David Copperfield -- why does he even bother now?

I didn't attend. I always read reviews of Vegas shows before attending. I was just shocked at all the bad reviews, especially basically indicating he doesn't want to be there.

So why is he?

I've seen Copperfield maybe five or six times over the years, including a couple of times on the road (State College, PA or Harrisburg, PA). I never paid more than maybe $120 for a ticket, but I didn't get the primo tickets. The last time, when my friend took us, I assume the tickets were much pricier.
