Some of the good BJ teams had players and managers that were associated with the teams for long periods, decades (think Tommy Hyland's teams). But there were other teams that popped up that those who ran the team considered the players disposable. Player could make some money for 6 months and once they were busted and databased (or blackbooked at the time) the team would just move on to another group of disposable players. One of the teams I was recruited for early in my career, felt like that second situation to me.
