Yeah, well in the end, if I'm wrong I'll admit it. But if I'm right no way in hell will you admit you were wrong. Kneejerk liberals never admit to being wrong about anything.

So CDC is recommending everyone that goes out use a facemask. The president says he won't use one, so it is unlikely he will issue an order mandating it. But individual states might, probably are even likely to. So where the freak do you get a face mask, even non medical grade? Amazon has a wide variety, but nothing that will be delivered before some time in May at the earliest (even for Prime members).

You can make your own. There are patterns online. Basically, you can use material from sheets, cut the pattern, and create a pocket inside which you can fill with multiple layers of gauze or, better yet, HEPA filters. Tough to find elastic these days, but you can use the borders from fitted sheets for the elastic. These'll do until good masks become commercially available or aren't outrageously priced.

Not as good as N-95's, obviously, but better than nothing. If you use gauze for the filters, you can remove it after being outside, dispose of it, wash the mask in really hot water, and replace the gauze for next trip. If you have two or three of these, you're good to go.

It's not like I knew any of this. The girlfriend looked it up, made some prototypes, and her second try was a really good mask.

Runnings, Menards, large farm/painting and garden supply type stores probably your best bets. I don’t think those stores have anything to do with Las Vegas more upper Midwest so I’d think a Home Depot/Lowe’s type store would be your best bet appropriate for this subforum. Low quality “dust mask” type masks would usually be there for people who work around paint, sawdust etc. Idk if they’re able to keep them stocked now.

There are no face masks left for sale in Great Falls. I'm using a bandana bought at Walmart. Yeah, I know, not the best set up. I guess a quick fix would be a coffee filter and rubber bands.

Have several nurse friends. They all posted they almost pass out after wearing the N-95's for lengthy periods.

Yep, you're right. Best to let everyone die without trying.

“From Fauci [US government infectious diseases adviser, Dr Anthony Fauci] to the head of the World Health Organization, everyone says trials. It may be worse than nothing. We don’t know,” he said.

“The nationalistic shuttering down of export and import of drugs is serious. Drugs are manufactured in relatively small numbers of places and have to be moved to other places.

“The indirect harm could be worse than the impact of Covid-19,” he said. “it is not just the drugs that might work. It is all drugs. Italy, for instance, is a major source of drugs for the NHS. This is a very big area. It is getting bigger by the minute. And the opportunity to answer the sensible question – do these things work, yes or no? – is narrowing as countries become more nationalistic in terms of hoarding drugs.”

At least 250 million pills to be manufactured in U.S. in April, maybe more. I've already addressed doctors prescribing the drug for themselves, relatives and friends as a propylactic. This led to some shortages. Hopefully, our leaders are on top of this shortage situation.

I think globalism is going to be a big casualty of the pandemic. The present situation of being dependent on foreign countries for medicines is despicable. It has to change, not just for drugs but many other things. The U.S should not be dependent on any country for anything.

I don't know much about it but I do know that it isn't cost effective to manufacture in the USA.
I know Trump wants to bring it all back in theory but the logistics seem impossible.
I would be impressed if we avoid another major war or world war in the near future.
Earthquakes seem to be on the rise recently in Utah, Idaho and Colorado.
Current Events seem to be lining up with Biblical Prophecy.

    In the Bible

Appearance on Lake Tiberias by Duccio, 14th century, showing Jesus and the 7 fishing disciples (with Saint Peter leaving the boat). It has been noted that the Tetragrammaton occurs 153 times in the Book of Genesis.

The Gospel of John (chapter 21:1–14) includes the narrative of the miraculous catch of 153 fish as the third appearance of Jesus after his resurrection. [Note that 1^3 + 5^3 + 3^3 = 153.]

The precision of the number of fish in this narrative has long been considered peculiar, and many scholars, throughout history, have argued that 153 has some deeper significance. Jerome, for example, wrote that Oppian's Halieutica listed 153 species of fish, although this could not have been the intended meaning of the Gospel writer because Oppian composed Halieutica after the Gospel text was written, and at any rate never gave a list of fish species that clearly adds up to 153.

Augustine of Hippo argued that the significance lay in the fact that 153 is the sum of the first 17 integers (i.e. 153 is the 17th triangular number), with 17 representing the combination of divine grace (the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit) and law (the Ten Commandments). Theologian D. A. Carson discusses this and other interpretations and concludes that "if the Evangelist has some symbolism in mind connected with the number 153, he has hidden it well", while other scholars note that "no symbolic significance for the number of 153 fish in John 21:11 has received widespread support."

Writers claiming a major role for Mary Magdalene have noted that in Greek isopsephy her epithet "η Μαγδαληνή" bears the number 8 + 40 + 1 + 3 + 4 + 1 + 30 + 8 + 50 + 8 = 153, thus, it is suggested, revealing her importance. Similarly, the phrase "τὸ δίκτυον" (the net) used in the passage bears the number 1224 = 8 × 153, as do some other phrases. The significance of this is unclear, given that Koine Greek provides a choice of several noun endings with different isopsephy values. The number 153 has also been related to the vesica piscis, with the claim that Archimedes used 153 as a "shorthand or abbreviation" for the square root of 3 in his On the Measurement of the Circle. However, examination of that work shows this to be only partly correct.

Evagrius Ponticus referred to the catch of 153 fish, as well as to the mathematical properties of the number (153 = 100 + 28 + 25, with 100 a square number, 28 a triangular number and 25 a circular number) when describing his 153-chapter work on prayer. Louis de Montfort, in his fifth method of saying the Rosary, connects the catch of 153 fish with the number of Hail Marys said (3 plus 15 sets of 10), while St Paul's School in London was founded in 1512 by John Colet to teach 153 poor men's children, also in reference to the catch.

Cliff notes....DEMOCRATIC female legislator from Michigan credits Trump and Hydroxychlorquine with saving her life.

Not something you see everyday. Sure she will be shunned by the liberals quickly.

I have more faith in my voodoo numbers than in Trump's claim that the drug works, go take it. Ha, even he's going to take it. Not.

So about 3 weeks ago when Trump first mentioned chloroquine, I read everything I could find on it. One of the things I read was that it treats malaria by raising PH levels which kills the enzyme that transmits malaria through the body. I posted about it at the time about 3 weeks ago.

I found this interesting because I have LPR, a type of acid reflux, that damages tissue in the upper throat. An enzyme in the stomach, pepsin, makes its way to the throat area, where it eats at the tissue in that area that is not designed to handle pepsin, which is supposed to remain in the stomach. Besides medicine that I take to try to control that enzyme, my doctor advises that drinking alkaline water, that would be water with raised PH levels because it kills the enzyme. So when I read about Chloroquine, I thought "wow, same thing, higher PH levels kill the enzyme".

So tonight on one of the national news shows, they has a scientist from university of California answering questions. The question was how does Chloroquine work against coronavirus, and her answer was that it raises PH levels. Unlike the two examples I gave, malaria, and pepsin, the raised PH levels don't kill or neutralize the corona virus, but instead just creates a higher PH level that is less desirable condition for the virus to multiply. Result: there are fewer infected cells, for your immune system to fight off.

This seems pretty good to me. There are no side effects to drinking alkaline water and it is inexpensive, so I recommend people consider this.
