You don't remember Dems spouting off about "go on out and play, everybody." You don't remember Fauci saying "Go on, go to the Super Bowl. Have a blast." THAT GOT THOUSANDS KILLED!! No, you dont remember any of that shit. YOU JUST WANT TO PUT IT ALL ON TRUMP BECAUSE YOU ARE A FASCIST SOCIALIST PIG.
When Fauci played it down Trump played it down. When Fauci played it up Trump played it up. What the fuck else was he supposed to do? He's not a fucking scientist. But your fascist socialist pig ass puts the whole thing on Trump. You are a straight up bag of shit THAT HAS NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
The Woodward story is just a bunch of hot air about nothing. It's a fucking nothingburger.
Now FUCK OFF AND DIE, BITCH
I sometimes read things on this board proclaimed like they were undisputed facts which seem unlikely to be true and which I've never heard before. Mostly I ignore it, but this has me curious. So you're saying that Fauci told people to go to the Super Bowl, and THAT GOT THOUSANDS KILLED. I actually don't remember Fauci saying that, but I'm not sure I even knew who the guy was back then. I'm not saying that you lying about what he said. It may well be true. I can't find the quote though. I will say that prior claims of the Fauci minimizing the virus have ignored the few documented cases at the time and his caution that this could change in the future. I've never heard him say that that COVID was not a potential threat or that it would just go away. His messages were more like saying that at this time the risk is low.
I'm actually much more interested in the 1,000's killed claim. This should be a major story if true. I believe that there were around a dozen confirmed cases at kickoff in the country and none in Florida. Since we didn't have much testing back then, this could be a big undercount though. Still, I have to ask if there is a single documented case having attended the Super Bowel. Florida's cases didn't start rising until months later in June. In fact they didn't have a single documented case in February. I still remember the Governors defiant press conferences saying that everyone had been wrong about case spikes coming to Florida. When Florida did finally become a hotspot, he did an interview saying that the Super Bowl may have spread the virus. Perhaps it did. I'm unaware of any studies or trends that support this though. I don't even know of a single documented case of Super Bowl spread, let alone 1,000's of deaths. Is there a source for this?
I've also read a lot on this board blaming Trump's misinformation campaign on others. Fauci was not operating with a lot of information in January and February. If he doesn't know about asymptomatic spread or the numbers of people actually infected, then suggesting that events shut or parts or all of the economy shuts down would be no better than an educated guess. Folks on your side would have been pretty critical of him suggesting such a thing without data. You're conflating this with Trump continueing to hold unmasked rallies, egging on his supporters to violate social distancing guidelines, and making a mixed message on masking. If you are not aware, Fauci does not agree with any of this and hasn't for months.
