BUT, in what little I have gathered from others, Rob's claims of success, winning a substantial amount playing -EV game is just not credible. Completely flies against the math, just like 18 y.o.'s. Perhaps that is what you have in common, two negative EV gamblers, with impossible stories. That also would explain while the casinos like both of you so much. ;)

kewlj, it wasn't funny what Rob said about me... but it was Rob. And Rob says silly, stupid things sometimes. He knows it. I've told him on the phone and face to face. And he is a friend of mine -- both before AND after he says things like he said about my divorces. In fact, he's invited me to spend the weekend with one of my girlfriends in tow.

This is why I have said it over and over again on this forum: Rob has an "internet persona." It's not the real Rob. Frankly, Rob shouldn't have an internet persona. He'd be much better off being the real Rob.

Ya know kewlj, I don't care if you believe the 18 yos report. Because I didn't throw the dice. I have no claim to fame here. I stood there without even a buck on the bet. Neither did the other two guys. After all, betting on the yo is a bad bet, isn't it? LOL

For the record I tried to get the tape from Caesars but it was gone. That's when I found out the tapes are quickly reused UNLESS they are marked to be held because of a dispute. There was no dispute. But there was amazement.

Don't believe me... I don't care. But it happened. I will never expect it to happen again, but it happened. Same thing with my two $100K royals. Imagine the chance that a regular $5 player such as myself for a short period of time would switch to $25 and hit royals twice, a year apart, both in October????

It's entertaining watching the number and type of names kew calls people whom he just can't convince about his claims. It's very similar to the liberals. They are the most TOLERANT of people when asked about their personality....until, that is, someone comes along and disagrees with them or asks them a tough question such as for evidence. Then--it's a blast of vulgarity and name-calling, done solely as if they are some kind of victim.

These AP's don't believe the 18 yos because they don't WANT to believe it. It's a tuff tug (careful kew...:)) against the math. It's the same story with my success playing 99.5% games instead of lying and saying the games were 100.1% just to appease them instead of frustrating them. They don't like it, they hate anything that's possible but goes against book theory, so they claim it isn't real.

OTOH, we have kew, who came here as a refugee from WoV, with wild claims of "Look at me!...Look at me!...I win win win at bj." And oh, BTW, "I count 2 tables". "Now I won't say anything about winning at BJ because only super special people can do that and we all already know that counting is the bomb--bbbbut I can go one better: I can count TWO TABLES SIMULTANEOUSLY, but I won't prove it because I'm anonymous and I don't HAVE to prove it!!" "And if you keep harping about it then all you are is homophobic."

Oh yes, those two $25 royals. The only way these clowns were able to say they believed you is if they added in the caveat that you must certainly lost it all and more. I even gave them some fuel and they were off & running:) I regularly heard those sour grapes every time I put a trip report up in my GT column. It soothes the soul....

Once again, not accurate because of the math. You guys just took it on the chin with kew's silky two tables claim, and now you double down on your lack of math knowledge with this? There is zero evidence of intelligent life outside of our planet at this time. That's 0%. On the other hand, what Alan says he witnessed is absolutely entirely possible, according to the math, that is. And don't you people claim to live by the math? Ain't that the truth Mickey! :( We still get mail on all our accounts, but it is so much less than just a few years ago. Our machine play EV is dependent on decent mail. I am OK if it dries up. Machine play (which my partner handles all of now) has always been a supplemental thing for me. Almost like found money. I am a blackjack player. That's what I moved to Vegas to pursue. As long as I can make my upper 5 figures EV a year (average) from blackjack, I am very happy and can live comfortably, especially here in Vegas burbs where the cost of living is pretty low. :)

This is where more AP confusion comes in. "EV" is not an income, it's just an "expected" income. What AP's love to say are statements like (and mickey is very prolific with this) "I've found a play that's worth $55/hour if I do this & that". But just like what kew states, it's really nothing more than theory, which means an income consisting of phantom bucks and nothing more until they've actually PLAYED and there is a real result. But don't ever ask for final proof: it's an insult to do so. Better to keep it all within the realm of theory, than have the clarity of reality......

You already did! He was never able to hold back or do what he said he would do his first six months either. Especially when some "AP" shows up and starts claiming because they've calculated some play to be +EV, that's automatic money in their pocket. Realists know better. I can see how you feel insulted when asked to prove your claims. But would you please tell us the names of the casinos where you get a free room night just for signing up for the card. Or is this just another of your unsubstantiated claims? Yes, it is.

Free rooms are easiest to believe-and seem to be the main drawing card. I tried another casino- didn't like it- and got offers even when I just came to play off my freeplay- about a 5 minute visit. Marguarittaville still sends weekly offers even though they dropped me a level for decreased play- still think they are managed by something akin to an Indian casino. Strangely, Horseshoe has lowered it's offers- but that's where the machines, atmosphere, and cleanliness are best. I'm only 40 minutes away, so these room offers mean nothing- especially with few playing hours.
Well, after posting I looked up some info and it appears Marguarittaville HAS been sold to an Alabama tribe. The difference in machines is so obvious, it's a wonder ANYONE plays.

Slingshot's theory is that the new owners rigged the machines. The vp games don't hit flushes, and the slots don't hit bonus rounds. Link to previous thread:

Not that it matters, but the casino never actually changed ownership. Alabama's Poarch Band of Creek Indians tried to purchase Margaritaville Bossier City, but the deal failed, reportedly due to disputes involving licensing fees and naming rights.

C'mon, Sling, Singer's system works on any machine. The payscale don't matter.

As a matter of fact, I have had better luck at 1,2,and 5 credits with the single play strategy on quarters. That's a total of 1200 credits. The wins are small but better than losing.

At least three of those casinos mentioned by rob do not exist anymore and at least another three I have had no such offer with minimal play in my experience. Not that everyone didn't already know he's making everything up as he goes along.

We walked through Hard Rock Tahoe a few months ago. Not much to see, didn't play, was there all of two minutes. I believe the promotion then for new sign ups was a nights stay for 30 minutes of slot play (as I recall, I don't know the details). Since we didn't want to spend 30 more minutes there, let alone a night, we left.

No rush to judgment here about free rooms: you have no idea what the conditions were when the promotion was offered. It could have been during the Christmas holiday season when these casino hotels are usually empty and begging for people to come by.

For a while Harrahs/Caesars was famous for handing out free rooms.

Personally I think it's a non issue what happened in the past. Tell me about free offers NOW.

Well, I just checked the Hard Rock Tahoe website and it's the same promotion, drive on up to Tahoe, play for 30 minutes at the renovated Horizon and get a free standard room for the night.

There it is folks! That is Alan Mendelson, your honest (<- HA!) journalist, in all his integrity, just anxious to investigate for our behalf. I'll let you all draw your on conclusions, but for me....let's see...what's the word I am looking for? ......oh yeah.... SHYSTER!

I just wanted to clarify a few things.

Alan's made some ultra-bold posts asking, "Redietz, why didn't you post the stuff yourself?" That would have been a reasonable thing to ask if (1) I had asked Alan to post anything in the package or (2) I expected Alan to post anything. I did not. What I EXPECTED Alan to do was one of two things.

I expected Alan at some point to (1) eyeball the stuff and report that (A) I was the R.E.Dietz in the material and (B) the material confirmed the bulk of anything I claimed to have done in posts on this site. That would have settled the ongoing idiotic and frankly libelous accusations by Mr. Singer that I am perpetrating some kind of identity theft and that I am making fraudulent claims. Or I expected (2) if Alan wasn't up for debunking his friend, to simply mail the stuff on to Dan so he could do it.

Now it's possible Alan couldn't afford the forwarding postage (as gas money may have been an issue), but I would have reimbursed him.

Next point: why didn't I post the material myself? I have answered this, but I will channel arci's patience in his absence and answer it again. The majority of the material does not fall under fair use guidelines as far as I know. My name is not attached to headlines, or credits, and the bulk is not scholarly material. Therefore it is not legal, far as I know, to just photograph the majority of it and post it publicly. In fact, one published essay, as I recall, has the essay title on the cover of the magazine, but not my name. So in that case, I'm not sure what is accomplished by posting the magazine cover. Regarding the legality, Alan and Rob seem to claim otherwise. How they can say this without actually having read the stuff, I do not know, but okay. To this I say, fine, post it yourselves and assume the legal ramifications. I'm good with that, certainly.

Because I PM'ed him explaining exactly what was in the package.

Final point: Given all of this, and Alan's distaste for proving his friend, Mr. Singer, to have been libeling me, why didn't Alan just send the material on to Dan? Good question.

I have received numerous private messages from that "silent majority", those that either no longer post here or won't post here because of Singer and Alan. I know all this stuff,and was into it before I even knew Rob- I didn't just jump into VP without knowledge. I even had VP help programs on my computer which would stop my play whenever I made a "mistake" on my selections. My favorite play was when I "mistakenly" held 3 to royal and had to override program- I hit the royal. I still have my favorite VP book which goes into great detail on various hands- even has a section on what to hold on progressive VP jackpots. But this is real LIVE casino play and I can recognize the difference between past play and what's going on now. I don't recall many days when I played without at least two quads. And when I sit by a player visiting from Vegas and he tells me he's been playing 12 hours and 4 6's is his first quad- that's a red light to me. To top that off, two of my former coworkers who keep asking me where I've been have hit bottom at this place-one going through a divorce. Screw that.

Look here's what Tony told me: there are various photo copies of articles and what look like display ads showing the names of contest winners. The name Robert Dietz is on many of those pages. I'm not surprised and it's what I expected. Do I still have to inspect the package?

Tony says there are no copies of a driver license or passport or birth certificate or green card or any ID. So Rob is going to say the articles don't prove anything. What a surprise that will be.

Frankly redietz why did you even bother? Nothing had changed. No one had won except for the licensee of the Sammy Davis YouTube videos who had a few more clicks because Biloxi Bill had a chance to cream in his shorts.

Fourth, I wasn't holding you to some kind of contract to be an arbiter. But your decision that you didn't want the material FOLLOWED your decision to post an address to have me send it, so naturally forum readers would assume you were going to say something about it.

Fifth, I'm getting the feeling my chain may been yanked multiple times here. Alan posts an address to which to send the package. Was it to see if I really had material and was going to send it? I don't know. I say "Alrighty!" Suddenly Alan changes his mind.

Then, Alan asks me to verify why the name on the return label isn't mine, and that he's going to post a photo of the front of the mailer with the name and address on it. Was it to see if I would think it was a bad idea? I don't know. I say, basically, alrighty again. Rob blows a gasket and puts himself in another position to be identified as a liar (once again). And then Alan changes his mind . . . again.

Just send the stuff off to Dan, for God's sake. I'll reimburse you the postage. It's not that complicated.

Here's one better. The address on the package label is 75 miles from the address to which I mailed it. I assume Alan is closer than his office by 20-30 miles. Rob, why don't you just ask Alan to show up unannounced any time in the next couple of weeks at the address on the label, and he can check to see if the guy I mentioned and I are both at the address? As your dear and true friend, certainly Alan can help you out confirming what an accurate, stand-up guy you are.

Boy, that sounds like a real solid plan to expose all of my BS. Doesn't it, buddy? All my BS right out the window. I'll be so discredited, how could I show my face on the internet again?

I've gotta warn you, though. I jog a couple of miles at 8 AM each day, then head to Panera down the road for oatmeal and a coffee. So if he checks on me at 8 AM or thereabouts, he may not catch both of us there.

Amazing, huh? That I can afford Panera, I mean. Their oatmeal is pretty pricey.

P.S. I think I have a copy of most of the package stuff lying around here somewhere. Alan could kill two birds with one stone (while saving gas money), and check out the material while confirming that I'm not here. Boy, that sounds like investigative journalism at its most decisive. Now one more time: you can take a photo of your byline on any copyrighted article and post it under fair use. Stop skirting the issue.

Also I will have your documents God forbid anything happens to you. Since that was your concern and since you are alive and well there is no need for me to do anything per your second point above.

I didn't tell him to look for those things, I asked him to tell me what he saw. He saw what you wanted me to see. I think it's a closed case.

Again, why won't you just take photos of your byline with article titles which is okay to do under fair use of the copyright law and post it here? You could do that in five minutes, which is less time than it would take me just to walk out of my place and get in my car and turn the ignition key. It would take me another half hour or so to drive to Tony's office. Imagine how much more you could do in less time?

I cannot defend Rob Singer. Heaven knows I've said it over and over again. I also told you several times in private messages that you should ignore Rob. I've also posted on this forum that everyone should ignore Rob. Frankly, I've learned to ignore Rob when he libels me.

So, for the record:

Rob Singer: My business partner Tony, who owns Axis Media, and is the tenant and the only one with the key to the office where the package was sent, has looked in the package. He has found copies of numerous articles authored by Robert Dietz. He has also found print outs of ads and displays that show Robert Dietz has won or placed in various gaming tournaments. I asked Tony if he found any copies of IDs such as a driver license or passport and he says he did not.

Redietz: as I have written before, Rob Singer will now claim that there is no link between the articles and that you are in fact Robert Dietz. I know this is going to happen. Now, do you want to continue this fight with Rob or do you just want to ignore him as I've been suggesting you do?

I'm really sorry kewlj but I've made changes in my life. And soon I am moving OUT of Southern California and then I will rarely if ever go to the office again. I'm retiring, guys. I'm already collecting my pension and starting October 11th my Social Security starts.

I've already told my clients that after December I will no longer be doing a weekly Best Buys TV Show. I will continue to do Infomercials and from time to time I will do a Best Buys Special. We are thinking about doing a Best Buys Special for Presidents Day Sales and then another for Mothers Day Sales and then another for Fathers Day and graduations. But the weekly grind is ending for me. It's time to be "semi retired."

Tony (who is actually about 8 years my senior) is also retiring (he's in his 70s as you can figure) which is why he isn't in the office so much anymore.

Kewlj, Tony has told me what's in the package and so far, redietz has not disputed what Tony told me. What are you expecting for me to see in the package that will change things? Please tell me. Use red font if you must.

edited to add: I'm not going to ask Tony to rewrap the package (redietz would you care to describe the intricate wrapping and over-wrapping you used?) and then take it a mile and a half away to the post office to mail to me. Everything we do is by email, or by phone. Even with the TV stations there is no more snail mail. Even contracts are "signed" via email. Payments are made electronically -- no one sends paper checks anymore, and when they are sent that way, there is an outgoing mail slot in the lobby of the building. And the package won't fit in the mail slot.

If it's so important, kewlj, ask redietz to send the stuff to you. redietz says he has plenty of copies and he's obviously not worried about the copyright laws affecting photo copies but he is concerned about taking photos of his byline and names. Go figure.

And redietz, why don't you get Dan's address and mail him the package directly. This way kewlj will not accuse me of altering the contents of the package. Yeah. that's coming. Can't you tell?
