I was just going to point out that AQ seems to know nothing about intimate interactions with other human beings.

The name my partner gave me was kewl or cool and then my first name. I used that as my first handle, until I realized having your first name in your handle was a bad ide and then shorted it to KewlJ or even KJ on one forum.

Hardly unusual at all for people to call someone they know well, even just a friend with a nickname type name. Maybe AQ should check with any straight friends that he has (if he has any) and ask them if they have ever had a little pet or nick name for their GF or their GF ever had a little pet name for them. AQ would discover it is not as unusal as he makes it out to be. But I wouldn't expect someone like him to admit it after discovering he is wrong. Just not in his makeup.

I don't know what you do with the prison situation. But men into women's sports, makes me laugh. This was a big republican talking point during the election. Of course, people born male shouldn't be playing in female sports. But it sounds like a made-up problem to me. Where is this happening? Are there people born male that play in the WNBA? People born male that play in professional women's tennis or golf? I haven't heard of any of that. Do the Olympics allow people born male to perform in female sports? I haven't heard that.

Is it happening at the college level? I haven't heard and am not familiar. Is it happening at the high school level? Maybe it is, but I haven't heard of it. And if it is at high school level, that goes into a whole other problem area for me. People should not be allowed to be changing sex under the age of 18 (if at all). We have laws that say you can't smoke until 18, can't drink until 21. Why would it be ok to cut off your dick or sew up your vagina or whatever they do at younger than 18?

Most of this shit is just common sense. If you are born a guy and attracted to guys you are gay. If you are born female and attracted to females, you are gay (lesbian). This happens naturally in humans as well as animals. It doesn't mean you cut off your dick and try to become a female or someone born female have whatever operations to try to become male.

It is just awkward as fuck and I've never heard any adult person call another person "cool" as part of their daily nickname. Nicknames sure. But you never like to stay on the discussion and always need to twist something around a bit.

I am not really counting on social security for me, but I would like my mother to get hers. She is currently retired from 25 years of teaching, but her pension isn't quite enough. My brother and I supplement her a little bit while we wait for her to hit full retirement so she gets the higher SS amount.

As for what is going to happen in 2034, I am not too worried about that. IF social security survives the all republican control of the next two years, and congress gets back to normal, the likely solution will be they do nothing until 2034 and then just pay the additional money from the general government expenses (more debt). That way neither side has to do anything about it before then and they can just talk and blame each other.

Why is it that you don't know a fucking thing about how SS works?

SS takes money in from workers and pays it out to retiree's.
SS showed a big surplus from 1935 until 2021, over 80 years.
All of the surplus was supposed to go into interest bearing bonds (SS Trust Fund).
But over the years Congress stole about half the money.
Still there is plenty of money in the trust fund.
SS has been running a slight deficit since 2021. More money coming in than going out.
The difference is payed by the SS Trust Fund.
By 2034 the Trust Fund will be depleted.
But people will still be paying into SS.
And people will still be collecting SS.
At that point SS will only be able to pay out 73% of what retiree's have coming.

BUT PLEASE. DON'T TALK ABOUT SS RUNNING OUT OF MONEY. IT CAN'T RUN OUT OF MONEY AS LONG AS PEOPLE ARE PAYING INTO IT.

The shit will hit the fan within a couple of years of 2034. It will become a big political issue. Politicians will be campaigning on Congress paying the difference. If you want to fuck yourself then vote for someone that says seniors have to take the paycuts.

A side issue is all the money Congress stole from the SS Trust Fund when there were big surpluses. It's estimated to be over 2 trillion. And it was supposed to be invested in interest bearing bonds. Congress paying that back would keep benefits normal for many more years.

It's all going to be about what politicians you support in the 2030's.
