IMO had we actually locked it down properly in the first place we could have had it under control. Or perhaps not since that would have had to be a global thing or heavily restricted travel. It seems as if we are never going to end this from what we are doing now.

That's probably correct. A 90-120 day lockdown, mandatory vaccination with medical exemptions, contact tracing like South Korea, New Zealand, or China, and heavily restricted international travel. Likely would have solved it in three months.

People with this thinking should instantly be put to death.
