In sharing my journey, my life as a card counter/AP, I mentioned at WoV that I was gay and at the time lived with my partner who was involved in my AP play and a poker player friend. I called it my non-traditional Las Vegas family because it was related to my journey that I was sharing. The problem with defining behaviors as caused by, as opposed to correlated with, physicochemical underpinnings and brain chemistry, is that it's hard to decide when to stop reaching for the degree of causation. Undoubtedly there are biochemical profiles that lean one towards straightness or gayness. But the fact is, if you walk around with a gun to your head that'll go off if you try to date one sex as opposed to the other, most people will manage to live while alive, so to speak. And their physiological leanings aren't going to sway them.
