Let me explain to you what you are missing here Dawg. You won't accept it but it is 100% true. When Axelwolf or any AP says they don't believe you, or their first response it "it must be fake", it isn't some shotgun emotional response. It is based on not one picture, nor one single thing said. It goes back to something I have said probably a hundred times on this forum, "it just doesn't take much to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking".

Someone says something that just rings false to an AP and we say "hum". The second time a double "hum". A couple more times, and there is no doubt in our mind. Pictures are no more meaningful that words. The picture worth a thousand words doesn't work here. All pictures do is distract for the most part.

Singer was just sort of stupid and desperate. He posted such stupid pictures trying to "prove" untrue things, it just completely backfired and brought him down. You, Mdawg are smarter with the pictures. You use them to "wow" people into a false sense of credibility. People see pictures of stacks of cash and chips and say "wow" what he claims must be true. Most APs and real players don't see or think that. Most of us look at pictures of cash and chips and watches and say, that in no way proves he won what he claimed. It proves only that he has or at least has access to money and no one was even disputing that.

Personally, I think you are an at least somewhat wealthy guy who gambles, so you have access to money and chips. It is the entirety of everything you SAY that raises red flag after red flag. Pictures can't and don't change that. All you are doing, all you have ever done is fool some non AP types with those pictures, another one that you happened to post today. And that goes for not just the pictures of cash and chips, but the suites and Forumla1 seats, the food, the whole shabam. It doesn't distract AP's like you think it does.

I suppose the purest definition of an AP is someone who only plays when he is at an advantage. Not a single round or spin, when not at an advantage. But that is not my definition. That would actually eliminate all card counters except those that only wong into games at an advantage, because most of us play rounds, including the first that are neutral or at a disadvantage. It is the overall play or session that become advantageous.

Additionally, while 99.something of what I do is at an advantage, I have engaged in sports betting for a decade. And until this year, every year was at a disadvantage, even though I had 1 or 2 small winning years among them. So by my purest definition some might disqualify me.

My late partner was even worse. When I met him he was a losing video poker player. he didn't play that often, a couple times a year but he was a typical losing player. Although I put him to work handing our machine advantage play, I am quite sure some of that former mentality stuck around. I never said anything, but some of our results weren't up to real expectation. Did he play a little too long after reaching what we needed to hit to reach our goals for future mailers? Probably. So I don't know that he was really an AP.

What about a player that does some things at an advantage and some not. I see guys like this at casinos all the time. What if the totality makes them a small winner? does that qualify as advantage player? I don't know. :confused: Same scenario, except instead of a small overall winner they break even (not playing for a living). They have flipped the advantage from the house to break even. Does that qualify as advantage player? I don't know.

I'd bet a lot of watch experts can not tell the difference of a first rate fake vs the real deal off a phone pic snapped several feet away and not focusing totally on the watch.

On at least a couple of the occasions we walked through the casino and I've asked the crew members I know to tell the Wiz how I'm doing. Yes true that particular crew knows only what happened on their shift the day before but I don't time my Wiz visits to coincide with the day after big wins, they are always set by his availability to go to the casino to meet me for lunch or whatever, not my availability.

Precious metal watches are almost never faked, because the enormous cost of making the case and band with precious metal far outweighs what anyone would be willing to pay for a fake. You can't fake gold or platinum because of its density, and even a cursory examination reveals whether a given watch is made out of a precious metal.

On a genuine Swiss watch, e.g. with a mechanical ETA movement watch, the second hand seems to move continuously, but on fakes with a quartz movement it tics every second.

If there are any exceptions to this I am unaware of it; I own some Swiss watches, they're fancy accessories; women wear jewelry, men wear watches (at least we older guys do: gen Z prefers phones)

Also, the better fakes have Japanese mechanical movement in them.

But still, these watch experts online you post a picture of a watch and within thirty minutes there are people coming along saying "fake" or "genuine" and posting their reasons. True, the pics need to be decent not fuzzy, but nowadays smart phones take very good close up pics actually.

Wolf, again, those are stainless Rolexes. They do have some decent fakes of those, but no one is faking precious metal watches.

Also if you watch your video 2:06 that fake Rolex costs 1000 pounds (about $1300.) and you'd really need to be an idiot to pay that much for a fake instead of just paying say a grand for a decent nice genuine Swiss watch (not a Rolex). I mean my Apple Watch is made of titanium and costs about a grand with its band.

And again, stainless steel. Almost every watch I've posted a pic or video of is a precious metal model, 18K gold or platinum.

Boy this is the thought process of a "gambler" not an advantage player or winning player used to winning. I don't know of any table game AP that thinks like this. I really don't. APs and winning players remove that emotion from the equation. If you can't or don't, you are not going to make it as an AP.

Each hand is worth what the expected value is worth nothing more. Even a hand at max bet with a split and a couple of doubles. There really is nothing to get too excited about unless you are planning on quitting forever after that hand. If you are going to keep playing, to the next hand, or even the next session, or next day, that hand is worth only the expected value.

The last time my emotions rose and fell on a single hand like this was probably my first year or two when I was playing underfunded. If you are properly funded, there just is nothing to get emotional about. It is a hand or round worth several dollars in EV...nothing more.

Trolling aside, if I knew nothing of Mdawg and his claims and posts and this was the first thing I had ever read, it defines him as a gambler, not an AP or winning player to me.

I’ve stayed in the sky suites at aria for 6 weeks at a time completely comped alternating between myself and my partner. I’ve done this multiple times over the years showing the casino what it needed to comp me. I can do this at will and I’m sure Axel can as well. I also don’t know or care about Rolex’s. I couldn’t tell the difference if my life depended on it. But there are very few rooms if any in Vegas that if I wanted to stay in comped I couldn’t get. High rolling cost nothing for me. I used to get flown to Borgata on their plane back when Boyd owned it. I’ve been helicoptered from regional casinos to other casinos when I was running huge loss rebate plays. Nothing impresses me about the casino comps. It’s all free to to the ones that know how to manipulate the system

APs don’t care about the feeling of gambling or being zoned out. At least not successful ones. It’s all about how to get the money period. If I hear guys talking about the feeling they get gambling or that they have intense highs or lows is a red flag.

I am not even arguing that your watches aren't real but I seriously doubt good fakes are that noticeably different. Gold plating costs nothing. I assume you can gold plate the various parts of a watch but it'd wear off on the wrist. Regardless it is real gold. The weight and density don't matter on your wrist or in a photo.

He said even most watch dealers could not spot a GOOD fake with the naked eye. It has to be examined microscopically, as well as possibly opened up. Even a $200 fake watch can be good. If a good $800 counterfeit Rolex, takes an expert to examine microscopically, it makes you wonder what is the point? According to MDAWG, it is the way it makes you feel.

In theory, if you have a high quality fake and are sitting at a Casino table, even an expert couldn't tell you affirmatively if it is real or not.

There are at least 2 YouTubers that show off their expensive watches online ($100k+). There was a podcast that confirmed, when they go out, they replace it with an identical fake and leave the real one at home in the safe.

I believe this is the last generation that watches will appreciate in value. Why? Mostly everyone that wears a nice watch is over 40 years old. Some social media kids with money wear nice watches, but for the most part you don't see the 18-40 year old crowd sporting nice watches. At least not on the scale it was 20+ years ago.

Try explaining the value of a nice watch to an 18 year old. They will say: "My phone tells time, why do I need to spend thousands on something that no longer carries a practical purpose?"

It is the same thing with counterfeit sneakers. People are crazy for these shoes costing 5 figures, when the counterfeits can't usually be spotted with the naked eye.

If I was a watch collector/investor, I surely wouldn't hold a significant percentage of my net worth in watches.

I only read a few of these threads but you get a feeling for how serious these watch guys get about this stuff. They keep pushing the envelope on accuracy from what I gather. There is a lot of serious nerdery going on there.

How much solid gold or solid platinum have you experienced in your life? I'd venture to say, very little if you can't tell the difference between plated and solid visually on a watch. We're not talking about a chain. Over that much surface area, that many intricacies in the bezel, case, lugs, band, clasp, the plating won't look the same at all.

You're also talking about the difference between an iconic extremely well know design on a watch, where every aspect is second nature to someone who knows the watch. For example, the Rolex Day Date, which is available in only solid gold or platinum. Show me a fake one of those that doesn't look like garbage.

You really have to be a loser poseur to try to wear a fake gold watch. (I imagine the fake Rolex AxelWolf has in a drawer is a fake gold one. :eek:)

How much solid gold or solid platinum have you experienced in your life? I'd venture to say, very little if you can't tell the difference between plated and solid visually on a watch. We're not talking about a chain. Over that much surface area, that many intricacies in the bezel, case, lugs, band, clasp, the plating won't look the same at all.

My gold collection is measured in lbs. I've actually been wanting to buy a larger bar of it as the heft is fun. The thing is as an investment if you ever want to offload osmething like that. ugh. And I couldn't buy it with cash.

Anyway, it might be that the process of the gold plating removes details if the plating is very thick. It is also not that easy to get it uniform. However ... a standard gold plated bar is not going to look any different from a distance. Now if you have the full thing up close you might be able to figure out where the electrodes or whatever were applied .. and the plating could only flatten out the finer details. Those watches don't seem to have all that many intricacies though but whatever.

I could go back and point out how you just a minute ago said anyone "who knows" can tell at a distance. That is clearly wrong so now you're like.. the plating looks fucked up on the finer details. lol. cough cough. okey dokey smokey.

Gold bars? C'mon now you're sounding even more out there if you're trying to compare a highly polished uncirculated bar to a gold plated bar, versus a solid gold versus plated watch. Just someday if you do ever end up owning a solid precious metal watch like a 18K or platinum Rolex Day Date, and then someday see its fake counterpart, you will laugh at how dissimilar they look. It's perhaps only because you don't know what the real precious metal one should look like that you think the fake plated watch would look the same.

And consider too that my precious metal watches have been worn, some of them for years, so they would look ridiculous by now if they were plated.

to show that it is reference solid gold, and as a reference to show that the digital scale was accurate because the weight for the Eagle came up correctly as expected , and then one by one weighed some of my watches. All watches were of the appropriate weight to indicate solid precious metal, all 18K gold or 950 platinum.

Slot Lady and her Significant other Victor, who have the YouTube channel, "All Casino Action" - just about the only thing they do right is tell the dealer, "I will tip you at the end of our session." This way the dealer doesn't expect a tip after 2 wins in a row.

One thing that irritates me that dealers say if a player lost is, "that is their shuffle" (referring to the dealer prior that shuffled the cards). Then after their shuffle ,saying, "Ok, now this one is mine" lol. If the player loses again, they reach deeper into their "bag of sayings", and find, "Cant win em' all". Rinse and repeat.

Not sure why anyone tips for being inconvenienced waiting and having to submit to paperwork in order to get your money. That's the definition of retarded....RIP

True AP's don't tip on handpays just because they won a significant or even larger amount---ever. Foolishly handing over a portion of your win to casino employees simply because you claim to "feel sorry" for the small wage they earn is as pathetic excuse as there is. And there is no such thing as tipping because you're known and are a regular player at a casino. That's even worse. Not only does it cut into your expected value--it shows weakness and a low intimidation tolerance. Not the best traits for claiming to be an AP/professional gambler.

The only "tip" I've left in the last 23-3/4 years on jackpot handpays--and there's been a shit ton--was when I was dealt the $1.5m hand. I gave $20k to the person who set up the play as close to my request as possible, and who also alerted me to the fact that they could change the game from 5-play to 10-play if I wanted that after losing $100k. To me, THOSE are the only type of valid reasons for sharing a portion of a big win with any employee.

As far as tipping, there is no such thing as "true AP's" doing it a certain way.

I wouldnt expect an AP to tip. Most don't do it because they CAN'T AFFORD to do it. Which is understandable.

Real AP's have high enough of an hourly rate where it wouldn't kill you.

If the choose to bless someone else that is up to them.

It is completely a case by case basis. For me, I tip due to an enjoyable service the dealer provided. Definitely not because I am "weak".

There are good cases to be made for and against casino tipping.

I find both to be true as to my slot play.

If by "zone out" you mean forget your self, your daily troubles, and surrender to the game ... yes, to a point: it can be quite escapist.

Losing a $100 an hour play because you wouldn't tip a few bucks is cutting your nose off to spite your face.

3) Why would I blow a 10K bundle of hundreds on a watch when my $50 Timex keeps perfect time and I don't have something on my wrist that makes me a target for a robbery? When I carry large sums of money in and out of casinos I don't want shit hanging on me that makes me look rich.

Now here's my opinion on tipping for drinks at a red light green light bar. Once you implement that practice in your establishment you are now telling me that I am owed a drink when I get a green light. Therefore I am no longer making a request and owe no one anything as you are just fulfilling an obligation of the establishment.

For the record I don't drink anything in public unless it's a bottled water. But if I was a bar patron that is how I would respond. Tell me how that is wrong.

They hold us hostage in strip casinos when it comes to getting something, anything, to drink, at least as of the last time I visited years ago.

No serve yourself drink stations: I had to order water, whatever, from a CW when and if I saw one.

Why aren't there water fountains as in most other buildings open to the public?

It just comes down to relative experience. You and Wolf know nothing about timepieces. You also aren't familiar with suites in Vegas. And apparently you're saying that you'd be fooled by a gold plated bar unless you examined it carefully.

The value of the timepieces I have acquired have gone up over time far more than gold, so if you'd spent your money on a few vintage Daytonas (assuming you weren't fooled into buying fakes, which it sounds like you are easily fooled), you'd have MDawg level money now instead of just a tiny increase in gold.

One thing is true - you have to go out and about to enjoy wearing watches. And there are few safer places to wear them than inside a Vegas casino.


I will tell you again - if you'd bought the correct timepieces as investments, all readily available, instead of gold, you'd have far far more today. For example a Daytona bought in the 1980s for $1000. could be worth as much $150,000. today. One bought in the 2000s for $10,000. could be worth as much as $150,000. today too.

And then there are some Daytonas, that have gone into the millions in value.

I've invested in many Daytonas, and similar investment pieces. For example that watch I have worth $250,000. today I paid about fifty grand for. I have many watches like that that have gone up 5X in value.

It's not just for show. Timepieces are solid investments if purchased selectively and at the right time and price.

You could even go into Rolex today (if you have the right connections) and get a watch at full retail that you could sell immediately for up to 50% more.


I have a lot of gold and platinum bullion too, but no way it's gone up as much as my watches and artwork.

Dude you're an idiot if you think gold plating looks different at a distance. If it is scratched but otherwise it looks like gold because it is gold. That's why there are machines to test. Otherwise they have to damage the item to pierce the plating.

You're insisting that YOU can't recognize the difference.

To the TRAINED eye:
pure gold has a more rich yellow color. Gold plated items might have a different shade, often a bit paler or slightly different in hue. Also, solid gold tends to have a more uniform shine and luster compared to plated items, which could fade or appear dull in certain areas.

Especially when you're talking about something like a watch, especially one that has been owned and worn for a while (like mine), plated would look pretty bad compared to solid.


In the same way that a trained eye may tell by just looking the composition of the gold, for example 14K, 18K, and what sort of alloys might be in there, or the difference between platinum and 18K white gold, so the trained eye may detect plated, especially on something like a watch.


Yes, to be certain you'd test, but doesn't mean that visually those bogus gold tone fake watches wouldn't give themselves right away.

I would argue you aren’t “owed” a drink, but are eligible for one. Even before the system was put into place most bartenders wouldn’t continue to comp drinks if you were slow playing and not tipping. I don’t see anything that changed in regards to tipping the bartenders while playing VP, I still believe in it and the amount varies based on service.

And in my experience with the light system even playing .25 VP the tickets come out faster than I can keep up. And I can drink quickly.��
