Jason (slapinfunk), I apologize for these trolls hijacking your thread. It was a nice thread remembering your father and sharing some things some of us didn't know about him.

Cashing out ANY amount from a free play offer is advantage play, much less $47,000. Your father never shared much if anything that he did playing with an advantage. So based on this account, at least in this instance, I can say: The late Alan Mendelson, advantage player.

Alan posted in a way to get people to just give up information to “prove” him wrong. It’s understandable that you would miss this given your demeanor. He did this to me as well on one occasion over at WOV. I believe He understood VP advantage play, and mail very well based on my private communication with him there.

That was one of the things that annoyed me about Alan. The one thing I did get a kick out of though was seeing him hitting on the ladies at the Red Rock slot machines by the craps table he spent so much time at. Back then I was in and out of Red Rock frequently and would have to say I have seen him flirting with the ladies at least 4 times. Overall you can tell he was a decent guy even though he could be annoying.

Oh boy do I have some good stories about him with the ladies and us meeting ladies in Vegas together.
