The Interview With Alan M. On June 16

First, I apologize to kew for taking all his needed attention away from him in the past few days. At my command :) he should have it back shortly, where his feeling of relevancy should once again get a self-boost so he can continue on with his concocted internet forum life--THE most important thing to him in this world.

I've had a string of good luck recently. A dealt $160k royal seemed like the end-all, didn't it? Of course, it immediately brought out the haters, the first of which was this Boy Wonder jbjb, who because it was such a terrible gut-shot to him, immediately came on to say he's "seen that exact jackpot on the internet". But alas, just when he got everyone on the edge of their seats waiting for his evidence, he never came through. That's what happens when you lie, jbjb. After that, we had the usual grumblings about how "it just can't be true" and such, but these boys just ran out of options and after a few sleepless nights, the ache faded.

Then the $1.5mil happened, and all hell broke loose. Kew tried using (multiple times, as he always does when direct hits occur) "Singer set us up!...he said he was gonna get a big hit on $25 five-play UX because he FOUND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE!" He also neglected to say I was ready to possibly lose $400k in the process. But guess what--why pressed, he could not find where it came from. That's because it came from ME.

So max, quietly suffering in the background over this, tries to come to his rescue with some very confusing story about how some Hi-limit slot lady at Caesars told him? about taking a pic of a $1.5mil hit that included four 3's. So they ran with that.

The problem with this story is, it SOUNDS easy enuf to verify, but it's been diluted so much with change (and likely, purposely so) that even Columbo couldn't follow it. I've even offered to pay the gal for the time-stamped picture. But it seems we're now at the point where anyone who cares enuf to can go over to Caesars and show them my picture, while asking if this rare winner was hit there. Naturally, it wasn't, because A. That UX machine doesn't and has never existed in the general population in Nevada; and B. I'm the one who hit it, elsewhere.

There's been other conspiracy theories like kew and his desperately sought after "secret VP jackpot pictures website" and the VERY SILLY "That's not your son taking the picture because of oblique angles, reflection curving etc." but we're getting into the minutiae with this stuff. Suffice it to say that there is and will never be any real evidence out there that contradicts the fact that I hit this and ONLY I hit this. To the chagrin of many.

Now, the interview. I'm not sure who sees it or what's done with it but it doesn't matter. I'll do it because I was asked to and since we're going up to Reno and Lake Tahoe prior to driving back to our home in S. Dakota, I booked a stop in LV for this on 6/16. For what it's worth I'll bring the original $1,602,000 tax form from the win, but none of my Singer-hating pals will accept it as real because it's not in their DNA. Nonetheless, I'm real, and I'll be there!

Finally, notwithstanding the possibility that I'm presenting yet another opportunity with this post for redietz to chime in with some outwordly melody again....kew: you're dismissed. You always miss the mark, and I feel like I'm dealing with a 3rd grader when you get so discombobulated over my big wins. And max----I keep hearing that you "can support everything you say" and that "everything Singer says is a lie". Oh really? Can you show evidence that my MONEY is fake? Can you show evidence that my GOLD is fake? (And you haven't seen it all). Can you provide evidence that EITHER ONE OF MY RECENT BIG WINS aren't real? On and on.

Yeah, you beat me to it. I lugged six digits around Las Vegas for more than a year, and I still couldn't convince anyone I won 1.6 million! Why are people so damned skeptical? I think I figured this out. The math's not exact unless you count both jackpots, but then it is. The jackpot was in pesos. Rob didn't say where he won it, remember?

$100,000 equals 1.9 million pesos. Rob pillaged the Mexicans, then hightailed it for Las Vegas. Makes sense.

I know nothing about any of this tech stuff, but if it's on Rob's phone, wouldn't a meta-data analysis reveal both the date and user origin of the photo?

Um...so what happened to the $700k in escrow with Bob Nersesian claim....which was proven a lie this morning?

I am just trying to keep score. Is that the way this works....one claim proven a lie so we just move on to the next set of lies and phony claims? :confused:

That's kind of what I just suggested.

On an Android Phone you can look in the Gallery and click on the three dots in the bottom right and show Details. It will show you the date and if you have location tracking turned on it will show you the location too. You can also see the pictures taken just before and after.

On an IPhone you just press and hold on the picture and choose info from the menu list that pops up.

Over the years Rob has written about his son numerous times. Long before this latest brouhaha. If you bet he doesn't have a son you will lose, poser pro.

Rob trying to change a bet about whether he won 1.6 million and is lugging 700K around to whether he has a son. LOL. I wish sports books were this flexible.

1) In what casino was the jackpot won?
2) What day and time was it won?
3) Who verified the jackpot for the casino?
4) How was the payment made?
5) How does Rob intend to spend the money?

If someone skips any of these questions, and there is no valid reason to skip any of them, the interview is silly. I think you'll agree that any editor would assume you asked all of these.

If someone is posting publicly about having won a jackpot, then the reasons for an NDA go out the window. Wife or children finding out? Read VCT. Debtors? Read VCT. People hitting you up for cash from afar? They can read VCT. I don't know why someone would write that they signed an NDA with a casino while posting publicly about what they signed the NDA for. Don't want anyone to know because you may blow it all back to the casinos and that would be embarrassing? Why post about it on VCT?

The cherry on top, of course, is Alan's researching the use of NDAs between casinos and jackpot winners.

You're missing the point. These are questions any reporter would ask, and any editor would require that they ask. What's on a W2G is irrelevant from my perspective in terms of establishing who won a particular jackpot. All the W2G establishes is who is claiming the tax burden. You've ignored what I've had to say regarding W2Gs, but I'll repeat it.

All that a W2G demonstrates is who is paying taxes for a particular win. That is all that it establishes. Unless you look at a feed of the time of the win, a W2G has limited corroborative power.

So asking all of the questions I listed, which any editor would want, opens the person being interviewed up to independent investigation and corroboration. For example, I'm reasonably sure that a win of that magnitude would be kept on video for ages. If you ask the alleged winner where in the casino it was won or who was around when it was won, then you have details which can be corroborated.

You wonder why I have so many messages? LOL. I'm popular. Or I'm trying to recruit children for porn movies. One or the other.

I don't play with folders or know how to rearrange things, so every message stays put until I need to create space, in which case I delete ones I think have the least long term use. That creates some poignant historical moments, like I have messages when you gave me Frank Kneeland's email and I bought his book. I hate to just delete those. I keep some of the exchanges, like when you saw that I won the Race to the Super Bowl for 25K and you told me to post a link and I didn't because I wanted you to admit in print that you saw that I won it. And then Rob went off saying I didn't win it, and you wouldn't confirm that I did. Exchanges like that have historical value.

I'm in LV right now max, and we'll be at SP within the hour. I'm early because of what I just finished up doing---something which you won't be happy about either. Ask Dan to verify I'm posting on my phone from the LV Strip. But first, you've purposely been cloudy on whether you're showing up or bringing your $100,000 with you. Plus my son fully expects you two to view each other's ID's. How about a confirmation?

Redietz do you even know what an NDA is? It's a TWO-PARTY SIGNED DOCUMENT. And if you read properly you'd have seen where we have a verbal agreement. That can be broken by either side without penalty but as long as they don't, I won't.

Because the idiot squad here will never want to believe pictures, words, or anything else relating to this hurtful big win, and they had to come up with all kinds of stupid theories about it just so they could cope with it's reality, I decided to try and DISPROVE the only one that just might have some merit, even though it's purposely been convoluted with confusion and sketchy facts every time max tries to make the story up.

We just got out of a long walk and a few discussions with several managers and other slot personnel in Caesar's hi -limit slot dome as well as a very interesting visit to the Palace Ct. Hi-limit slot room. And guess what I found out.

First, a dome slot dispatcher (I think that's her title) Mahina, showed me that there are ZERO UX VP machines in Palace Ct. And that's their Ultra hi-limi t slot area. Then, a slot Suprv. Rick Simon or Simeon explained and showed us that there are no $25 UX 5 or 10-play machines under the dome, which I already knew because I painstakingly checked with every higher end Nevada casino prior to turning to negotiating for the game.

Lastly, daytime hi-limit slots manager Kenda High confirmed that my picture was not from Caesars, nor do they have or have ever seen a VP machine there capable of a $1.5million jackpot--and ESPECIALLY not with a hand like four 3's, as max has stated multiple times.

So go check this stuff out for yourself, you bunch of bumbling sleuths. If it's too much to bear, the feeling will pass when I stop posting after my next post. Or maybe not! I know how much you were depending on Max's silly twisted story to ease your hurt. Too bad--deal with it.

Now what are you left with....a "fake son" who took pictures of the win at some "oblique" or "curved" reflection angle--or whatever nonsense you're talking about? All that's gonna do is cost you $100k.

By the wway, after leaving the PC HL slots room I stopped in the PC HL table games room for a look. No one was playing and I don't know what their limits are, but I asked a suit if I could make just one $5000 bet on the BJ table. I have some other comments about Rob's comentary this morning, like if Rob was in Vegas, which I doubt and did have any money, which I doubt even more, what kind of person buys a $5000 chip and plays a single hand of a game that he admittedly knows nothing about? The answer of course would be a degenerate gambler. We can debate whether this incident really occured but just Rob thinking that impresses anyone, other than maybe Alan is bizarre to me. To me it confirms Rob's thought process as a degenerate gambler, whether he did this or not (he didn't).

I asked for Kneeland's email at some point, and I also asked for Scoblete's, which led to me getting Scoblete's book. Both Franks were very polite and easy to get along with.

In my opinion, no that is not enough. I know people will think that is me being vengeful, but history has shown this guy just keeps coming with his proven BS stories and claims. There have been a number of times that he has been pretty thoroughly debunked, not to mention humiliated and his play has been to lay low for a month or two and then just double down and keep coming, usually with some new, ridiculous claim of even higher escalation.

In addition, on any other forum, renegging on a wager which Singer has clearly done, and the involvement of someone like Bob Nersesian, in his lie concerning $700,000 escrow would be grounds for immediate and permanent removal. I mean if not this, what more does it require?

That's true. There's much more expertise, and wide-ranging expertise, than back when it was just Singer and Arci head to head, with Spock and myself occasionally chiming in. That's when Alan owned it, and I guess Rob was able to get away with junk back then that doesn't fly an inch now. I just don't get what his point is. If the argument is that he's tweaking serious gamblers with a wink/wink, why get into all of this kewlJ hatred and saying my late wife committed suicide and all of these sick lies? I was tempted to contact Caesars to verify any of the names Rob threw out today. Could he have been so stupid as to have made up those names? I have a different take than most of you. I think these two threads and the reactions to Rob were hilarious. Of course I'm just a troublemaker who like to stir the pot and who knew Rob when he was trolling the Las Vegas Advisor forums (under several aliases) 20 years ago. Alan (MoneyLA) was there too....so it's like old home week for me. Rob caused quite a stir to the point where he was banned. I actually think there's some interesting psychology at work.

I can't wait to read Alan's article on this one. Alan always contributed a lot of good Vegas tidbits back then and I always enjoyed his posts.

If someone skips any of these questions, and there is no valid reason to skip any of them, the interview is silly. I think you'll agree that any editor would assume you asked all of these.

If someone is posting publicly about having won a jackpot, then the reasons for an NDA go out the window. Wife or children finding out? Read VCT. Debtors? Read VCT. People hitting you up for cash from afar? They can read VCT. I don't know why someone would write that they signed an NDA with a casino while posting publicly about what they signed the NDA for. Don't want anyone to know because you may blow it all back to the casinos and that would be embarrassing? Why post about it on VCT?

The cherry on top, of course, is Alan's researching the use of NDAs between casinos and jackpot winners.

You're missing the point. These are questions any reporter would ask, and any editor would require that they ask. What's on a W2G is irrelevant from my perspective in terms of establishing who won a particular jackpot. All the W2G establishes is who is claiming the tax burden. You've ignored what I've had to say regarding W2Gs, but I'll repeat it.

All that a W2G demonstrates is who is paying taxes for a particular win. That is all that it establishes. Unless you look at a feed of the time of the win, a W2G has limited corroborative power.

So asking all of the questions I listed, which any editor would want, opens the person being interviewed up to independent investigation and corroboration. For example, I'm reasonably sure that a win of that magnitude would be kept on video for ages. If you ask the alleged winner where in the casino it was won or who was around when it was won, then you have details which can be corroborated.

You wonder why I have so many messages? LOL. I'm popular. Or I'm trying to recruit children for porn movies. One or the other.

I don't play with folders or know how to rearrange things, so every message stays put until I need to create space, in which case I delete ones I think have the least long term use. That creates some poignant historical moments, like I have messages when you gave me Frank Kneeland's email and I bought his book. I hate to just delete those. I keep some of the exchanges, like when you saw that I won the Race to the Super Bowl for 25K and you told me to post a link and I didn't because I wanted you to admit in print that you saw that I won it. And then Rob went off saying I didn't win it, and you wouldn't confirm that I did. Exchanges like that have historical value.

I wanted to correct one thing. I just got back from lunch. The book I bought was Frank Scoblete's, not Frank Kneeland's. I conflated the Franks' last names. I asked for Kneeland's email at some point, and I also asked for Scoblete's, which led to me getting Scoblete's book. Both Franks were very polite and easy to get along with.

And Alan, if you really think Person A hasn't accept Person B's tax liability on a regular basis, you haven't hung out at many racetracks or sports books the last 50 years. In other words, you're pretty naive for the son of mob lawyer.

Well, I was a journalism major for two years until I switched over to English/writing option at Penn State. My first "real job" was as sportswriter/photographer for a weekly newspaper in Pennsylvania. I covered and photographed all sports, wrote the columns, and did a handicapping column. Previously, while in college, I wrote and co-wrote sports columns for small local papers and had my photos published. Back then I developed my own photos using the newspaper's darkrooms. My mother-in-law wrote for the local papers and my father-in-law took photos. He had taught me how to use a darkroom.

The guy I trained under in college was one of the best science writers of that generation. He was my advisor. His name was Bob Gannon, and if you haven't heard of him, you probably should have. He had more than a hundred feature stories published in Popular Science. He was the "adventure editor." He taught me the rules and regs of science writing and he was my go-to guy when I needed a reference letter for grad school or jobs.

Now this isn't the same as having worked a lifetime in journalism as Alan has, but it's possible I'm the second most experienced journalist on this forum. I have had a handful of op eds published in various papers during my 40-year stint as a handicapper. Plus an award-winning essay in The Humanist. Plus some other stuff. My blog is, I guess, a kind of pseudo-journalism, but it's up to between 500 and 900 reads a month, so somebody is reading it.

I guess, if anybody is going to criticize the best journalist on this forum, the duty falls to arguably the second most experienced journalist on the forum.
