Had they never raided the trust fund in the 1980s to cover up their insane spending back then the public would’ve woken up long ago. The FICA law should’ve required at least investment of the taxes collected be put in TBills at least then they would’ve had to pay more then the nearly 0 pct interest on the funds people now get. Only Texans got smart when they had to oppty to opt out and jumped with both feet.
There is literally nothing more satisfying than each of us receiving about $2900 in SS funds every month, knowing it's mostly the younger generations that now have to pay for it. I don't give two shits whether they ever get a cent out of it or not. In fact, I encourage these lazy generations to get 2nd and maybe 3rd jobs, just to keep the funds coming.
