I'm pretty sure your thinking is more advanced on the subject matter of the movie TENET compared to mine.
I didn't even realize that Christopher Nolan put the movie together till the end credits.
Of course while watching it I couldn't help to constantly compare it to INCEPTION.
Made sense once I seen his name at the end.
When I seen Dunkirk in the movie theater I loved it.
My uncle, not so much.
Claimed like many others that the movie wasn't much of a movie.
I tried to explain that it wasn't in a traditional story format.
That movie was a visual experience.
The scenes in the cockpits were enough for me to go back by myself and watch it again.
Anyways, Happy Gilmore is goofy but has so many great one liners I can't help but love it.
This is all subjective but that movie never stops.
Its jab after jab of great wit.
Jaws is in that movie.
Apollo Creed is in it.
Lee Trevino.
Happy Gilmore beating up Kevin Nealon telling him to play it where it lies Mother Fucker lol lol lol.
The clown spitting back his ball in the miniature golf scene.
Ben Stiller running a sweat shop at the old folks home.
Well the price is now 200 dollars per quilt.
Well this is high quality shit we are talking about here.
Ok... pleasure doing business with you.
Good News Girls... I've increased arts and crafts time by 3 hours today!
"My fingers hurt"... whats that?
"My fingers hurt"
Oh now your backs gonna hurt because you just pulled landscaping duty... lol lol lol.
Anyone else's back hurt??
I didn't think so.
The homeless guy becomes a caddy.
Opponent puts a quarter down to mark his ball.
Homeless caddy comes over and picks it up and puts it in his pocket lol lol lol.
Gilmore using a batting cage to toughen up his body for hockey tryouts lol.
First caddy takes his clubs and Gilmore knocks him down to the ground because he thinks he is stealing them.
Gilmore pulling the old school hockey move to a Fan by pulling over his shirt and hitting him with a left hook lol lol lol.
The Fucking Movie is endless.
To each his own.
I guess you either love it or hate it.
Let's not forget that I don't enjoy John Wick very much.
And I for sure only liked the first installment.
After Gilmore I popped in Tin Cup because of this thread.
Not sure how you guys don't love that movie.
It has nothing but prop bet gambling all through it.
Great Movie with a clever storyline.
People think it is unrealistic but those types of guys exist.
I've known a few and have tried to become one of them in the last decade or so.
I'm not there yet... still have fear holding me back but I have crashed and burned enough to relate to the subject material.
The opening scene is a pretty good bang.
"I thought I had a Dr. Griswold?"
lol lol lol
Let's not forget that Bull Durham (1988) is way more popular but both movies are the same writer/director.
That being said he also did Hollywood Homicide (2003) which I didn't like but White Men Can't Jump (1992) was pretty good.
The Great White Hype (1996) isn't talked about much but its funny enough.
Ron Shelton also wrote The Best of Times (1986) which I love and watch all the Fucking Time.
Great Movie IMO... love that movie.
The guy wrote quite a bit more but I can end this wall of text here.
Kid Lester!
