    Rob

I do find value in the comps. Last November I went to Las Vegas to collect a $750 Macy’s gift card. It was only a one night trip as I was going to stay at Rincon the following night with some friends.

After I checked into my hotel (Planet Hollywood) I had to go to Paris to collect my gift card. I arrived at 3:00 and was told the giveaway didn't start until 4 pm. After a drink in the Diamond Lounge I played vp and hit Quad Ace’s with the kicker for $10,000.

I was also positive by $2400 on 3-Card poker for the night.

The next night a Rincon I left down $500.00, but received over $1000 in comps (it was my Birthday month).

    The way I see it I didn't lose $500 at Rincon… I made $500.

I also had a free tank of gas from Shell from total rewards I used on this trip.

Aaron, the most important part of all that was how you STILL were able to beat one of those absolutely terrible -EV machine like 9/5 ddbp that's impossible to win on. I don't know what if any strategy you employed, but if you're doing it right then these type trips will become commonplace. If not, then all you'll be doing is paying 10X the value of all those comps and freebies.

    Continued good luck.

I just got back from a 30-minute session, quarters thru dollars again. This one's for Macau_lover Here's an updated tally of my play this week. I plan on playing up to 3 sessions each day thru the 29th (my wife went back to NC to be with her sick father, otherwise I would have played one day this month only).

    Sunday, +$555
    Monday, -$920
    Tuesday, +$145
    Wednesday, +$120
    Thursday, +$5250
    Friday, +$835

Today's win was most satisfying because I had a 5 and drew a kicker. It's the best way to get a quad with the kicker. Again, notice the "awful, unbeatable" 9/5 pay table. Looks like someone keeps forgetting to program these -EV machines to lose. The hot streak continues!

From Macau wth Love, to Bubba: was there a point in your post? Or was it just the same old same old? You won on a negative EV game, everbody is jaelous of your success and you're a gambling addict. Keep playing that broken record Bubba, you know everybody loves the song

This is my big win on the Sphinx machine they used to have at Rincon in front of the bar. Haven't seen the machines there since they moved everything around.

Sorry that attachment didn't work. You were trying to attach it from your AOL Mail, which isn't viewable by the public.

Photo of Nash's big win has been added above. Congratulations! But how much did it pay?

I'll keep the words to a minimum on my latest: $10k starting bankroll on $1-$25 ARTT; down to the last 5 hands on 9/7 TDBP; and it was DEALT. Four A's with a 2.

    Let the pain-fest begin.

Congratulations on the big hit Rob. Once again you have proved that it is possible to go to a casino for a short amount of time and hit magnificent, seemingly once in a lifetime wins, by starting at the $1 denomination and then working your way up the denomination scale until you magically hit the big one. Your record of big wins with limited play is truly amazing and everyone should take note of your amazing results.

It is magnificent if you believe it.

  14. #374
Rob, can you provide some proof that these pictures are of your play?

Alan raises a great point that you seemingly hit these rare jackpots all over the place.

Makes me think that you are taking pics of other people's jackpots that hit while you're in the room.

Since Rob's extremely well hung, I would suggest a photo with his schlong in the picture to verify a sense of scale, you know, like archaeologists do when in the field. Except they use a ruler. A schlong would be better.

This might be within the realm of possibility and maybe there's something special about Rob's personal biology (hence, my old thread on "Human Biology and RNGs"). Maybe there's something special about Rob's biological makeup that enables him to push the DEAL button at the right time more often than the rest of us? (Redietz's comments notwithstanding.)

Notwithstanding my "schlong", this is the same old nonsense as usual. I play a stronger, smarter method than most others, I right now AM a lot luckier than most others, and it's not my "fault" what card or cards get drawn--or dealt in this case....or how often it may happen. People on tough losing streaks go thru the same type of thing. If these series of wins were all on penny thru quarter machines, no one would care. But because of their "stunning" amounts (to you, not me) they're unfathomable. So you want apologies. Not from me.

Taking pictures of other people's wins--now where've I heard that before. Think hard. What HL room lets a "vp big-win groupie" lurk, and what winner allows such a pest to just jump in and take pictures of their jackpots? Sound stupid enuf yet? Then who would bother wasting such an extraordinary amount of time on such a venture....and for what reason? To piss off critics? Well that might have some validity What you REALLY should be concerned with is how much a -EV game like this "cost" me to play. True critics would simply point out that I "didn't really win $100k--I was actually LOSING $4.35 on every hand I played, and in the so-called long-run, I'll end up busted". I'll remember that when I go back in to play quarters and dollars next month.

Live with it. We do, very nicely. Oh, you can always hope I lose my Super Bowl bet. I put $2000 on Seattle, -2.

Don't you all love how predictable Bubba is. No real answers, no proof, no nothing. By the way, nice little white square you "edited" out of the picture.......

  19. #379
I'm not hip to the significance of the edited white square, so could someone please inform me?

Also, I don't really have a problem with Rob's posting of big wins, since I do not know how much he plays. But I have noticed something that ties in with the biology theory. Rob's biggest wins seem to have some quantum relationship with previous posters having won. For example, Nash posts a 20K win on slots and somehow Rob immediately trumps it with a much bigger win. Rob's previous dynamite win came immediately after I posted that my friend had taken down more than 9K at the craps table at Paris. So there seems to be some time/space/money relationship between previous posters' winnings and Rob nailing a big one. If anyone would care to research this going backwards, there certainly seems to be a correlation, if not a cause-and-effect. It is very weird and defies explanation.

Redietz, in Alan's "congratulatory" post, you'll see my info on that. As I was trying to take a 2nd pic showing just the winning hand, a casino exec who came in to verify said they didn't allow picture- taking in the room where I was playing. No one saw me snap the first which I did right away. So rather than risk some jealous bozo try to cause me trouble at a place I will probably play at again sometime in the future, I blocked it. And in case anyone feels the urge to call around....I could have been anywhere. Healthy, retired folks do get around.

Last words by me on this jackpot: Keep the pain-fest going amongst you. I'll retain this fond memory: Can't you just picture VL angrily throwing things in every direction, and in each case, outside his weenie country's borders?
