Thread: Alan vs. KJ

What point are you making? That I only write at a high-level when it is my goal to write at a high-level? I'm shocked.

The Gettysburg Address (text) only scores a 101 on the Writing IQ site, so I think I'll be fine. Besides, roughly half of that post was a deliberately less eloquent restatement of what I had eloquently stated in the previous post.

Besides, you got me on, 'Toady,' already. Take your win and be happy with it. That's one more point than most people score on me in a day.

I will admit to many superfluous, "That(s)," but it's never been a problem that I've cared to correct. Shit, there's another one.

I also strongly suspect that Garnabby copy/pasted into Google to see if I plagiarized that and found, "Fuck, the arrogant prick didn't."

I am the poster boy for the flawed IQ test. I tested in the 150's -160's most of my life. Believe me, I am no genius. I always was a good test taker and had a command of common sense, but I am far from a genius.

I also have no writing skills other than to recite and analyze facts. I have no creativity at all. Those high IQ test results always were a problem with my mother who thought I should "do something with your life" when all I wanted to do was gamble.

Didn't William Shatner, upon his jubilant return to Earth, remark that everything we learn comes from someone else? No, now I recall, he said this the day before, on a talk show.

Perhaps, Einstein was just the first one who was dumb enough to spend his life to try to prove out Relativity Theory. He went on to remark that his life was a failure, that he lost his imagination.

William Shatner went to space? That's pretty neat. Language is passed from generation to generation; given that our learning at this point in our evolution is primarily language-driven, yes, most everything we learn comes from someone else. I guess there are a handful of functions that we instinctively perform (such as breathing) without being taught, but not many.

Good on you for being big enough to confirm my suspicion, if only in a roundabout way.

(The estimated IQ of this post is: 117 (High Intelligence)) LOL

On Oct. 13, actor William Shatner, 90, best known for his role as Star Trek's Captain James T. Kirk, went to space for real aboard a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket. He was aloft for only 10 minutes—but they were 10 minutes that forever transformed him.

Good stuff Regnis…you can sorta tell just by reading who may have a high IQ. I always kinda suspected you, Danny J,and yes even Rob to have above average IQ’s….it’s also fairly easy to tell who have some of the lowest. I would guess Garnabby, Tasha and “Coach”Belly are 3 of the largest dumbfucks here

Tasha for sure, but not the other two; most posters are probably average or a bit above.

But yeah, if the Gettysburg Address only ranks 101 I think the test is not accurate.

Don't sleep on Garnabby. He's been coming at me lately for reasons beyond my understanding, but I think the dude's pretty smart, honestly. I tend to think that much gets lost in translation because he sometimes seems to have his own way of communicating, which I think is mostly for his personal amusement. I tend to think much of what he says is something to be decoded, for those who care to do so, which I often don't just because it's too much work.

As MisterV suggests, Coach Belly is also a smart cookie. I mean, he uses the Socratic method as his primary tool for fucking with people, what else could you want?

Tasha...I don't have a read on her, but she fucks with people in extremely creative ways.

    Hmmm ... good point.

Sometimes I suspect she's just a sock, toying with us, but then I recall the early-on aborted "meet n greet" fiasco involving a black woman, a casino, a handbag and a forum poster, so that at least smacks of reality.

If she's "real" then there may be some intelligence there trying to get out, but it's raw and amorphous.
    What, Me Worry?

It's a shame that Garnabby doesn't post on DT as I just scored an estimated IQ 132 (Genius) totally off-the-cuff, no edit. That's like a no-scope head-shot on a newb, or whatever the hell kids do in video games these days. I probably didn't say that right.

"Raw and amorphous," if so, that sounds like potential to me. You could take amorphous intelligence and mold it into whatever you wish!

Some of us don't do that.
I grew up in a house without a phone so I barely use it.
I did use it for a few years taking jackpot pictures but that fun wore off too.
I don't even pay for my iphone service or I probably wouldn't have one.
    Not afraid of microchips.
Just don't want one in my body.
I'm more afraid of the Government forcing people to take a vaccine or microchip to be a part of society.
However, I'm on the fringe of society anyways so if they do write that into law I'll just go into the wilderness.
    Probably... to die.

The problem with Coach Belly using the Socratic Method is that it's almost always asymmetric. If someone posits questions back to him that expose flaws or contradictions on his end, he just ignores them or goes non sequitur. Go back and check his recent posts. Whenever a question gets tossed at him that he doesn't want to answer, he goes non sequitur or clams up until a completely different topic presents itself.

This is all wishful thinking in that weirdo head of yours. Coach has roasted you so many times and has slathered the BBQ sauce in just the right places, that your ass is more than well-done.

Which questions are you referencing?... maybe I missed them.

    Use the quote function.

We could start with your conjectures regarding how much per game I would charge people if working on a percent of profit basis. That pretty much exposed that (A) you didn't read what I previously said on the subject and (B) you have zero idea how I work or what I do.

LOL. It's easy to play the Socratic Method game if you're always taking the role of Socrates. And Socrates you ain't. The only actual gambling content you've furnished is a seven-year-old correction of somebody's free play description.

My conjectures are not questions that I didn't answer.

I don't see any quote with a question tossed at me that I ducked.

Try again...put up or shut up, you fucking handjob.

Yes, but the address was given more than 150 years ago. Iq tests, even other applications of it, have changed remarkably in just the last 100 years. The quote of Lincoln's above initially tested followed a bit of careful screening to weed out accounts of historical events. To find something someone would write about in our era. Something timeless.

At any rate, I got the 123-score without using a bunch of big words. So, Mission, let me sleep. Ha.
