If one has a choice between in person interviews and phone interviews, and cost/time is not an objection, one should always do the in-person. I'm sorry if the obviousness of that evades you.

Among the many other obvious things that evade me is why the distance between Tennessee and Las Vegas is not sufficient to count as matter of time or cost, especially considering that this interview would not be conducted to make a profit in the first place.
