Here's what's mind-blowing to me. The sports gambling subculture in which I have lived for 40 years is gigantic compared to the "AP" subculture. Both in number and quality of experts, the importation of expertise from fields to apply to sports gambling, and in terms of people who have tried to conquer it. Yet the "APs" are oblivious. Now that sports gambling is legal, the "APs" just presume they can import some fifth grade math and and their mighty wits and conquer it all. It's truly comical.

You know what a room comp is worth to an AP? If you are out of town working a play, a room comp is worth whatever you would have paid to sleep somewhere, so you can play the following day. When in town, it is worth whatever it would have cost to put friends or family up somewhere.
I also never counted food comps as income. If a casino comps me $40 bucks to grab an over-priced burger, fries, drink, that isn't $40. But it is worth something. For 12 years, when I was playing the locals circuit and playing blackjack 6 days a week and me and my partner were eating 6 days a week at casinos, that had to have some value. Just in the money we saved at the grocery store. But I never counted it. It was just a perk.
Free play. Hell yeah that has value. I don't care what the casinos say. You are correct, it does and can turn -EV play into +EV play. For 7-8 years my partner and I split that supplemental play to the tune of 30-40 grand a year (split). And we were only half-assed doing the mailer game.
But what I counted in income was what I won (including from FP). What I turned into cash. What I could buy groceries with and put gas in the car with.
But I would like to see you name a few APs you know that count meals and rooms as income. I will wait for that, along with the info I should google to see you listed as a top sports better.

If you were kelly betting your contest picks on the side, with the win record you claim, 57%, then over the decades you should have easily built an 8 figure net worth.
