Rob, YOU are the ONLY one on these forums (that I know of) that made a living doing something other than what he claimed. I believe you worked in Aerospace along with your wife. Probably not the high level you claim. And that probably does result in a decent social security check amounts (combined). But everything else is just BS. the Singer progression system, the double up bug stolen from other actual players. All the phony jackpots. These are just tales from a degenerate type life long losing gambler, who refuses to admit that is what he is. And the reason we know this....is the math. Everything you have ever claimed, with the exception of the play you stole from other real players defies the math.

Even Mdawg probably is an attorney. He is from a wealthy family. So even he makes a living from what he claims. It is just like you, he has this need to made up stories about winning millions from casinos, when all evidence says he is just a losing player that is comped nicely. (if THAT is what you are into).

If I were NOT who I claim, doing what I do APing for a modest living, someone would have come up with proof of something else. And NO, these claims of male prostitution and homelessness are not proof of anything, except trolling.

And similarly, although some doubt has crept in about Red and everything he claims or claimed, I see no proof of anything else, and being that he has put his identity out their, there would be some proof of something else. If there is something there that I am missing, somone please show it.

No there isn't a record of cash betting. Why would there be?

Did he ever claim to be? If so please link to where.

I mean, as I have said, before the past couple years, I always though a professional sports bettor was someone who handicapped games and was able to win at a 54-55% rate to beat the vig. But apparently there are so many other things a player can do to gain an advantage. Red has always said he specialized in college football contests. I didn't know a person could do that for a living, but there is so much I don't know.

No one said there would be. Why are you asking? Redietz points to all these things as proof but really they're all because he heavily promoted himself. They don't demonstrate much else.

I don't know if he has claimed to be or not - but he sure ridicules those who are known to be winners.

Yeah this forum has a LONG history of that. I have referred to some of them as anti-AP. ex-Member blackhole, and many others, including Singer and Mdawg as well as the late founder of the forum. To me, that is about their own insecurities involving their gambling "results".

Here is the thing about Redietz. I have never seen him claim any amount won annually or lifetime. Looking at where he lives and even something like disputing a small tax bill, I get the feeling he has made and lives modestly. And there is nothing wrong with that. I think, and this is just an opinion (speculation if you will) that his insecurity comes into play with AP's that are now (over the last couple decades) able to make more than he did in the casino environment doing all sorts of different things. And of late you have AP's, not necessarily sports bettor, as he considers himself, but AP's moving into some sports betting opportunities, and that irks him even more.

That is just insecurities. In reality, nothing anyone else does, has any reflection on what he did, does or has done.

KJ, as you know Robert filed chapter seven personal bankruptcy pre-Y2K, then it seems he relocated to England.

Note that his address was listed as being in England in 2000:

Gotta think he drove an Aston Martin while in Jolly Old, and quaffed his martinis "Shaken, not stirred."

I asked him about it previously and I believe he indicated he was there due to his job.

Among the largest penises (literally not figuratively) in Hollywood are those belonging to Johnny Depp and Sean Connery (at least according to “Hollywood Babylon.”)

Couple things. 1) I never really got the attack on someone that goes: "I was doing this or that when you were in diapers". All that really says is one peron is several decades, older than the other. I think we have established that.

    2) so all these publications (from decades ago), list players that were in contests and what their records were, right? Because they wouldn't know what a player was betting as far as cash bets and how they were doing. So they are publications tracking contests. Ok, great. I really never doubted and still don't doubt that you did well in some contests. I say some because I am sure you tell us the ones you did well in and conveniently don't mention the lousy ones. (kind of like Mdawg reports all his winning days but none or few of his losing day).

    3) you mention working for Billy Walters for 6 months and even made the comment that you don't get hired by him if you are a nobody. I don't know that. I assume these top sports bettor went through "runners" like some of the top blackjack teams used and went through low level card counters. If you are going to repeatedly bring up Billy Walters, has he ever vouched for you or even said he knows who you are? I am not requesting that because I don't ask people to prove anything, but YOU keep claiming that.

    4) You like to mention all these different academic type people that you claim you know, the latest being this "chair of a college department". Who gives a fuck? What does that have to do with gambling, or sports betting? I am casual friends with an actor. Not a huge name, but he has been in a dozen movies. I have never mentioned it because it has absolutely no relevance to gambling discussions. So why do you think all these different professors and academic types has relevance or impresses anyone on a gambling forum. To tell you the truth, if anything, it makes me think you are really from the academic college professor world, and like to gamble on the side.

    5) And finally, I am an advantage player and specifically a card counter type advantage player. We play daily (or how ever often we play) against an industry and people from that industry, that want to stop us and want to identify us. My identity and anonymity is top priority for me. I see no reason to ever meet anyone from a forum, unless I was considering working for/with them. There is just way to much shit that occurs. I am aware other AP's don't feel as strongly about that and like to meet just to hang out. That is their call.

You specifically, I have had concerns about ever since you first expressed, or I first read your comments on members of a gambling forum and their anonymity. Even if not a card counter type AP, anyone around the casino industry as you claim, should understand that. That you claim not to is bizarre to me. And lately you have gone even further. It is almost like you are trying to discover peoples identity. Maybe it is nothing, but it raises red flags to me. I have experience with nutjobs from forum trying to indentify me for the purposes of harming my career. And I am not saying that is what you are up to. Just saying...

So No, I am NOT interested in having dinner with you any more than I am having dinner with Rob Singer. If I was going to meet someone from a forum, just to meet (not to partner on a play with), it would be mickeycrimm. Even other AP's that I have no doubts are AP's or even someone like Druff, I just see no reason to, when there is possible even if minute possibility of risk.

How about you just answer this one little question for me....just out of curiosity now. Is the Mob family girl you are in contests with your (second) wife? Or did Munchkin just make a mistake referring to her as that?

Otherwise have a good Vegas trip. meet lots of people if that is your goal. Heating up here now. Bring sunscreen.
Ever notice how kew is always right and anyone who exposes his BS is always wrong?

But BZZZZT!!-- kew also happens to be a proven liar. Hmmmm.....

If you read my 2nd book you'd have seen where I got into a high spped race with a famous actor (Johnny Depp) on I-80 and we stopped to chat. Not only was he impressed with my ride (a '95 Z28 with a supercharged 454 with nitrous vs. his new 911 Turbo S) we both had to take a leak in the open urinal rest area shithouse. He was impressed again.

Yeah V, as VP of International ATC systems at NG, I lived stints in the UK, Germany, Panama, Hawaii, Thailand, Hong Kong and S. Korea. And when I wasn't at my foreign or Hawaiian location or home in Az., I traveled around the world to nearly every country on earth multiple times (wherever country's main airports are) sometimes with my wife and children.

Any question about how and why (no one here's smart enuf to understand why) I have overseas property and accounts....or why I refer to most of you as the little people?

I had a Land Cruiser in the Asian countries, a Jaguar in the UK, a Honda Accord in Panama, a BMW in Germany, and a Caddy in Hawaii. And I've always had 4 cars and a motorcycle at home--still do, in two states.

Smile--I'm sure you'll be something someday....

    LOL

Let me see if I got this...you raced Johnny Depp on the freeway and both then stopped to piss; while using the "open urinal" you say that you somehow "impressed" Mr. Depp?

    How so?

Did you entertain him with tales of the Double Up bug, or winning $1.5 M on one VP pull?

Or perhaps you're implying that he gazed with awe at the size of your trouser snake?

What, did the two of you compare sizes?

So, I bought a copy of Rob Singer’s book, “The Undeniable Truth About Video Poker,” it was only a dollar on abebooks.com and I figured I’d have a look.

I do some teaching, and it’s nice to have archetypes for various concepts. This book may be one. It’s a beautiful example of anti-intellectualism. We’re all equal, and I don’t understand math, so someone who does can’t be any better than me, so math is useless. It’s a popular sentiment; one hundred years ago, William Jennings Bryan was making a name for himself by “giving the people what they want,” including the notion of deciding scientific questions (like the validity of evolution) by popular opinion. The technical name for this is IPO (Ignorant and Proud Of it). Singer’s assertions must be music to many people’s ears. Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

    1. The math may be correct for a computer, but not in the real world of the casino.
    2. The experts who espouse correct play are actually losers in the casino and are making their money by selling snake oil to the public.
    3. Singer has made lots of money by playing incorrectly, for example throwing away high cards because he felt like it and getting royals on the redraw, so the mathematically correct strategies must be wrong.
    4. If you lose on one machine, you should either move to a higher denomination to recoup your losses, or maybe to a machine with higher quad pays (BP to DB, for example).
    5. You can consistently make money by playing a machine, cashing out as soon as you have a small profit, then moving to another machine and starting over.
    6. Above all, you should do what you feel like doing, nothing more and nothing less.

OMG!! Rob did you give the late Alan a copy of your book at any point? Alan believed that stop limits somehow effected the long-term results of gambling. That you could some how over-come -EV by stopping and starting a new session. I argued this with him multiple times on multiple forums.

The guy at LVadvisor that paid a dollar for Rob's book is about right. For $1 you get a few laughs and at the end can stick it in the fireplace for a few moments of warmth. Anybody that paid more than $1, Rob owes them some money back for that garbage.
