I don't know how many legitimate Advantage players you know, but that's simply not the case. I'm sure it can apply to a few, but certainly not everyone. That's one thing about Advantage players, there is such a diverse mix of people, and there are so many different types of Advantage players and Advantage play.

It is such a goofy thing for him to say. I think it is very much the case that someone who says this sort of thing is far more likely to be projecting their own degeneracy on others.

There's no need to be nice here; it's fun watching others come apart at the seams after a direct-hit insult. The strong survive; the weak wilter. Watching kew self-destruct with his lying after a series of truthful denigrations is truly a joy to behold, and one of the top reasons I stay here.

There is some truth to what Slap's saying. Many many "locals" play in mostly -EV situations for the comps and card status while claiming to be advantage players. They generally lose their weekly allotment then self-value the extras in order to create a "winning overall" scenario--thus justifying their actual cash losses. These are the degenerates, and there are a good many of them.

As for Slap: he plays very similar to how Alan played--he went in, sat down wherever he felt was lucky, and played. And he had the money to do it, at least until near the end. I suspect his son does also. Not all that different from how MrV says he plays, who says he loses overall but has fun and the money to do it.
