the day becomes.

    Wise up dopey.

That's great, Rob! GaryT, from the Retro Road Trip thread, retired as VP of Boeing, so you and he probably had similar security clearances and stuff. He also has an engineering degree and an MBA! I'll invite him for our meeting in Las Vegas in December. You and he should really hit it off!

He's currently in Chicago, visiting his daughter, but I'll try to get him to commit to our LV get together. You guys can talk shop and also discuss the package and stuff. When can we expect you and your family in LV?

Red, I'm not into homos, so you can have him all to yourself....if he exists.
My entire family and I will be up at Lake Tahoe around the Christmas holidays. Why would I go to LV to see two lonely old men?

And here's a little something for Max, which should upset him even more. I'm no international guy? I don't have much here in Az. from my working days, but I had this in one of those "non-wooden" desks in our bedroom. I think this was my 4th to last passport (I have 9 similar in total). Notice the maximum # of addendums, and they're all "full". And guess what dopey.....I'm a real person who has no need to hide behind anonymity!

So let's see you divert and deflect like the humiliated always do, and say "what a goofy picture" or "I could whip one of those fake passports up in ten minutes". Have at it!

Now, Rob, GaryT is married with two daughters. And there will be a nice group in Las Vegas. A couple of my compadres, possibly a nice professional couple from San Diego, some girlfriends and whatnot. That's not counting me or GaryT. I figured you'd want to meet me to verify my existence, and then pick up a package, and interview my partners, and then quiz me to debunk me. Of course, that debunking works both ways, I suppose, so I guess I could ask you and your family about your video poker expertise and all that.

Tell you what, if you can make it to Las Vegas, great. We can get Alan to film the interviews. And if you can't, well, I guess Alan and I could head to Tahoe for the interviews. Sounds good, eh? Just let us know a time and locale. Las Vegas would be better, but if it's Tahoe, that's good, too.

What's the point, Rob? Here you have splendid opportunity, in just a few hours of your time, to verify that I'm a liar, that no package is any proof of anything, that my compadres are all shills, that your family will back up your internet claims. I mean, you can settle thousands of posts and years of your debates in an afternoon! You could get the package, completely debunk it, film interviews with me and my partners, use Alan's vast journalism experience to ask the right questions, get it all on tape, have your family verify all of your claims, see if GaryT exists, use your 40 years of gambling savvy, have Alan film it all, and do it in 24 hours or less! Everything you've ever said will be verified!

Think about it. I'll be hideously embarrassed, revealed as a fraud. Another AP biting the dust -- on tape, in front of your family (bring some friends, trainees if you like).

It'll be great. And, I just received an email from Spock. He has shown some interest in attending, also.

If you cannot make it to Las Vegas, I'll even make the excursion to Tahoe for you and Alan. It'll be great!! Exposing an AP! Doing the public some good!

Don't know a Joseph but I had a grandmother named Maria. My grandfather--her husband of over 75 years--was Antonio. They died within one day of each other (at 95 and 96) both in their sleep. Neither had any major diseases throughout their lives.

Mickey, who gives a rat's ass about stories like that. Sort of like your own gambling tall-tales and yarns of empty shit-hole casinos.
As has been said, the only person who's ever told more made-up stories and tall tales than mickey, is Scotty of Scotty's Castle in Death Valley. It's an interesting visit. While there your tour guide explains that, because Scotty had nothing else going on in his otherwise lonely life, he came up with whopper after whopper for the guests. Everyone paid him lip service by asking questions and laughing often. But when they left, they just shook their heads, and any laughter was AT Scotty.

Mickey could easily have taken Scotty's place.

Sorry Rob, Mickey and KJ both seem credible, not only to me but to others.

Sure, I've no "proof" of their claims, but I am satisfied nonetheless that what they post is not a lie.

For whatever reason, their claims pass "the smell test;" yours don't.

Not that you care what I or anyone else thinks about it; why should you?

Rob.Singer will be forever known as the man with more holes in his stories than a spaghetti drainer.

He has mansions spread thru-out the country but decides to chill in squalor surrounded by ancient electronic relics from the 90's, while seated at a fake wood desk. Yep, I'm buying that everyday of the week. NOT

But, But, But,,,,,,"look I have a used passport"

    Wise Up Robbochio

Your fried brain makes you miss the point V....just as max's stewing over my past success in life makes him say anything that might allow him to feel a tad bit better.

It's got zero to do with caring and everything to do with agitating the little people here. I get a kick out of the reactions of max mostly, because you can tell in his responses that he's trying to self-compare out of some kind of inadequacy. His mistake is constantly falling into my traps, and that's what I call FUN.

mickey has been a drunken clown who says the dumbest things on every forum he's ever posted on. He even admits that. I simply broaden his horizons, and make him claim the silliest of things while telling the tallest of stories ever about "gambling and gamblers in the past" as if they hold any relevance today. In effect, I enjoy making, then watching, him crack. Like an old cheap egg.

The name of the game on a forum like this that's loaded with terrified anonymous people who would NEVER be able to handle having their real name in print (look what happened to that stay-at-home/toe-picking LarryS when some idiot exposed him)--in case you haven't figured it out yet--is to watch the lies spewed by the anonymous "AP's". then watch and almost FEEL their terror as they contemplate what it would be like if people here really knew who THEY were. Many of their--and even your--responses are dead giveaways.

Finally, I post pictures because I know the reality of doing so rattles a few here, and I tingle at their responses that radiate with uncertainty....then envy. A guy like max is especially vulnerable. I'm guessing he finally went back and found my picture of our $1.5million Class A Newell, so in predictable fashion in order to cope, he had no choice but to make the moronic assertion "I don't know anybody who has 2 homes and a big rig" when almost all of my working days friends have at least that much, plus a boat and or a plane.

Yes, the dingbats here reside on a completely different level than we do. Which, In turn, should complete the answer to your question about why would I care about the fools here.

Look at it as a game, with fun and agitation as the goals. And as far as I can see, it doesn't get any better than that when the little people from WoV show up.
