It comes down simply that it's not justified to do so. It's a combination of analyzing what this situation justifies and the valuation of money. Yeah pretty much my exact thoughts on the matter.

I would tip a few hundred if I knew they'd appreciate it, but I know I'd just get resentment and angry looks.
