Not that you deserve it Boz, but I will answer your charge. I have no more sexual interest in Wizard than you have of say, Rosie O'Donnell or Nancy Pelosi. You are a straight guy (I am assuming) and straight guys are attracted to females, so that would mean you desire Rosie and Nancy right? I mean come on, do you see how stupid and immature this shit is?

If I wanted back on WoV so bad that I would do anything as you and others are saying, I would have been back at WoV 4 years ago or anytime in between. I have always had that option. It involved something I am not willing to do. And so I am still not at WoV and may never be. I don't know.

And I am not all of the sudden a big fan of WoV. There are many things about that forum and the way it is run that I don't like. I dislike how it has moved away from what it once was....which is the WoV, I signed up for. Maybe if I get back there and a few more like me that want to steer discussion more towards gambling, Las Vegas, we can steer the forum back at least towards what it used to be. And then again, maybe I or we can't. I don't know. What I do know is this forum, is now only a troll forum. And that isn't a reference to Rob. It is everyone. All this forum is, is people trolling one another. "You suck dick", "your momma is fat".

I mean do you realize Dan Druff doesn't even participate here any more. He might pop in every few weeks and say something, but he isn't the regular poster that he used to be. My guess is he finds his own forum objectionable.

I think it comes down to personalities. Michael Shackleford really doesn't like confrontation and over-the-top controversy. I think he truly wants everybody to get along and enjoy the Forum, I don't think he wants to deal with all the b*******. Let's not forget, it's a business I'm fairly certain whatever controversy is going on won't get people to sign up and play at online casinos.

Dan doesn't make any money on this site, and Dan isn't opposed to controversy and confrontation, I rather say Dan enjoys a little controversy. I would have no problem with that. I don't hate Norm. As a matter of fact, I can say with great certainty, that I wouldn't be where I am today without Norm's BJ software. So how can I hate someone that has given me that? :)

My only problem with Norm was that he protected someone who he knew was intentionally misleading players. Does that sound familiar because calling out these guys is what I am always about.

You have to understand that forum owners have a different agenda. They are interesting in forum traffic. Some of them will say that isn't the case but it always is. Even on this site, Dan banned Rob for making racial slurs. 6 months later Dan allowed Rob back and specifically cited that traffic was down as the reason.

So Norm is a blackjack guy, a math guy, a numbers guy and he allowed a guy to run wild with his claims of super duper counts, achieving 5% advantages, which is impossible. So happens the guy was the leading poster on his forum by far. Why are these guys always the poster with the most volume of posts? So, I don't hold Norm responsible for the guy making impossible claims, just as I don't hold Dan responsible for Rob's claims. I do hold Norm responsible for protecting the guy and not allowing us to challenge these math defying claims.

And in the end, years later although it wasn't me and I was long gone, I was proven right. And the guy even admitted that as time went on and he got a larger sample size his claims came back down to earth, just as the math said. Then he made stupid excuses like he wasn't even talking about blackjack and disappeared completely.

So I was proven right. I have no need to rehash it with Norm and would be quite capable of existing with him.

Happened to me four times at WOV. Twice, I was in red ink and then I was taken out and restored as they thought better of it. You may search back for the details not worth getting into. Then once I was nuked in absentia for posting as a sock during a suspension, until they realized that it was not I, but another...who looked like me. And a fourth time I got the reverse treatment, was merely warned and then a couple of weeks later they all had a pow-wow and decided that I should be suspended.

What's funny though (otherwise just another ordinary day at WOV) is how DarkOz is musing about how he is special, somehow the only one who has been suspended then had the suspension lifted. Typical DarkOz.

I don't remember any suspensions being reversed but if you say it happened four times to you?

I do remember the nuking in absentia. There were claims you were a sock go back and you will see I kept out of that because I saw no evidence one way or another

At least the things that DarkOz is talking about is actually believable. He told me he rolls around in like a $400,000+ vehicle and I absolutely do believe that.

All kidding aside, at least DarkOz was man enough two go out of his way and fly all the way to Vegas and meet up with members, and even toss around some and pay $500 for everyone to have dinner, and he didn't even attend. He doesn't even make outrageous claims about having boatloads of cash assets and Investments like yourself. Meanwhile you come to Vegas all the time apparently and you haven't even taken the time to meet up with Michael Shackelford, but you claimed you really wanted to. Many of the things he has said, has actually been verified.

I don't read the MDawg thread very much. But what little I have read. I see alot of stuff backed up by seemingly legit pictures and what not. There seems to be alot of truth, regarding lifestyle and what not, mixed in with some unbelievable bullshit as far as results go.

I'll have to disagree with you on that.

If I disliked everyone for their politics, religion and how they view life or even what they say on the forums I would pretty much end up disliking everyone.

Bill might say some things that raise a few eyebrows, hell, I swear he even threw me under the bus the other day because of his politics. But overall in real life he's been a pretty solid friendly guy. All my interactions with him have been good and he's been trustworthy. I don't give a s*** about all the other stuff, especially people's political views.

If I happen to get into a discussion with somebody who has cockamamie beliefs of some kind I'll just tell him they're f****** stupid for believing that, but I can say it in a way(even with those exact words) to where they know I'm not being an asshole or confrontational, and that I had don't cool with them either way. And it's really too bad, because that game was absolutely one of the best new skill game inventions I had seen up until that point, the entire concept was genius, even down to the details of the game and all the different options. The player funded pool system they use could be applied to just about any gaming machine or perhaps even a regular table game bonus or something. I actually think it was ahead of its time. My biggest criticism is a fact that they kept leading with the advantage play angle I think it was even called something like Advantage Play 2047. The other problem was the fact that it was actually categorized as a high limit table game and not a slot, and that's how they were trying to Market it(I didn't quite get the theory regarding that aspect, I'm sure they had a forced reason behind it).

I honestly think had Ahigh got involved with someone reputable, we would have seen his in game installed at least a few locations. I always thought they would do well just outside of poker rooms. But I could never imagine more than a few of them in any casino. I'm almost wondering if the software could have been promoted to online casinos, yeah I know, it's not quite the same as playing a pinball machine, but the costs would have been significantly less. And let's be fair, no skill game has taken off like many people thought it was. Right now it just seems like they're novelty games with the huge rake. Do they have beer pong skill games?

On the Ahigh machine, I remember never understanding why he was so adamant that the machine wouldn’t have a TITO on it. He wanted it to have a dedicated attendant seeing it as a table game. While pitching it as an AP game. I can only imagine the rolling eyes he got when pitching it to any casino executive.

Mainly, I don't like the Electoral College system, even though there's a very outside chance that my party will benefit from it one day. I've really warmed up to The Constitution, as late, because I hypothesized a country where it was actually followed and it's a pretty good one.

Unlike present party and other assorted trolls here, I don't remember much about it because I tend not to pay attention or have any concern about matters that have nothing to do with me.

I guess the first thing is that I've met a number of people from the various forums and the next person I meet who would concern me in a straight fight will be the first.

I'm not going to get into a measuring contest, but when I was 12, I got jumped by three high school kids who beat the shit out of me. We're talking about bruised ribs, concussion, busted nose, both eyes black, lips all busted up and one of my cheeks swelled to the size of a grapefruit.

It was after that I said to myself, "I'm going to get to the point where I have enough ability that I at least have a chance if something like that ever happens again." So, I did.

And, you kind of play the probabilities. But, if I get my ass kicked, then I get my ass kicked. It would not be the first time I've won or lost a fight.

More than anything, the point is we can run around calling people, "Snowflakes," all the time and be big bad keyboard warriors, whatever. Let's see how a person responds when confronted with a legitimate challenge. Even if the person thought it was a bluff, you'll see that he did not so much as call it.

No president can win with just two states electorally so that's just not true.

However if it was true that the population of NY and Cali could outvote the other 48 states then it probably means they should get to decide the next election. Your argument would be if the mass of the population is all congregated in two states that's less valid than if a minority of people are spread out.

Right now, about .5% of the population elects the president. In 2016, it was basically 4 states, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Florida. Trump happened to win them all narrowly. In 2020, it looks like it will be Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida again, with Arizona and North Carolina joining. Michigan seems to fairly solidly heading back blue. So we may have 5 states this election that decide. And really it is 1 or 2 swing counties in each of these swings states that really decide, so it is even a smaller number of people that really elect the president. And because of that 40-45 states don't see either candidate from either party. All the campaigning is done in those 4-5 swing states. So in a sense the rest of us, our vote doesn't matter. Only a handful of voters in a few key states do.

Right now the republicans and republican supporters want no part of fixing the electoral college problem. But Texas is on the verge of turning blue. Probably not this election, but clearly demographics are changing and in the next election or two it will be blue. So just imagine, in 2024, or 2028, a democrat running for president wins California, New York, Texas, and maybe a swing state of Florida. All they need is another 4 or 5 states and they are over 270. And maybe the democrat wins California, New York, Texas by slim margins and loses 40 or 41 states by a larger margin, meaning they lose the popular vote and pretty significantly. All of the sudden, the republicans will be interested in amending or doing away with the electoral college system. :rolleyes:

If there was no electoral college, you would see republican candidates campaign in New York and California. You would see democratic candidates campaign in Utah, and Alabama. Even if they lose those states by a 2-1 margin, every vote they pick up counts just the same as every other vote.

If there was no electoral college, you would see republican candidates campaign in New York and California. You would see democratic candidates campaign in Utah, and Alabama. Even if they lose those states by a 2-1 margin, every vote they pick up counts just the same as every other vote.

My counter-argument essentially mirrors KewlJ's. The main thing that people say is that the EC is necessary, because otherwise, you would essentially have a few states pick the winner. As KewlJ has succinctly pointed out, a few states already do pick the winner.

Furthermore, the Electoral College results in tons of votes essentially being nullified by way of its very existence. For example, we don't really know how many Republicans in California fail to show up to the polls because they basically consider the POTUS vote a lost cause. We don't know how many Democrats in Montana simply do not turn out to vote on the basis of it not making a difference.

In other words, we don't even know what the true popular vote would be.

I can say that you wouldn't have a few major cities deciding; they would just be contributing. For instance, on a popular vote basis, if you took HRC's votes from Texas away, now she loses the popular vote.

For that reason, I would argue, in terms of having one's voice heard, straight popular vote would be an improvement. You would have to campaign and have operations everywhere (both/all parties) because you would need every vote that you could possibly get. There would be outreach to Alaska Democrats and Hawaii Republicans.

However, it seems that some states are going to circumvent the EC system if enough of them get on board, by agreeing to be bound to the popular vote. It also seems like they can do this because the Constitution lacks provisions for the exact mechanism by which states control their popular votes.

But, my biggest problem with the EC is Faithless Electors. Some states throw them out, but not all of them. Ron Paul, Faith Spotted Eagle, John Kasich, Bernie Sanders and three (!?) votes for Colin fucking Powell! Who the hell is Faith Spotted Eagle representative of in this, 'Representative Democracy?' She received ZERO popular votes; she literally represents nobody.

I also think that the Internet and other mechanisms of mass communication have rendered the argument that rural areas would be underrepresented slightly less valid than it once was, so I do admit that the EC, at one time, had a very important purpose. It was a little different when a town hall to a rural area would have required a three-day trip, by horse.

I think Darkoz' point kind of hurts the EC-no case a little bit because there hasn't been a first-term Republican President to win the popular vote since 1988. Although, it's hard to say what might have happened in 2000 had there been a point in turning out in all of the states.

That is the reason - no other, and not to protect minority rights either. I have read some revisionist theories as to why else we have an electoral college, but I don't really buy them.

The electors do not have to vote with the popular vote of even their own state, and sometimes do not, they are merely elected to vote - for us.

Back then, among a nation of illiterates and farmers this rationale of an ignorant populace might have been true, but no longer applies sufficiently to justify the Republic's Electoral College system.

As for choices, definitely two evils. I'm not confident in Biden. But I know how bad (evil) Trump is now that we got to experience him for four years. That is the only real reason for Biden. Maybe he will turn out worse, maybe better.

Dems definitely needed a stronger candidate and one did not come along.
