The dawg would likely first claim he posts anonymously, but you know his identity and can pass that hurdle, in all probability.

I suspect there would be no action taken upon you filing a formal complaint, but hey, "I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken."

I have looked it up before MrV and even drafted a complain but never sent it, as I just don't take internet forum shit off the forum. I really should send the complaint, but with so many lawyers lying and being dishonest in real life, I doubt they would take action on a complain that occurs on the internet. The really fascinating Catch 22 to all of this kewlJ vs. MDawg scenario is that:

1) I think counting cards as an income source has probably months versus decades left to it. The AI is just too good. All casinos have to do is require ID to play -- ends card counting. The only thing propping up counters is, as kewlJ has said, the fact that casinos like keeping the myth alive for the plebes.

2) Given that card counting is counting down to done, and given that kewlJ allegedly has some lawsuit-settled income, the way to stop MDawg in his tracks is to simply drop the online anonymity. Boom. End of problem.

3) MDawg can't seriously bullshit about a real person. It puts Todd in a bind for sponsoring a forum where libel is allowed. Unlike Singer/Argentino, who has minimal resources, MDawg can't afford to lie about a real person with a real name. You could just sue his ass, if he is indeed publicly lying. If MDawg is financially who he says he is, then he'd have to drop the kewlJ spiels as soon as kewlJ puts his actual name into print. It could arguably be more profitable to sue MDawg (and Todd) than to play blackjack for the next two/three years.

4) Of course, doing this would require kewlJ to demonstrate that he is who he says he is. Then if MDawg is who he says he is, kewlJ has MDawg by the legal scrotum.

After a couple quick losing sessions, as sometimes happens, I stopped home to replenish my bankroll. I made the mistake of reading the forum as I was being driven home by the car service. Once home I logged on responded to a post and read some more. Then I decided just to call it a short night of play and watched a movie.

If I had never read the forum and responded, I would have replenished my bankroll and been back out playing. Maybe re-couped my losses, maybe added to them, but either way I would have added more expected value to the total which in the long run turns into real winnings. (wait until you see the non-AP's like Rob who don't understand advantage play comment on this. Alan surely would have. I miss Alan's presence on these forums btw.)

So of course you are correct Axelwolf, the forums I am now on are most definitely a net negative for me and have been for quite some time. Although, I do have some private conversations that are worthwhile. But Axel, doesn't this apply at least somewhat to you, me and any AP's that participate here. the forums can also be fun (and addicting) at times.

I am quite sure card counting has more than months remaining. You know they have been saying that for 60+ years right? So you are proposing casinos force every gambler to show Id? Or just blackjack players which would surely be challenged in court. By the way, last I heard, and I don't keep up, at least some Atlantic City Casinos were demanding that players either play rated or forced to flat bet. Just one of many policies responsible for Atlantic City's continuing decline.

Las Vegas is about the history and legacy. Benny Binion was known for accepting any size wager in the days when unknown people showed up with suitcases full of money, obtained who knows how. And while those days and policies are no more, the crackdown that you suggest, or Atlantic City requires to show ID to gamble or flat bet (refusing bets) just would not go over well with the history of this city.

It does seem that technology is working against us. But AP's will find ways around this. While I don't like this analogy because of the criminality aspect, each time the government puts some new technology thing in place to thwart counterfeiters, it takes about 20 minutes for people to find ways around it. APs will do the same. It is just the mindset.

I would love to have 10 more good years and retire early in my 50's, which wouldn't be all that different than my life now with lots of free time, although I would probably move somewhere more rural. And I think I will get another 10 years. And if I don't I will have the money to do something, self employment or open a business for a few years. I think I will be fine, but thanks for the concern.

It's obvious I understand and totally agree with the how & why approaches of AP's like Seed, Axel, Max, Mickey etc. around here. I couldn't have had an education and career as I've had and not have a respect for how they choose to make a living.
