I was finishing up law school and my business career was taking off and I got tired of the stress of the ups and downs. These days the ups and downs are just on the occasional session, versus back then I'd have ups and downs that might extend into the next day or two.

Ironically, I have more money now than I ever did and I play smaller.

Look, nobody is going to definitively prove that MDawg didn't do what he's claimed. That's almost irrelevant. What matters is what he does going forward, thus the question to coach, "So if Mdawg shows up a year from now and says that going forward from this post, he won the next 20 or 28 out of 30 times or something, would you believe that?" And then, six months later, if MDawg were to say that he won another 15 consecutive or 19 out of 20, "Coach, would you buy that?"

That puts coach in the position of answering yes or no. If he says yes, well, there aren't very many reasons for anybody to say yes unless they thought MDawg had super powers. If he says no, then everybody can go home.

This whole thing is nonsensical. The markers are nothing. I usually had more cash on me than MDawg's shown, and sometimes much more. With the possible exception of the Cosmo wraparound, I've had some comparable suites. I did have a suite in the old towers at Caesars that had a huge round Dean Martin as Matt Helm bed and mirrors everywhere, including the ceiling, that was as cool as the wraparound.

And I was nobody.

I mean, the Dawg is making maroons out of people.

At WOV today I made a post to the effect of that when DarkOz made his thread about advantage play, everyone excoriated him and told him to button it up. Suspended him over it too.

And when I post about winning at what is perceived at non-advantage play, I get the same exact reaction.

So, what is left to talk about at that forum? EvenBob's What did you Eat Today thread? Should I go over to his thread and post a pic of some ribs? :eek:

I enjoy your trip reports! I used to enjoy AoS's trip reports and pictures. (Your not AoS are you?) I enjoy almost all trip reports and reading about other players gambling experiences and even non-gambling Las Vegas experiences (I love Vegas).

The problem I and I think some other people, AP's and others, that are bases in mathematics have, is when you start saying, or indicating that your play is somehow a longterm winner, without explaining what you are doing backed by math that makes that so. :confused: And before you claim that you didn't do that, stating that you have won 40 or 80 or whatever the number is....trips in a row, IS CLAIMING THAT.

You only have belly on WoV too. Everyone else thinks you are lying about the constant winning. I'm surprised that Shack has let you go on this long. Maybe he needs the views, I don't know. There was a member there that took a voluntary nuke because Shack asked him to move on. He was so polite that they couldn't get him for insults. His username was gr8player. He was just like you, a bac player, and he never lost. He varied the bets like you do and always won the big bets. At least that was his story. But Shack did get around to asking the guy to move on.

The thing about all of you "winning on negative expectation" guys that have hit the gambling forums over the years is that none of you ever resorted to playing the game fulltime. With such easy money Hey, this is Vegas, baby!! I would be on it like white on rice. But you all have your excuses why you don't.

But don't get to complacent. They have martingaled you pretty heavy on WoV. Last suspension was for 2 months. You are in permanent nuke territory.

No he was prohibited from making any thread discussing AP play and suspended for a period of time to "think about it." I mean come on, are they going to admit that DarkOz was suspended for revealing secrets? any more than are they going to admit that MDawg was suspended for being too intense for general public airplay?
No! so they had to come up with some other reasons that fit more in line with their general suspension policies. DarkOz's obviously still very sore about it, and also probably Cabin Fevered out over that he can't do whatever he does to make a living, so he is upset that MDawg's thread lives on while his was cut short.


Over the past year there were more than a few sessions I won by the skin of my teeth - (down $8000., $13000., I recall one where I dipped as low as down thirty some thousand) - but I made it back. I just wait for a good shoe and then press. I dunno, when I am in such shoes I've actually heard pit bosses joke with me about how I am "saving the house money" meaning that in such shoes they'd expect me to empty the tray but instead I just play to get back to even and then stop. So it's not always fun and games but I am a very disciplined gambler and I have won consistently.

Also there is a point during my trips when the discipline tends to wear down and the casino has a higher chance of getting me. For example the month long trip I had I was up a certain amount at the two week mark, and then up even more, and then on the last night I dumped half of what I had won to end up no more ahead at a month than I was at two weeks. So, two weeks seems to be about right - enough time so that I am unhurried and don't even play each day, and also enough time so that I can just get up and quit while ahead anytime I choose with plenty of more days when I may play as I wish.

In short - my personal experience has been that if I have to win, it becomes harder. When I don't care and may play at my leisure, I win more easily. Consequently, I just gamble for fun and not for a living. These days especially, I make a lot more at my real occupation and businesses than I do at gambling.

To you, it may not seem scientific, but for me, it works. ;)

The house edge - irrelevant. I don't flat bet and I don't believe I have ever had a session where I have won or lost the theoretical. I don't see any big Baccarat players or any high rollers period at any table game who win or lose the theoretical. When these guys lose, they tend to lose all they have. The house could remove the edge from Baccarat and still high rollers would most of the time walk with nothing after having lost it all. What beats most gamblers is that they just can't get up from the table - they keep playing until they have lost it all. Whether you are playing BJ counting cards or not counting cards still the variance will result in highs and lows, and if you can't get up when ahead you will lose.

There is no way to win other than quitting while ahead.

I mean if you don't end the session ahead, how may you win?

This has been discussed here at length.

Folks like the ditz refuse to acknowledge that sessions exist, and maintain that quitting can only be defined as never playing again.

that's the one where I lost at Cosmo then walked all the way to T.I. and won it back. This is why the Cosmo win statement for 2019 was only 11,150 and the win for T.I. was 48,350 - the win at T.I. was a grudge win to make up for the Cosmo loss, then after I won and paid Cosmo back I didn't really care about the loss at Cosmo and just resumed play at what I considered to be ground zero. The loss at Cosmo was in one session, and the wins at T.I. were over two sessions as I recall. The first night I won what I needed to cover the Cosmo loss, then when I went back I won a gang more.

The WOV forum software is terrible. Just finding something is hard.

There is another session where I lost, the one I refer to in the post above - where I dumped half my winnings the last night. If I could just find it at WOV, it is not easy to search for anything there you practically have to know exactly where the post is already in order to even find it.

in that post I referenced the last night I played at the last casino of that trip – where I ended up dumping a ton, about 36K such that if I had not I would have won $60K that trip, but ended up winning only $24K. This was the month long Vegas trip.

This is part of why I gave up on the “indefinite length” Vegas trips. Two weeks seems to be about the sweet spot.

That is only part of it coach belly and you know it. The second part is longterm winnings. You cannot be a longterm winner player a negative expectation game playing hunches. And unless he wants to reveal something he hasn't yet revealed, that is all MDawg has told us. he bets more at certain times. BUT it is not certain times that he would be at an advantage as say card counters do. THAT makes sense. It is just certain times that he has a hunch.

This kind of preposterous voodoo gambling ideas aren't new to this century (2000's) They aren't even new to last century (1900's) or the century before that. It's just goofiness. It is no different than someone telling you to wait until 5 reds in a row have come out on Roulette and then start betting black. IT's JUST VOODOO! And it is what the casinos are counting on. ;)

But the real question isn't even about the mathematics of what MDawg claims. The real question is why coach belly gets involved and supports these claims? I am pretty sure he doesn't believe the things he says and supports. That is just his odd agenda or purpose on these forums. A form of Trolling and that is what so much of this forum comes down to. Bitter people trolling. :(
