I have a different question for you, Dan: instead of suggesting that husband and wife, BOTH 7 Stars players, have different address, why not advise them to play on the same card/account to maximize their offers, 7 Stars Experiences, etc.??

If a husband and wife both play for 150,000 tier points they will each make 7 Stars. But if they combined their play, one would still be 7 Stars and the additional 150,000 of tier points would equal 3 of the 7 Star Experience Credits which could be used, for example, for three of the $500 Total Rewards Cards.

Is the extra cruise that valuable that you wouldn't want to combine your play?

I didn't suggest this because I believe it is against CET rules, and you might get into some trouble if your card is registered to a female name, and the host comes down and sees a male playing.

Can't you push the button on the screen to hide that information?

Dan you may be right -- it might be against the rules. And so what if you get caught. You could say "oh gee, I put in my wife's/husband's card by accident." What do you think they'll do? Knock you down to Diamond?

Vpnewbie -- at Rincon yes you can hide the info on the screen on the machines but it still registers on the computers and when you insert your card in a machine or give it at a table game hosts and everyone else know where you are. When the system was installed at Caesars some years ago my host showed me how he can sit at his desk and watch his players -- machine, table, betting, etc. That's how they know where to find you.

Interesting. Do you think it would send up a red flag if for instance I was playing with my card and my husband was also playing with my card at the same time on the other side of the floor.

I just picked up a new card yesterday and the extremely happy woman at the rewards counter asked me if I'd like 2 cards? I thought that was interesting also.

This is stupid and it's what happens when such an inexperienced player such as Dan complains and comes to incomplete conclusions about a slot club's policies.

No casino will say a thing if both Mr. & Mrs. are playing on different machines with Mr.'s two cards. How insane is that? Some of you people are so overly infatuated with the "free stuff" that you know costs most of you many times more than what the junk's worth, that you've made a trip to the casino into a quest to get X amount of comps. I can see the casino managers laughing at and thanking each and every one of you who get roped into such a scenario. And yes, I know there are rumors by all the little people on the gaming forums who make the same foolish claims just to appear as if they know more than the next clown, but no place, not even Palms, Stations, South Point, or Tuscany--places we've been told do not allow it--have any policies whatsoever forbidding dual use. Think about it: policies like this would cut into the casino's action. No husband/wife playing team wants two separate accounts anyway.

I doubt that either my wife or I will ever play enough to reach the status where we'd both earn a cruise. IF by chance it ever happens, we would take advantage of this "same address marriage penalty" and take 2 cruises. Problem solved.

Many people don't have the time (or time off work) to take two separate 7-day cruises.

If you are retired and have all the time in the world, then that's a different story.

Besides, if you have two children and would like to take them on the cruise with you, this "marriage penalty" can really hurt.
