The Package Revisited

I noticed coach belly posted, then edited out, some response to my "Don't Bet My Plays" thread, and that got me to thinking about belly and Singer and Alan and all of the package stuff from the summer.

I just wrapped one of the all-time dominant college football regular seasons. It'll go into the books as my fourth or fifth best season in 40 years, but it was better than that because it was hard. So, as it turns out, all of the nonsense with Singer regarding who I was, or what I've done, was complete psychotic bullshit. It turned out it didn't matter if I was a "ditz," as belly likes to say, or whether I took a bus to Las Vegas (from Anaheim, mind you), or whether I ate buffets at the Gold Coast.

I was dominant. I was Sheldon Cooper handicapping football. Anybody who followed me made a small fortune.

Now that leads me to the whole "package" ordeal. Since I'm putting together similar packages to give to guys in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks, I was reminded of the whole disappointing debate. It was too much for Alan to go pick up a package, read some stuff, and verify that his friend, Rob, didn't know what the hell he was talking about. None of this affected me, but it may have affected people who had some interest in betting football. I feel badly if anyone missed a semi-historic season because Alan didn't feel like driving 40 miles or reading 40 pages. Oh well....

No anonymity here. Rob Singer, with his Gaming Today joke credentials, and belly, with his comments regarding buses and people's fathers, and whoever else, I just wanted to thank you for helping me stay focused for 100 days and making it a season to remember.

In my opinion, you should let the "package" die. You may not think so, but you more than proved your point. No one here that has an ounce of objectivity has any doubt that you are who you say you are. :)

And anyone lacking an ounce of objectivity, who does still doubt, can't be satisfied with anything that you do or show. There is NO proof you can provide that will satisfy them....so they play games as Alan did throughout the package deal. My advice: Don't waste any more time and effort on the trolls.

I imagine coach expects me to answer this question, which I've answered before multiple times. Coach, your research skills seem lacking when you prefer to make particular points.

As I said, I answered this multiple times. No, Alan was not supposed to post them. Alan knows this too. Alan, after requesting the material before not requesting the material, was expected to eyeball it and say, "Yeah, redietz is who he says he is and has done what he's said he's done, and Singer doesn't know what he's talking about." As the resident high-profile journalist, Alan's word would presumably have settled the matter.

It kinda seems as if you were using this package ordeal just so you could tell us how well you did in sports. I have no problem with you doing that, however, I dont like how you presented it. First of all this has nothing to do with Rob or my friendship with Rob. This is about the following:

My life had changes. I haven't been to the office in months and it's unlikely I will ever go back.

It's also about redietz not posting himself on this forum when he easily could.

And it's also about why after all this time redietz hasn't sent his package to someone else?

Redietz could easily post web links to anything on the web. Older print articles may in fact not be available on the web. He can photograph bylines and key paragraphs under fair use... but he won't.

I told redietz he didn't have to send the package to me. I told him I believed him. He sent the package. Tony told me what's in the package. I still believe redietz.

What's the problem?

That happened long before packagegate. For many, it was when he tried to prove a point by tremendously embellishing claims to prove a point and then going with it, even when his claims are next to impossible.

I have interacted with Alan on internet gambling forums for more than a decade.

Early on it became obvious to me that he was "different," but in a way difficult to quantify.

He was flamed and jeered at by reasonably savvy gamblers on internet forums long before the Math Boyz at WoV gave him the bum's rush.

Which is fine, it really doesn't matter, other than to provide entertainment and an aid to critical thinking.

I enjoy reading his posts and I enjoy arguing with him: invariably I come away from such interactions secure in the belief that my position is the correct one.

At the time, Mr. Singer was claiming I wasn't me and was making everything up. He also had an issue with me not posting material online, which I would never do. The most important, credible stuff was in the McCusker Reports, by former Seattle newspaperman Mike McCusker. Those are copyrighted. McCusker was not exactly a kind and gentle soul, to say the least. I would never, ever post his stuff.

To put it in context, I went 2000 posts here without mentioning what I do. Singer's yodeling about his "expertise" in all things gambling finally motivated me to open my mouth.

So what did you expect me to do redietz? You just said the most credible info was in the copyrighted McCusker report which you wouldn't post... so I was supposed to post it?

Perhaps Rob should try to contact Bob Dietz and tell him there is an imposter on the Vegas Casino Talk forum claiming to be him. This should be no brainer easy to prove. So Alan, tell Rob to get right on it. If Rob can prove that our Redietz is an imposter of Bob Dietz then I will start lobbying Dan to lift Rob's suspension and I will also encourage everyone else here to do the same. It will put a big feather in Rob's cap. The way to find the real Bob Dietz is though those handicapping contests he enters. Alan, I'm sure you would support Rob exposing redietz as an imposter of Bob Dietz, correct?

Seems to me that if you people miss Singer so damned much, maybe you should take turns pretending that one of you is him so that the others can argue with him.

This whole redietz 'things' is just so ridiculous and Alan as usual is pretending he isn't part of it with his comments like "I never doubted redietz", but then sneaky Alan, will add something like" there is nothing in the package that proves who he is". That is typical "shyster" Alan that we have all come to know. Alan actually said something to the effect that there was no copy of a driver's license or ID. So let's back up just a bit and see if I got this right. This site, evolved from Alan's phony Best Buy's site, where he endorses different products and services as great value, when in fact the companies he "touting" are paying for that endorsement. :rolleyes: Yeah that seems honest. Did I already say "shyster" in this post? So anyway, that site evolved into this vegas casino talk site, a small site with I don't know what, maybe 10 very active members and another 8-10 semi-active members? I think that is a fair characterization.

So lets' say 20 'somewhat' active members, talking gambling and vegas. So out of this 20 members, we have a handful of known AP's. Maybe a couple blackjack guys, 3-4 machine advantage pros, redietz a sportsbetting pro (not AP, because he doesn't like that term or want to be lumped with us AP's ;)), and a number or recreational gamblers of various levels and games. Fair characterization so far?

Ok so redietz who has been a member here for more than 6 years according to the join date, at some point mentioned something about sportsbetting and was challenged by Singer. So challenged, Redietz describes who he is, apparently a somewhat known sports handicapper of several decades and his history, which of course on this site, in never accepted without copies of bank statements and blood tests. Of course Singer, Alan and others challenge that, accusing redietz of being a fraud, pretending to be this somewhat known handicapper.

Now here's the thing, it is not like this is some sports or sports handicapping site, where anyone would know or be impressed with redietz. I mean if this was a sports handicapping site and someone comes along claiming to be some somewhat known handicapper, that would be one thing, but this is NOT that....this is a small gambling site with a very small membership, and no offense to redietz, but I don't think many (if any) knew or know who sports handicapper redietz is. I didn't. :( And I suspect redietz wanted it that way. He didn't come here touting anything. He only came here to participate on gambling topics including sports betting, which frankly there is very limited discussion.

So here is the question: Why would someone come here to a small general gambling discussion site, impersonating someone that few, if any on the site know of??:confused: I mean come on....there is not a lot of common sense on this site. :(

Now, one final prediction: Alan will respond "I never doubted redietz". Save it Alan! You sir are a typical shyster double-talker. You say things like "I never doubted him", but then make snarky little backhanded comments of how there is nothing in the package that proves his identity, which as you always do, is a backhanded way of trying to discredit someone. That is what you are Always about! And you do it sneakily (dishonestly).

So let's put this package thing to bed. I am tired of talking about people's packages. :rolleyes: I don't think redietz had some 7 year plan to come to a site with a handful of members and impersonate someone that none of them even knew of. He is who he says he is. A successful sports handicapper who like the rest of us, enjoy discussion our gambling/AP activities. I am glad to have him a member of the site and enjoy his participation. :)

It's not our fault Rob was banned. You banned him twice then unbanned him twice. And you'll remember he came running back as fast as he could both times. So don't tell me he doesn't give a shit. All Rob has to do is put up some evidence, through you, that redietz is an imposter of Bob Dietz and we'll lobby to get him back on the site. But you and I know that will never happen because Rob will never find any evidence like that. That's why he "doesn't give a shit." He knows the effort will be futile. So do you. Why don't you take a hike with Rob?

A journalist is about objectivity and integrity. So when a 'journalist' tells you that ABC carpet cleaner is the best carpet cleaner money can buy, he is putting his journalist credibility on the line. And once you cross that line, then you lose all credibility. Why should anyone believe anything you say again. I mean how do we know that Alan really finds Rob Singer to be credible (no one else does). You don't have any basis to claim that Alan has been paid to lie.

I suspect Alan will confirm that his fair and honest opinions are represented in his infomercials, if he wants to dignify your ridiculous accusations with a response.

I watched a couple, I didn't see much in the way of opinion or anything deceptive or dishonest at all...the clips were primarily information about the products.

Spokespeople are paid for endorsements, it doesn't logically follow that they are lying about the products because they are being paid.

I, however, do know who you are. You have been cordial every time we have met. I know very well that “packagegate” has been going on for a very long time because I have lurked here since you owned the forum.

What I mean is, your assistant at the office that you are never going to go to again told you what was in the package, and you just recently told rob. Since you, Alan—his trusted friend—told him, he’s suddenly “traveling” which apparently means he no longer cares to comment on this. Curious since he wasted hundreds of posts and countless hours commenting on it. That’s why I’m LMFAO.

I have absolutely no interest in arguing with rob, who is battier than a belfry and easily the rudest internet persona I have ever encountered. I’m only posting here since he is permanently banned.

Quick update: I'll be in Las Vegas next week with a couple of clients and further editions of "the package," but sans my National Gambling Conference article.
