It cracks me up how the trolls all play follow the leader picking up on Mdawgs trolling. Take the above. First Dawg is quoting himself. Who does that rather than just say what they have to say.
But more importantly, this idea that my descriptions of blackjack card counting are bland. Blackjack in general is about the most mundane form of gambling in a casino. Maybe second to roulette if you are betting Red/Black. And card counting doesn't change that. All card counting does is change the amounts you have bet (more in advantageous situation). STILL VERY mundane. If you are looking for excitement, you have come to the wrong place. And if you are making up a fantasy story as Mdawg is, you are writing about the wrong game.
About the most exciting thing that happens to a card counter is a hand resulting in 3-4 splits that turns into several double downs, where you have your MAX bet times maybe 5 or 6 on the felt as you watch the dealer pull 5 small cards, in a high count (more high cards remain) to draw a 20 or 21. THAT is it. That is about the most excitement you can have. But you know what, when you have played millions of rounds as I have, even that is routine. I mean if you feel you need to vent about something like that, you can do so on a forum (zenking), but all it does is identify you if any casino personnel that were involved happens to be reading.
Other than that, the only unusual occurrences involved with card counting are long runs of bad variance. Weeks and months. And I have written about them. I have had and written about 5 different really long downswings consisting of 4 month or more and 10's of thousands of dollars, while playing almost everyday. And the final unusual thing about card counting is the backoffs of which I have had more than 70. Again, you can vent and write about them, and I have but in the end you are doing yourself no favor. If anyone involved happens to be reading you are confirming and identifying yourself.
So again, if you are looking to read some exciting gambling stories, you aren't going to find it with card counting. Every single hand that plays out.....seen that, done that a thousand times. It is only someone making up some great adventure, like our Dawg that has these fantastical stories about spreading 1-100, or sitting playing double deck for 10 straight hours winning 60K. Things that just aren't real because.....dare I say it...that isn't the way Las vegas or the casino industry works.
