Rob Singer banned

Then aren't the odds just as likely to be Alan's sudden burst of profanity laden posts, or Mickeys posting from the far reaches of the US, or Kewl and his defense of AP's, or Blackhole and his continuous slamming of AP's or Biloxi Bill and his continues slamming of Alan? If he was unhinged, would not any of these postings put him over the edge?

Seems like you just want to keep a trolls name in the headlines here. Hmmmm, wonder why?

It is interesting to me that my reputation here is a "defender of AP's", since I am banned at two sites, a blackjack AP site and WoV, a site populated by a significant number of AP's, directly related to my calling out and challenging a member that was full of BS and misleading other members/players. :confused:

I mean sure on this site, it's basically a handful of anti-AP members constantly challenging, attacking and fighting with a few AP's....so yeah, I come down on the side of the few AP's here, who I know from other sites and am quite sure are legit.

But believe me, throughout the AP community, I am not an 'automatic' defender of AP's. There are many that I challenge or have other problems with, from the forementioned case of calling out a misleading fraud, to members that have different agenda's, to a guy that thinks an AP play was not paying back his casino markers. Aside from this site, where there are two distinct sides, AP and anti-AP, I try to be objective and I call it like I see it.

Oy... kewlj there isn't an anti AP side here. There have been challenges of what APs might claim. Get over it.

Count Room crazier things have been posted here besides your thought about the shooter. You did nothing wrong posting the thought. No one here can tell you you were wrong. For all we know you are 100% correct.

When the FBI and law enforcement come out with their final report then we'll know... maybe.

In the meantime shouldn't a forum like this be available for a free exchange of information?

If I recall Rob was banned because his criticisms stifled a free flow of information and discussion. And now what? The criticisms of Count Room can be called stifling a free flow of information and discussion.

My concern was heightened because Rob's banning was a scant 2-3 days before the shooting. That's what stood out for me.

Unlike the shooter, I've never even met Rob. The shooter met Rob once and had a desire to avoid human interaction overall. He simply could have become an online fan of Rob's thereafter, for all we know. As I said earlier, there were some lifestyle indicators which raised some flags for me.

I have no ulterior motive to bring Rob's name into the headlines. I have nothing to gain from it!

Just a note of caution: Rob believed he may have met the shooter 10-12 years ago. Rob told me they were both playing VP in a high limit room and both complained about the smoking. That led to a short conversation. Rob said he might have been recognized from his GT articles (his photo was published with the byline).

Even Rob says the meeting was insignificant.

More interesting, I think, is that there are plenty of people in LA including an LA City Councilman who knew the shooter well from the years he spent growing up in LA.

I wonder what if anything his doctor(s) will (or can) say about him?

How was his health?

The feds are certainly following up: they should have no HIPPA problems.

There were many who knew the shooter-even his brother was floored. And if I send $100 k to an account- I won't be looking for revenge. Maybe when you have family, friends, health-that's when you're really rich.

He checked in on the Sep 28th with "over 10 suitcases". He had 50 pounds of explosives in his car.

In your scenario, he sat there for a day teetering on the edge until Dan banned the troll on Sep 29th and that put him into action. Please.

It was preplanned, prestaged and premeditated.

But again it could have been Alan's disbelief of the AP claims of reading two blackjack tables at the same time that put him over the edge. Just as believable.

James: You have to understand something here. I did not plunge into this theory as a true believer thinking it HAD to be true. As Alan said earlier, the FBI has hit a brick wall where the shooter's motive is concerned and nothing, no matter how seemingly untenable, should be left off the table. All I did was make an attempt at what an insane man might be thinking by coming up with an insane (yet still faintly logical) theory of my own.

Let me ask you this: Suppose the FBI spent the next 6-12 months coming up completely empty on why the shooter did it & what he may have been thinking.
At that point in time, should we still not expend any resources looking into whether (at the very least) Mr. Paddock may have read Singer's materials using proxy IP's or something similar?

Since Mr. Paddock was likely very affluent and usually only played $25/$100 VP machines and was a semi-AP for his own gambling, I did wonder if he read Rob's philosophies as comforting comic relief from depression since they had similar law-abiding career choices and interests.

I think it was blackhole's postings that more than likely put the shooter over the edge. He is much more anti-ap than anyone here. His vociferous condemnation of the AP lifestyle may have been the catalyst for the shootings.

Well, I can't move to Canada, but then it doesn't matter. It's all the same to me. Except the nagging question of what we will watch the news for after Trump is gone. He sure drained "the swamp" of brains. I get a kick out of his youngest kid walking around with a t-shirt that says "EXPERT". But I guess that the biggest ongoing problem down there is the cost of your military. It sucks everything out of health care, and public education and other programs.
