Nope--this is a real gambling-related topic that might be too hot for most of the slunks around here.
I never go back thru threads to look up stuff in this place. A few weeks ago I think mickey may have been the one to post a recent LVA interview of Bob Dancer? Within it Dancer mentioned something eye-opening that at the very least should have piqued the interest of kew, who is no stranger at getting pissed off over claims of incredible winning by other people not sanctioned by him.
During the discussion with Anthony Curtis it was brought up that within one 12 month period--assuming some sort of promotion at a local now-closed bar on Eastern (Doc Holliday's)--Bob hit "25 to 30 $50,000 royals, which caused them to not allow him to play there anymore".
Now I'm guessing that these were all $10 royals with a $10k bonus attached to them for the promotion, due to a lack of specific information.
Can any of the hot shots around here explain this? A local bar that gets hit up for over $1.25mil by a famous local name over a 1-year time frame? They just let him keep coming in to destroy them? Did he single-handedly cause their demise?
I like the story, but I'm having trouble squaring it.
