To be honestly fair, Mwalz was skating on VERY thin ice even before that quote. He was throwing out a LOT of insults. I can see why that "Innocent," quote got him suspended. It was a backhanded compliment implying that Mdawg is a narcissistic. It was a passive aggressive insult to Mdawg disguised as a compliment, something like what happened when a Dad insulted a Mom who was helping her child pick up eggs on an Easter egg hunt, in this particular Easter Egg Hunt, Parents were definitely NOT supposed to be helping their children pick up eggs. He said something sarcastically like,"Wow, Mommy is sure good at Easter egg Hunting". Yes in theory the Grand Martingale works. That would be a player with unlimited bankroll and a casino that has no betting limits. Neither of which occurs in the real world. In the absense of these two conditions, Grand Margindale changes nothing except total amounts being bet on negative expectation (-EV) outcome, which still equals a negative expectation outcome. This isn't anything new. It has been proven over and over again, for hundreds of years. Just people like you come along and think you are re-inventing the wheel.
For an easy explanation just look to a simple $10 wager martingaled. After 10 losses, the player is betting over $10,000. Betting $10,000 to win $10 for the series. And after the player loses that $10,000 wager it will take 1000 series of winning $10 just to get back to EVEN. And for you people that don't actually gamble and are just talking on an internet forum, those 10, 11, or more losses in a row, do happen and more than you realize.
That you even would type the words "grand Martingale" and think it is a serious discussion, eliminates you from being taken seriously any further.
And not to insult you but you have posted that you can't even get together a $2000 bankroll. We are supposed to beleive that a guy who can't put together a measley $2000 bankroll has all the answers. Everything overlooked by expert mathematicians for centuries. This is fantasy stuff.

I 100 percent believe you. Lots of People have Problems with Autocorrect/Spell Checker putting something a similar word/phrase and it changing what they really wanted to say. For instance, RS on WOV originally meant something like, "Lucky you," an innocent thing. His Autocorrect.... Put "Fuck you," and RS soon said that his Autocorrect put that when he REALLY wanted to say "Lucky you." Beachbumbabs said she ALMOST gave him his first ever Suspension but something told her to not do it since RS doesn't ever curse and she was glad she hadn't given him the Suspension and had held off on it.Quote:

Yesterday at WoV, Maddog posted that his most recent LV trip had ended. Of course another 2 week trip, up 150k, comped suites AND he won a large undisclosed amount in a drawing...because that is the way Las Vegas works. :rolleyes: I decided not to comment on that (until now) as there is just no sense. BUT, I cannot allow this post today to stand without comment, as there are several references to blackjack, double deck, no less, and card counting, that are just pure fantasy.
Maddog: I went back to playing more DD Blackjack at some points during the trip, and I definitely varied the bet quite a bit.
What was crazy was during one session a pit boss called out "All in!" on a certain hand which actually I was reaching for the chips at the same moment the pit boss said that, but this particularly dealer was dealing to me so fast (one on one, private table) that I didn't have time to place the table max chips down. Sure enough, Blackjack!
It was at an obvious moment when the count was high, among other things.
I actually took it easier on Blackjack than usual, varying my bet only, say...with a 20X or so spread, but I got most of the biguns.
Ok, so he talks of high counts, so he is card counting and spreading 1-20 on a double deck game, a private table double deck game at one of the sweatiest casinos in Vegas (Cosmo), that uses top technology to spot and stop card counters. This is just pure bullshit, starting with the 1-20 spread at double deck.
Next, the pitboss called "all in", meaning he knew Mdog would be betting large before he even bet. What does that tell you? If the "story" were true, it tells you the pit boss was counting along and knew the count was high. The pit boss identifies a card counter at high stakes and allows it. Again, this is nonsense. It is bullshit. This is not the way Las Vegas works.
And third, a card counter does not win MOST of his biggest bets. That is just a statement by someone that has absolutely no idea how card counting really works. Even at a strong positive count, the card counter is only playing at 2-3% advantage at best. Winning most of these counts is approaching 18 y.o. in row nonsense. Of course this player did tell us he once won 60 hands in a row playing blackjack so....
I have come to terms that this guy is writing pure fantasy, as these guys do, for whatever reason they do, needing attention or what not, but for Michael Shackleford, the so called Wizard of Vegas, to allow such a misrepresentative of how Las Vegas Works, just pure make believe is way beyond sad. It is sickening. What the fuck Shackleford! This is bullshit. Just the same as if you allowed someone to claim they win by Martingaling, which isn't so different than this bullshit. Shame on you Mr Las Vegas "wizard".
On a positive note for Maddog: I don't see any accounts of prostitutes arrested for drugging him and stealing from him this trip. Congrats on that.

Most AP's and real players make more than me. I am not jealous of a single one. And here is a little news flash for you. There are AP's that I suspect, don't know for sure, but my gut from everything I know, tells me are at least embellishing monetary amounts. In regards to Shackleford, "can't stand" or hate is not accurate at all. Freddy and others HATE Shackleford.
For me, Shackleford is one of those people I am in awe of their mathematical abilities. I think his story is a great story. Left working for the social security administration, a nice safe job and life, to pursue his passion. He did get very lucky in that LCB overpaid for his websites, but good for him. A great story and I am happy for him.
What I don't like is how he sells out. I didn't like when he went to work (or did consulting work) for the Venetian. When a math guy goes to work for the casino industry that is fine. But when it is one of us, AP's, players that play against and fight the battle with the industry, I don't like it. I just don't. A lot of big name guys have done so throughout time, including Stanford Wong and Lawrence Revere, but I just don't like it. I think I have made that clear over the years.
But this thing with Mdog, is a whole new level. Shackleford has been paid off by Mdog to enable these bullshit claims, right down to a NDA preventing him from saying what he thinks as an expert in the field. Even worse is that these claims occur on a forum bearing Shackleford name and likeness. These people like Mdog (and you, Rob) always need an enabler. Shackleford is that enabler for Mdog. And because he was paid off. THAT is the extent of my dislike of Shackleford.
What you're never going to realize that others with meaningful lives do, is that there a TON of gambling and BJ experts who read MDawg's reports and see his interesting pictures, who simply just let it go, without getting all that acid churning around in their stomachs--especially the ones with weakened, diseased hearts like you have. What would be great would be a dual-guest format for Gambling Fraud Alert featuring kewlJ and Rob Singer. That would be fun. Who wouldn't listen to that? Yes, Mdogs pictures are interesting. On that we agree. I think his story, had he told it honestly, of a higher end player, mini-whale type player, who plays, loses more than he wins and is comped accordingly, maybe even to the point of playing the comp game well, would have been interesting to everyone, AP, and recreational gamblers alike. For most of us it would have been a glimpse into a comp level we don't receive.

Now let's look at Redietz. Coach belly scouring the internet came upon an unpaid tax bill for last year of $500. It is a couple months past due. Do you see any other previous years of unpaid taxes over the last 20 years that redietz has owned the property, because that would a pattern make, not a single incident of being 2 months late.
What else did coach belly find in his search? Any bankruptcies?, evictions?, legal judgements for unpaid bills? Anything else that would constitute a pattern and be real red flags? I have no idea because I haven't looked. I have no need to. But you can be sure if any such thing was there, coach belly would have come up with it. I mean if you are going to search the local tax records. :confused: So nothing exposed there except redietz is currently a couple months late paying his taxes for whatever reason.
Now, what about me? What exactly has been exposed about me? Despite my best efforts to avoid being known, a few trolls on these forums have been able to find my name and where I live, not exposing but proving my claim.
Since these people have my name, what else did they find? No bankruptcies, judgements, evictions, and yes, records of 4 different properties owned in the last 13 years, which is my time in Vegas.
All the trolls and haters have been able to do with me, is come up with BS nonsense. "He works in a burger joint". "He is a male prostitute". "He has a sugardaddy". Absolutely none of it true or supported by one iota of evidence. Just ridiculous, even silly made up shit.
And while those handful of trolls and haters repeatedly claim I am not who I say, no real AP's or players with the exception of this seed value character have joined them. Real AP's and players in Las Vegas know one another and while I chose not to interact socially, they all know the top AP I worked with or for, last year. And if they don't know him, they know people on his team. So, it has been verified to them if they chose to inquire.
Additionally, many or most real AP's, especially table game playing APs, have access or a friend with access to one or several of the databases. So they have been able to look me up in the databases if they desired.
And that is why no real Vegas AP's have said a word and joined in trying to discredit me, even though some don't like me or don't like things about me.
So not only have I not been exposed, but those that have tried to have actually proven I am who I claim, at which all that is left is to lie and say things like my building is a slum hi-rise, when the price of the units ranging from half a million on up to several million is right there for everyone to see.

Let me give you and he a little history lesson. Have you heard of or remember the Mindplay technology used by surveillance to supposedly "end card counting". Mindplay came to be sometime right around when my career started 2004 and ceased to be in I believe 2007, when a lawsuit was won saying that casinos could not use Mindplay the way they were using it. (I will get back to Mindplay in a bit).
So after Mindplay, one of the big technological advances to "thwart" card counters was the use of computer software to evaluate a player. This is something I have dealt with and learned how to avoid most of my time playing Vegas. Here is how computerized software evaluations work:
Upon seeing a player spreading more than about 1-4 and/or especially at higher denomination play, a computerized evaluation is order, which occurs in surveillance. It requires the input of data for up to two cycles showing positive counts to where the player would raise his bets. The input of data can either be done through a keyboard or through voice input, either way requiring a human being and getting 2 cycles of data can take from as little as 15-20 minutes at a double deck game to 45 minutes to an hour at a 6 deck game. They need 2 complete cycles to be, I forget the number they are looking for, maybe 90% sure the player is moving money with the count.
So simply, the way to beat this evaluation is to play short sessions and not provide 2 complete cycles. I have done this for 13 years, exiting after my first max bet cycle, rather than retreating to play a second cycle starting at the small bet and showing spread again. They never get 2 cycles from me. AND because I play anonymously, they can't string together several "partial" evaluations. Well they could, but it would take some extra work. They couldn't just put this partial evaluation of Joe Smoe aside until the next time he shows his card and plays.
This technology was only implemented by the higher end casinos against higher end players, because it takes time and an extra person for the inputting of data. But Maddog, the way he is describing his play would be that top priority, a higher limit player, playing private table no less, claiming to use a 1-20 spread, known to the casino, so even a partial evaluation wouldn't save him. He would last about 20 minutes worth of play, 30 minutes if they wanted to be extra certain and that amount of play could even be broken up over 2 sessions. So what he is claiming he gets away with just cannot be! And especially at one of the higher end sweatier strip casinos.
Ok, now back to Mindplay. The Mindplay evaluations were automated. They didn't require an extra person inputting data, although at that time, they did require a special table and chips. But understand the ruling against Mindplay, ONLY pertained to what the casinos did once they had the information. They would immediately signal the dealer to shuffle away player advantage decks (preferential shuffling), which alters the odds and outcome of the game and is illegal. Think in terms of the non-card counter, recreational player, flat betting. All the good counts removed or shuffled on, yet the negative or bad counts all played out resulting in a much higher house advantage. THAT is why Mindplay was illegal. Not the tracking itself, but what they did with that information to alter the game.
So while Mindplay ceased to be, there could very well be now or in the future a very similar completely automated system to evaluate players, one that doesn't even require a special table and chips, as long as they only use that information to back off and bar players, not to alter the game. If that hasn't happened already, it will occur, and the first places that will utilize it, will be the larger strip casinos, especially the place Maddog plays at his private table. They will be first in line, if they don't already utilize something of this sort, which they probably do. THAT is why we stay away from the high-end strip casinos that race for the latest technology.
So whether that already exists or they are still using the software that requires a human input for evaluations, Maddog's claim just can't be at the location he claims. Got it? :cool:
Funny thing about this Maddog....at the beginning he refused to say if he was even playing with an advantage or not, as a matter of fact all but saying he was not. And now he has changed his story (something he has done several times now) to that he is playing with an advantage, card counting with his blackjack play, and that has actually worked against him, as he digs an even deeper hole, because he simply doesn't know how card counting and the casinos response to card counting works at the casinos he plays at and the level he plays.
It is just fantasy story and the more it evolves the deeper hole he digs. Sorry doggy, but that is the way it is. Your story/claims fail, and ship sinks because there are players that KNOW how things work, and those players are almost unanimous in that what you claim is not the way it works. So you are left with the clowns that just don't know how things work, as the only people that might believe your "stories". these are often the very same people that believe long disproven voodoo type gambling theories.
