I call it card ghosting others that know about it may call it something else. It’s exploiting a vulnerability in certain player tracking systems. I honestly don’t know of anyone else who’s aware of it. One particular casino group who recently went on a buying spree was particularly vulnerable at one of their new properties.

The play was simple enough create a max offer card first. This particular spot was giving away 400 6 days a week for a certain amount of coin in. Easy to do they had some games I could do this on for less then 500. I work with a very tight group all women. As they blend in pretty good. So I had my team build 8 max offer cards worth a little under 10k per month. This casino had a very strict amount of play that was required to keep offers on for more then 4 days. If you just came in and converted the free play they would kill the card. The amount of play needed to keep the offer on the entire two months was not sustainable. Meaning you could not profit. But there was away

Card ghosting involves a dummy card in tandem with the card that has the offer. I’m not going to explain every step but essentially you are able to convince the player tracking system that the offer was never redeemed even tho it was. What made this particular play worth so much was the system allowed for the banking of free play without expiration. However under normal circumstances this would not be exploitable because after 4 swipes with no play the casino would kill the card.

This is where the ghosting comes into play. Since the system did not recognize the ghost card it allowed for the perpetual banking of free play lol. So a two month offer essentially becomes an infinity amount or at least to a point someone would notice , or you actually redeemed the cash. So we turned a two month offer into a three month offer downloading and converting 27k per card all in one day at the end of three months. I have no doubt we could have banked much more but our team settled on three Months as the limit.

The ghosting steps should be easy to figure out for those who have a understanding of ripping free play in the past.

This casino fixed their vulnerability so it no longer works but it was pretty fun while it lasted.
I encountered a guy who would copy the mag stripe of a players card onto an extremely thin, almost invisible laminate film. The laminate film was delivered into the card reader of a machine via a regular players card and then the players card was pulled out leaving the film in the machine to accumulate points on the card the laminate was copied from whenever the machine was played (until some player discovered a different name on the electronic display which might happen right away). Way above my pay grade, but I figured some VCTers might find it interesting. I used the term Ghost Card for this, but clearly there is more than one meaning for the term based on what you just posted Seed Value.
