Thread: Regarding Alan not checking into Caesars for $300

  1. #1
You're complaining over A potential $16-$32, but won't check into Caesars for a guaranteed $300????? Are you kidding me??????????

    (Referring to this thread.)

Now don't get me wrong, Suncoast screwed up and should fix it. But your priorities when it comes to profitable gambling are beyond comprehension.

And you are shocked by that?

I know, up is down and right is wrong with Alan. That poor lady has no clue what he’s getting into with that schlep.

Jbjb and Boz. Did both of you miss what monet posted in reference to the discussion about "milking free play offers"?

Again, I could be shortsighted and milk Caesars once or twice. Or, I could look at the long term and not ruin a twenty+ year relationship.

You can be shortsighted. I won't be.

Now with Suncoast I'm complaining that they violated gaming regulations and had the worst customer service. Someone needs to blow a whistle.

As V pointed out, I might get banned from the properties of Boyd but I did the right thing.

    Screw Caesars and a relationship.

    Keep thinking that....

Alan, what do you mean by a "relationship" with Caesars?

Are you referring to protecting your ADT?

Because every time you swipe your card on property (perhaps even for parking), it considers you have taken a "trip" there and will ding your ADT if you don't gamble.

Dan I made one visit to Caesars this year -- 2019 -- when Jacquie and I used my last $100 dining voucher at Nobu.

Except for NYE weekend 2018 I wasn't at Caesars at all in 2018.

I had ZERO play since December 2017 but my play in December 2017 gave me 42,000 tier points for 2018 so I will be high Diamond this year.

For a reason I can't explain I am still getting offers for up to five comped nights and offers of $300 (including free play).

Why screw up a good thing because one day I might need those free nights for visiting relatives? And I do have a host who I talk to frequently.

I would hold out for Wayne Newton Tickets along with the 300 Free Play.
"Mr. Las Vegas" will mark his 60th anniversary with a return to Caesars Palace casino-resort.
His show starts Monday with dates scheduled through May.
Hopefully, Clark and Ellen Griswold will be attending.

Thank you for this information, Monet. I saw a billboard this week advertising Wayne Newton at Caesars but wasn't sure if he was actually performing, or if it was a continuation of that show that has been running at Bally's that is a lot of memorabilia and Wayne talking about his career.

I have never see Wayne Newton perform and given his association with Las Vegas, would like to, so I am going to make an effort to see the show. Maybe a show I can take my mother to. Since moving to Vegas I have come to enjoy Frank Sinatra and Elvis music, so why not Wayne Newton?

I'd see him while you still can, he's an icon of sin city.

His Bally’s show was a disaster with him playing to crowds of 15-30 a night. They are gambling being at Caesars with a different crowd at Cleopatra Barge will help. CB is probably best known as the “Hooker Bar” at CP so I’m not sure it will work. Still Wayne is a legend trying to capitalize on history. Sadly it’s a history most of today’s Vegas visitors don’t care about.

As for Alan, CZR usually sends offers to “dead” players for 14 months from last play based on my history across the country in places like Laughlin, Reno, Tahoe, NO and even Vegas. In other words, you may get free rooms moving forward by logging into TR but the offers will disappear soon. Best to take the $300 while you have it. Also they average you last 3 trips, so if you are getting $300, you had a good ADT over multiple trips and 1 smash and grab wouldn’t kill it if you were a regular player.

In other words, take the play and run, you might get lucky.

Cleopatras Barge is a small venue. Fewer than 80 seats. Maybe only 60.

    100% this

I was about to post something very similar before I read Boz's message.

Alan, these offers aren't like RCs. You can't bank them forever until you need them.

When a player with a good ADT doesn't show up for awhile, they will start sending out some offers in order to entice him back.

If that fails, they will give up and the offers will eventually die.

I would jump on the $300 if I were you.

Don't worry about the host. It's a business relationship, even if it doesn't feel like one. CET hosts are mostly neutered these days, anyway.

One no-play trip isn't going to kill your ability to get a free room through your host if you have years of good play (which I believe you do).

Even if the host brings it up, you can tell him that you ended up feeling sick and couldn't gamble. Given your health history and age, who is going to question that?

It was called "The Gossy Room" when Matt Goss was there in the early-mid 2010s.

He has since moved to the Mirage, and they named it "Cleopatra's Barge" again, though the official name during Goss' residency was "The Gossy Room at Cleopatra's Barge".

Never saw his show, but it is very well liked on Tripadvisor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attracti...as_Nevada.html

To be fair, Wayne Newton is a washed up has been. It's understandable that Wayne is no longer a huge crowd drawer. Besides the hot crowd drawers are the people who are technically has beens but have reached Mega Legend Status. Cher, Britney Spears, and Celine Dion are who I am talking about. If people are going to be given the choice to see either Britney, Celine, or Cher, or Wayne, most people are going to choose either one of the female singers over Wayne.

Dan you have a zero relationship with Caesars. You can't get a host to give you crap.

Thanks, but I'll handle things with Caesars my way.

Alan you really make yourself sound foolish
You have absolutely ZERO CLUE what you are talking about when it comes to harrahs

Please, no trolling this thread. I deleted some messages.

    Anyway...

    Alan, this isn't about me.

Your host won't even get dinged if you book online or through the 800 number. Yes, it will affect their commission on your play GOING FORWARD, but it seems like you've given up on giving Caesars action, so that doesn't matter.

I would totally understand your point if it were $50, but $300 is enough to redeem, especially now being a Vegas local and it being so easy.

Hell, you can even have a "staycation" there with the new girlfriend.

BTW, there is a practical reason why marketing computers at casinos give up on people who stop coming for an extended period of time:

    Gamblers go broke.

A guy who hasn't set foot on the property in 6 months is perhaps just taking his business elsewhere, or maybe taking a break from gambling, and might just need a little "nudge" in the form of an offer to start coming back.

A guy who hasn't set foot on the property in 2 years is either broke, done with gambling, or irreparably angry about something, so he's likely to just take the freeplay and run. That's why they typically don't send offers to dormant players after such time has passed.
