Thread: Space Cadet: Katy Perry's residency at Resorts World lost millions, and now she's not invited back

  1. #21
Katy falling out of favor from the huge heights she was at roughly 17 years ago is hopefully a good warning to Gen Z Gen Alpha to SAVE money. Too many Gen Z and Gen Alpha think that if you are popular TODAY, you'll be financially set for LIFE which is not true. It just takes a couple of musical flops or controversies and today's big Star could be begging Fans for autograph money tomorrow. A Former Big Star was so broke, he ended up asking Fans for $20 for Autographs. Sad. So today's young people have to realize that fame is fleeting and they should be saving money.

    Tasha,

Tasha, what the hell. Why are you giving money advice to anyone about saving for a rainy day?

You literally assumed your bingo scam was going to go on indefinitely and intentionally blew money because of it.

You asked random people on the internet for money in private messages because you’d already exhausted payday loans and friends/family.

They tried to start charging royalties for girl scouts to sing songs around campfires but the public backlash forced them to back off:

“ In 1996, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) initially proposed charging Girl Scouts and other nonprofit camps for royalties to sing copyrighted songs, even campfire songs. This prompted a public relations debacle, as the Girl Scouts had previously assumed such singing was exempt. However, ASCAP later clarified that it did not intend to license Girl Scouts singing around the campfire and agreed to reimburse councils that had paid.”
They wanted to charge royalties for Girl Scouts singing songs around campfires? What utter bollocks (British for completely ridiculous bullshit) The Girl Scouts singing songs around campfires are just friends singing to each other. What next, charging drunk people at bar karaoke for singing Separate Ways by Journey?
YES Moron, bars do have to pay licensing fees to allow Karaoke. There are 3 major music licensing groups that bars are legally required to have to allow live music and even a jukebox. Though with the jukebox the licensing is handled and paid for by the vendor that places it.

ASCAP is the most vicious of the 3 hiring aggressive “salespeople” who threaten and harass bars to pay the fee based on their size. As they are mostly commissioned based, they search the internet, and newspapers in older times, looking for band schedules and such. Then they constantly call the bar/ restaurant with threats of lawsuits until paid. And hire local subcontractors to record videos of the entertainment at the bar for proof in court. They have in some cases sued for big money and at one time were rumored to have a judge in their pocket as they always filed in his court. At some point the owners give up and just get extorted.

    Here are some cases.

    https://www.ascap.com/press/2024/03/...ay-songwriters

One can argue the songwriters deserve money for their songs but where is the line drawn?

Post of the Week and it’s only Monday. But short of a miraculous KJ resurrection, this isn’t going to get beat.

Also note that MDawg who has been very fair to Tasha recently stated she was lying about only asking for loans on 2 occasions. I have been told the same by others that it’s occurred many other times in private.

Hence why I'm the PERFECT PERSON to give advice about saving for a rainy day. I'm a Cautionary tale on how quickly "good financial ideas," can go bad, so I learned from my experience and can tell people,"SAVE, DON'T do the financial mistakes that I did. "

Bullshit, you are not the perfect person to speak on anything about money. Only in your retarted feeble brain is a “bingo scam” an income strategy. You never had any amount of money in your control that would put you above poverty level. Nor have you ever had a “good financial idea” in your pathetic life.

You are too lazy to get a 2nd job to try and improve your life, and no, taking surveys doesn’t count. You have learned nothing about money and continue to play the lottery, which is a tax on the poor and stupid.

As I’ve said many times, look in the mirror and if it doesn’t break, take a hard look at why you are in the mess you are, begging strangers for cash. Spoiler alert, the person you see is the one responsible for the mess, along with the pile of shit on the floor.

Every time you post you show how stupid you truly are.

    Think again.

Besides. in his early days Bruce made some great songs: who gives a flying fuck about his politics?

    He's an entertainer.

So Mickey what do you dislike about the man, his music or his politics?
We didnt know Springsteen was a piece of shit then. Hes another stupid hater just calling names but never giving specifics.

The Bingo scam was a house of cards , pun intended, that was built on VERY shaky foundation. Also, technically the Survey side job is working from home. And I NEVER shit on the floor and I honestly wish that person NEVER posted that because it inadvertently got me harassed for something that I NEVER did.

Does this mean that Springsteen has some kind of veto power over the licensing of his music?

My understanding was that musicians contract with a licensing firm which takes it all out of their hands.
Springsteen sold his music catalog in 2021

There are tons of specifics he could give but it would not matter to you so don't act otherwise.

It matters how you manage your money.

Vanilla Ice the one hit wonder milked that hit for everything and is still a multimillionaire today off that single hit,

M.C. Hammer who had multiple hits and multiple best selling albums & was once one of the most popular music stars in the world making $30 Million dollars a year blew all that money.

The moral of the story is even if you act black, like Ice did, it’s still hard to be as stupid as most of them are with money.

There even is a term for it when they come into money.

You libtards can't defend shit like a person with a dick and balls is a woman. You know you sound stupid when you try to defend shit like that so you just name call, like that will do it. You don't know how stupid you look when you do that?

Here's my position. A person with a dick and balls is not a woman. So why don't you go ahead and show us your argument on why a person with a dick and balls is a man? Go ahead. We need a big laugh.

No conservative argument ever made a difference to you either so STFU.

Vanilla Ice isn't financially okay today because of Ice Ice Baby however. He's financially okay because he went into real estate business. Real estate is often a lucrative career.

Yes but the money he invested in real estate guess where he got that from?

Hint: it wasn’t from the tooth fairy
