Let me ask you this: How long have you been in Vegas now, 5 years or so? Have you had a job in that time or have you supported yourself by means of AP? (I don't know the answer, so I am honestly asking).

I am not saying you are wrong about either location. I am not even playing right now and when I do, neither is in my rotation. I will probably kick myself for asking, but just what do you suspect is going on? Shuffle machine? Shorting the deck? Dealing seconds?

It is easy to jump to conclusions that prove to be wrong based on a small sample size. When and if I get started playing this year, it will be year 18 for me and I still can get tripped up and jump to the wrong conclusion. I did it last summer when I lost nearly 30k at one casino in a few weeks (playing double stakes). Casino at the far southern point (<- lol) of LVB. I publicly screamed that they wear cheating and it turns out I just hit terrible negative variance at just the time I increased my stakes.

I think you are correct that if they are really cheating, it would be very hard to prove. Anything short of video proof will be laughed at.

My advise is what it always is. If you feel you are being cheated or are uncomfortable for any reason, don't play tat game. There are way too many opportunities to play one you are uncomfortable with, imaginary or real. You have this mentality that you have to beat every game, have a winning record and results at every location. Every year I have a few casino's that I have losing results at for the year. Maybe 3-4 out of 30+. The object is to win the war, not every single battle.

Are you averaging win of $150 and hour or EV of $150 an hour? If it is win, that could be just positive variance. Positive variance is better than negative variance of course, but just means you were lucky short term, luckier than expectation.

Now playing a game with $150 an hour EV and then winning $150 an hour....that would be something. THAT would show you are a good player playing a strong game.

Look, stop with the "your the best"....your not and the "show me another player" crap. I make as much as you if not more playing similar stakes. I make as much if not more EV (because I aggressively exit negative counts) and as much, probably more in actual win. Not last year which was below average for me, but most years combined. I am not trying to put you down, but you are not the best. Nor am I.

Also, I have always defended you, saying he is just letting off a little steam, venting as we all sometimes do. There is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I am not going to say you shouldn't be gambling for a living or gambling at all as someone else did. But there are some concepts that a player playing for a living needs to understand and accept and you haven't been able to do that....yet.

I would start with these.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, just like regular gamblers. You don't always win. You shouldn't try to always win (leads to chasing losses) or expect to always win.

You shouldn't take it personally when you don't win and you really seem to take it personally. If you really feel something isn't right, don't play that game, that dealer, that casino. There are a lot of fish in this desert sea. :cool:

Also, I don't know how you figure your expectation (EV). Is it Norm's software? I get the feeling your expectations are out of whack. Could be something as simple as you are not getting in as many rounds per hour as you think.

The fact that to this day I'm still wondering about the integrity of the casinos in this town tells me all I need to know. The fact that not one counter has stepped up and told me they have won their long term is further proof. I mean who am I kidding. 99.9% of these forums never made more than 50k in counting earnings let alone 100k playing solo. It's either they were on a team, busted out, or made nothing at the game. I'll never have my answer unless I find out for myself and keep playing these stores, but the risk is I lose my whole bankroll trying to find out. Yes it's a small edge, but the volume of bets per hour along with table limits make up for it, which is why if you know what you're doing the hourly is pretty much unmatched. Other shit might have a higher edge but is much more opportunistic, low limits, requires a lot of travel, or is just such a hassle it kills the hourly. Imagine being that stupid. People rip on counting cause they're too degen and undisciplined to succeed at it or save up a bankroll. These same people are also all broke and need to find other AP plays and teams to fill the gap.

I did not end up in the red last year for the year.

I did underperform expectation and pretty significantly for the second time in my career, but still ended in the black.

I also played less than half of what I normally do because of covid. Casinos closed for 3 months, plus covid medical situation and precautions.

MFraud has been told repeatedly that I did not finish in the red, yet he insists on repeating this lie. And then wonders why few people believe anything else he says.

Can't Casino Verite give you the probability of observing what you're observing Zenking (ROR, Nzero, etc) ? If so, why not make the investment if you haven't already. Or are you already using this software and you have observed results that the software indicates are virtually impossible ?

He's been moving up in the world, he even got himself a nice place (I was impressed) and he has even been hosting a little. I got to hand it to him, when all the other blackjack players were crying during the shutdown and doing nothing, he actually got a crappie side gig "a real job" so he wasn't spending money on bills with no income. Maybe I'd get along with him if we met; I suspect that he, like me, uses these boards as a sort of alter ego, e.g. Clark Kent v. Superman, and that we aren't the same in real life as we portray ourselves online.

This is the case with most people online if I had to guess. Pretty easy to be likeable when you meet people. It isn't in anyone's interest to not be likeable in person, so it really isn't a thing. Now working with someone or being dependent on their actions in some way is a whole different game.

Yeah he loves to vent. Obviously, he's not void of some issues in that brain of his.... ZK be crazy, all the casinos are cheating me, the government is out to get me, credit cards are evil. I don't know how he can sleep at night. It would suck not to be able to just chill out and relax. But, who doesn't have some issues?

FYI, whatever the case, he's at least genuine and tells the truth about his money situations etc. he's not sitting around all day on the forums making up a bunch of fake stock trades, claiming to have millions in BTC all while living someone else's high roller life from his family's basement.

I am glad ZenKing's friends, Axelwolf and MaxPen have spoken up today, as well as ZenKing himself, so we know how he is doing. I am also glad he is doing well.

Besides that he was undertaking this dream of playing blackjack for a living and moving clear across country to do so (no easy task), he was further handicapped by it being the first time he was out on his own having lived ta home until 30 or close to it. I am not sure he even knew how to do laundry. :D He was further handicapped because he had no rental history and maybe no credit history, nor could prove income, which limited his initial living situation to those monthly type places. That can't be good for anyone... :p

I can't remember the exact terms anymore, but the only way I was able to get into a decent place when I first could afford it was to pay six months and advance along with a big deposit that was redistributed to my rent after I had been there for a year. I really didn't mind all that, however, it was still hard to get into a place even when I left there many places wouldn't even accept a full Year's worth of payments. Luckily they wrote me a glowing recommendation letter. And no, that wasn't because I was a glowing tenant in their eyes, yeah, I paid the rent on time, but every since they seriously pissed me off, I proceeded to break half their rules and make the management's lives completely miserable. They wanted me out so bad that they were willing to do anything at that point. You are probably asking yourself why didn't they just evict me or give me a notice to vacate? After they pissed me off, I started gathering lots evidence of many improprieties. I got down and dirty making sure I had some solid bargaining power. Once they sent me a notice, (it was 30 days if I remember correctly). I had me a little unexpected meeting with the manager at her local hang out where I showed a fraction of my evidence that included a recording of their miss behavior and why they were going to write me a glowing letter of recommendation, and back it up if they were contacted, give me back all my deposits, and as much time as I needed to find a new place.

Heh heh, now THAT was an advantage play.

I did not end up in the red last year for the year.

I did underperform expectation and pretty significantly for the second time in my career, but still ended in the black.

I also played less than half of what I normally do because of covid. Casinos closed for 3 months, plus covid medical situation and precautions.

MFraud has been told repeatedly that I did not finish in the red, yet he insists on repeating this lie. And then wonders why few people believe anything else he says.

But whether he believes he could re-open his claim or does not believe that he could, an employee could file an unemployment claim even if his place of employment is wide open for business. I mean, is it so difficult to imagine scenarios where he might be eligible? pandemic or no pandemic. In any case the bases for a PUA claim are not necessarily foreclosed by the place of business' being open.

Ok, so it went like this. My brother and I signed up for and collected unemployment for 11 weeks that the casinos were closed, just as the new laws or regulations allowed. It took DTER (that is the unemployment service or office here in Nevada), like 6 or 7 weeks to get it all ironed out, maybe 8, but we eventually got all 11 weeks. I don't feel bad or guilty or even embarrassed about collecting unemployment while casinos were closed. Anyone trying to embarrass or shame me on that is barking up the wrong tree. I think it is fantastic that they expanded eligibility to include self employed and gig workers, all whom were thrown out of work at a moments notice due to no fault of there own.

So when casinos re-opened in June, I claimed no more weeks because I went back "to work". Shortly after going back I stopped playing feeling uncomfortable with the casino environment, especially the blackjack tables as at the time masks were not required. Then masks became a requirement and I started again. Stopped and started a couple times during the summer and fall, once for a little complication from my covid illness and eventually stopped playing in early November, although I played a couple more sessions into Decembers just to use some match play chips/coupons. And haven't played since.

I think I might have been able to re-open my claim at almost any time after I stopped filing filing in June. Not sure but I think so and I think the process is easier than opening the initial claim. I think you just start filing again for individual weeks. I may be wrong. I haven't looked into it although I have thought about it a few times.

It just doesn't seem right to me at this time. It is different than when casinos were closed. Right now casinos are open and I am "choosing' not to play. That should be on me, the way I see it. I think the powers that be were fair in allowing professional gamblers to be eligible during the time casinos were closed and I don't want to abuse that. I have money to hold me over until whenever I start again, hopefully in the next month or two.


Now just getting into a hypothetical. Lets say someone was a restaurant worker and they filed when their restaurant closed. After their restaurant re-opened, I am guessing (don't know for sure, so anyone can feel free to correct me), that if they were higher risk and really didn't feel comfortable going back to that restaurant work environment, they would still be eligible to collect, especially under these somewhat relaxed rules and eligibilities. That is why I think I could probably still be collecting, but I just don't want to.

At that point technically you are really crossing over from some sort of unemployment claim situation to what should be a disability situation, uncomfortable with the work environment for health reasons. I don't know. But I am fine with my situation. I was eligible and collected when casinos were closed and currently am "choosing" not to work. To me that is not an unemployment situation.

Despite that I have your ass blocked, I sometimes see some things you post, either through quotes, or if I view the site from my phone with out logging in. Unfortunately that is the way it works.

So I am going to respond to this because I think it is important. I am sure you will make me regret that decision.

I already posted about unemployment. I am not on it current. I collected my 11 weeks when casinos were closed. I have thought about reopening my claim and seeing what happens recently, but haven't done so. Well see what happens in the next month or so with vaccines and me getting back to the casinos to earning a living. If it is going to be months and months down the road, I might look into it. And I really am not embarrassed about that. But right now I am not collecting and haven't been since casinos re-opened.

So my issue with your repeated lies about my year have nothing to do with that. The problem is that it is a lie. I am not a math guy that is going to have some new super duper counting method of card counting or advantage play. I just go by the old, antiquated but still viable method of card counting with a few little twists that I have incorporated. So being that I am not a math guy that is going to be sharing any grand new hocus pocus way of winning, I have always just tried to share my journey of being a mid-level grinder type card counter. And I have shared in as much detail as I can without doing real harm to myself. I like to say I have shared the good, the bad and the ugly.

And this year was ugly, but it wasn't a losing year. I was in the red as late as early October, which is a new unpleasant experience for me, but I pulled into the black low 5 figures my final month or so. Now had I had an entire year in the red, I would have shared it. I know other players that have. No shame. Unlike other AP methods with higher advantages and lower variance, blackjack card counting is a high variance deal. Anyone that gets into it has to understands that and be able to deal with that. So maybe some year I will have a losing year, but it wasn't this year and I really don't appreciate you repeatedly lying about it. I mean seriously, if you are going to lie about that, and continue to do so even after I have corrected you, why should anybody believe anything you say.

If you absolutely feel the need to bust on me and put me down for having a significantly below expectation year, at least be honest about. I mean, hey I made less from blackjack (14k) than a fast food worker. If it somehow makes you feel better to put me down, do that, but at least be honest....that's all I ask.

Everyone on here says that UnKewlJ is a serial liar. Even if they didn't, that he can't 'fess up to that I've proven my wins 2018 - 2020, shows me that he's a liar. Liars lie - and that he's admitted to ending in the red in 2020, and giving up means that he lost more than just that year, too.
