What I said was I quickly became uncomfortable getting up at 3am and following a dealer around like that for that purpose. It just didn't feel right to me. When I play, if someone flashes the hole card, I use the information in an appropriate way. It was that literally stalking the dealer that felty "dirty" to me. Don't confuse that with illegal or cheating. It is neither. Just not how I want to win. I eventually stopped going to circus circus because they stopped offering decent blackjack.

I do not understand your compulsion to share sensitive and detailed information like this if it is even true. Most who encounter similar situations simply don't do the thing in question, and also don't tell anyone what they discovered and what they didn't do in response to the discovery. Your revealing it publicly with such detail is odd. Odd enough that one suspects the details are untrue and possibly the whole story itself. If you need to fabricate details to protect your identity, why not keep the stories to yourself in the first place?

I'm still not familiar with the details of this whole episode but if Mdawg did change his story as you say, I would be more inclined to say that KJ managed to bluff him successfully than that his story of obtaining the records is true.

Btw since I see KJ is reiterating his lie about the backrooming above I would like to reiterate something myself - he claims this was aired by not one but two local news stations, and yet no record of it ever appeared anywhere online.

Not the news sites themselves (which would all be covered by Google), not reddit, not Twitter. Nowhere. Nowhere is there a record of anyone having seen any of this coverage, much less is there any evidence of any legal filings.

What's even more absurd is his latest claim that he no longer has that statement in his possession, as if he would ever discard definitive proof of that nature....while maintaining 20 years of his own meticulous gambling records.

I posted that “about even” statement to get my thread unhidden. Wizard and I met that day socially, for about an hour in a casino VIP lounge, as he showed me some magic tricks and discussed “what it would take” to get the thread unhidden. We did not go over any session results. The “about even” post was made as an accommodation to get my thread unhidden, that’s it.

Anyone see the movie Civil Action probably 1990's movie, where John Travolta and a very small firm is bringing an environmental case against a very, very large Corportation (corporate attorney Robert Duvall)? One of the more sympathetic victims was a young man maybe early 20's that lived near where the environmental dumping was taking place. He developed cancer, and wasted away during the movie, passing away before the eventual settlement.

So the settlement Travolta and his small firm were able to eventually get, was a fraction of what they started out going for. The mother of this young man that had passed was furious. She said, more than money, she wanted an apology for what they did to her son. Travolta had told her that the money (settlement) WAS the apology.

So in my case, I didn't want an apology as much as I wanted there to be a way that the casino in question was held accountable in the public court of opinion, as well as any settlement I might get. Took some kind of PR hit. BUT my hands were really tied in that I just was unwilling to expose my identity to do so. I sort of wanted the video to be released to the news, without bringing up my name. IF only there was a way!!

So when a young lady from one of the news stations called me and told me they had the video of the incident (how they got it I have no idea ), and wanted my comments, my official position was I was not interested in commenting and requested they not use my name. (I am going to get in trouble for this....I know).

I would have loved to have pulled a Grosjean and taken everything public. BUT I just couldn't. Not as an active player who intended to keep playing.

So the way it played out was the way it played out. I got a settlement we were happy with and there was some minor news coverage in the local news. I wish there could have been more, but it is what it is.

One of the attorneys can weigh in, but a back-rooming incident, even if it can be classified as illegal arrest, illegal detention or even "kidnapping" just is not going to be a criminal complaint. Police aren't going to come arrest casino executives and personnel for that. It is going to end up a civil type case if you decide to bring a case. It is going to be about money (settlement or verdict, not arrest). That is just the way it is.

Mdawg completely changed his story with the about even comment on Oct 24, 2021, one week before I had his actual records in hand (given to me at my Halloween Party).

Early Oct 2021, The sale of Cosmo was announced to MGM. It would be a while before it took place or closed as they say, but it was announced at that time. Almost immediately I made a post saying "good, I might be able to get ahold of Mdawg records at some point" (because of a friend at MGM).

I thought that point would be months down the road, but when I inquired with my friend he immediately said, he might know someone. I beleive I posted that I might be getting the records sooner than expected. And then low and behold, Mdawg posted his "about even" revelation on Oct 24.

So while yes, he posted "about even" a week before I had his records in hand, he knew it was coming because I had posted as much.

So sorry Belly, your attempt at fanangling the timeline to make it look like Mdawg revelation came a week before I had his records, doesn't work. He KNEW I was about to get those records, and that is why the whole "about even" revelation came to be.

I'm sorry to say this, but if you don't have the records or access to them anymore, and you're not willing to provide proof of the evidence to someone like Todd this entire topic should be stricken from the record.

Here is part of a post made on this very forum, Oct 25, 2021, the day after Mdawgs "about even" revelation that shows what the real timeline was, not coach belly's alternative version. You will note the reference to the Cosmo sale which had been announced weeks before, and how at that moment I knew I would at some point get a hold of Mdawgs Cosmo records and they just would not match what he had claimed for 7 months. You people can say whatever troll shit you want to make up. I fucking caught Mdawg in his lies, he panicked and exposed himself.

The further fact is that once the sale of Cosmo was announced, that opportunity was available or would become available to me. At that point Mdawg and the "great escalating adventure" were doomed, as his 7 months of reported wins, would not match casino records. His first move was probably to try to get his host to alter his casino records. He was probably surprised when no host would agree to that illegal act which would constitute fraud. With no other options, he had to quickly make his claims match the official records. And thus he magically lost all of his winnings from the last 7 months with an announced massive 3 day loss. Winnings that were never real.

Y'all can surmise whether I was bluffing or not, but I don't bluff. I am NOT a poker player. The opportunity presented itself and I took it and Mdawg hung himself (as these guys always do) attempting to backtrack and cover up. And yes, because he lied about me, over and over, and over, when I warned him not to, I take some pleasure in dismantling this fantasy that he spent 7 months assembling, lie by lie (brick by brick).

A house of cards is what it was. The guy is simply a higher end losing player, that gets some high end comps fitting for his loses. He is a NOT James Bond character. He is NOT the greatest player ever that he claims dealers, pit and hosts all repeatedly told him. He is a NOT even a winning player. He IS a losing degenerate gambler, with disposable money to burn. Not quite as good a fairytale is it?
