People who contemplate and/or carry out suicide, first of all, do so as a result of something called "free will". These are weakass, low self-asteem people who's minds tell them that they are useless, hopeless, inferior beings who's lives basically add up to one big fat zero.

And it is not their fault for having such defective reasoning skills. We're all brought into this world with different levels of capabilities, realizations, & intelligence, and we all then have our lives shaped by those with whom we live as well as by those we choose to befriend.

Many people just can't handle what they see in the future nor their dwelling on the past. They also see their present as being pathetic. A loser like kew comes to mind here, only he stupidly believed that choosing to be a homo would serve as an excuse for being a total underachieving failure in life.

If someone wants to end their life, so be it. Who is anyone to claim moral superiority over it? And who gives a fuck anyway....most of these people are miserable and unproductive on their best days. Without a doubt, us normal people are better off without them. All this phony "caring" about people who do these things turns my stomach. Just let them do what they choose to do. Seriously, I take the opposite approach.

Observation #1: A higher percentage of Americans are being diagnosed and self-describing as having "mental issues" than ever before in history. Now either we are suddenly in an environment we cannot handle, which may be true, or we have decided to self-report what in the past would have been considered trivial inconveniences, or both.

Observation #2: There are many capitalist vampire industries whose job it is to promote the idea that we should all be happy to the gills and healthy beyond Kryptonians, and if we're not, they have the solution(s). Throughout most of human history, not being happy was not considered a terrible disease. At worst, it was inconvenience. Somehow, I can't see the Amish upset that they aren't doing cartwheels on a day-to-day basis.

Observation #3: "Mental illness" (I'm using quotations as Thomas Szasz might) is, in most cases, a matter of self-perception. People getting bombed in London during WW 2 certainly had reason to be "depressed" or "anxiety-ridden" or "paranoid," but I doubt if many perceived themselves as such or self-reported as such or plagued their fellow human beings with complaints about it.

Observation #4: When various physico-chemical profiles get blamed for "mental illness" of this sort or that, try to keep in mind that we are the survivors whose ancestors out-reproduced everyone else and passed on their genes. So blaming our biological profiles for the problems, and then attempting to correct them, is usually not a real good long-term solution for individuals or society in general. If we can't handle what we perceive or the way we perceive things to be, we need better training in how to perceive or we need to change the environments, both social and physical, in which we operate.

If this sounds too much like, "Suck it up, pansy," I'm sorry. But I mean, really, as far as Americans go, you have overweight, under-exercised narcissists who own more than anybody but the sheiks and who have been convinced they are missing out on the great things in life, probably because they are being bombarded with 40,000 ads a day telling them that they are not their ideal selves and they need to buy/rent/join to become all that they can be. It's a pretty sick environment.

In case it hasn't occurred to you--it's a tough, mean & cruel world far more often than not, and to far more people than not....and it has no mercy for the weak. Through no fault of our own we're all not built the same. For some, suicide ends the constant, never-ending pain and misery, and we have no right to either judge, criticize, or try to "save" them. After all, how many people get to choose how, when, and where they die? They have solved that mystery.

I never mentioned it here until Somebody did a deep deep deep dive on my life and posted info on me from another web site over here
Somebody that is obsessed with me literally went through thousands and thousands of posts on another site to find it and weaponize it against me. I was totally taken aback with the obsession of me. It's pretty incredible to take the time to find it. I'm a nobody. I'm not important. Just a regular dude trying to get through life. Why Somebody would research me reading thousands of posts at that depth is beyond me. Believe me , I have better things to do then research a member here. The obsession with me is bizarre to say the least. I think Mdawg is behind all this but it's just a gut feeling. They are so obsessed with me they are also going through all my hundreds of Reddit posts now. We definitely have some obsessed people here and obsessed with me of all people. Very very very weird. Had a couple more thoughts, this evening, about how most of ours aren't consistent.

1) Why do those who believe that there is no God, and, so, no Heaven, or Hell, think that their lives end the way that they end? I mean, some want to think that they go out, a winner. If this were the case, then they made it to Heaven, for winners, but, they don't believe that a Heaven exists.

2) I prefer to have things mean as much, in death, as in life. Not to have the state of the world, or whatever, mean nothing to me if I'm dead in the sense that I then have no means to perceive it.

I was raised Catholic but left the church when I hit my teens due to the inability of me to justify science with church dogma.

The idea of heaven, hell, original sin, holy ghost, virgin birth...none of it can be supported scientifically or objectively.

I've zero problem believing that ALL of me dies when I die, that there is no afterlife: why are people so afraid of dying, anyway?
