Next up a Stations Mailer... Recently I found the max mailer to be at 1250 but after 2 months of not giving much play they dropped me to 900...

These items are completely misleading, and a truthful answer to blackhole's question wouldn't have hurt.

As a non-local who is ahead of Stations this and last year, my free play and hotel offers stopped as soon as I got ahead. We like staying at GVR & RR so now, even with a President's card, I have to pay. I COULD probably call a host and beg for a free room, but I never talk to hosts. I'd prefer to win the cash by setting my trip win goal a little higher that covers the room and that's exactly what I do.

So for monet to be receiving the 3 & 4-figure free play offers, he's losing. And I'm not believing for a second that such a heavy gambler has the discipline to ever walk into a casino to play his free play thru once and leave. He does exactly what the casino reels him in to do--put the free play ticket in, lose it, the start feeding in the cash.

This seems to be the actual casino happenings. I had a winning day and when I went to one of their kiosks before heading home, I got a free drawing offer and "THERE ARE NO OFFERS AT THIS TIME." on the screen.

Let's say a particular casino is known for giving more free play to people who have not only put a good amount of coin in, but also have taken a significant loss. Naturally, I don't want to lose to get free play. What tactics might you use to win, but have the casino believe you lost.

Of course there may be other things you can do depending on how everything is setup, but some things shouldn't be said publicly.


If the FP amount is significant enough, you could treat it like a (partial) loss rebate and just play a high denom and/or high variance game. Either hit something big....or take a loss and get some/most of the losses back.

You might not be able to do it on video poker anymore but you can bury up win on some of the vulturable games. Like on Aladdin's when a column goes wild. You show a pretty steady loss until a column goes wild. You can pull the card, cash out, then reinsert a ticket and take the next 3 spins without the card in. The Aladdin's pay off when the columns are wild so you bury up that win.

You can do the same thing on other vulturable games but I probably shouldn't publicly name those games at this time. Another benefit of mixing in the vulturable games with your video poker play is you are showing action on 90% games.
