I think injecting abdominal fat back into the boobs and ass was not a thing back in those days. And only rich ladies of leisure who could afford food had the time to be artists models. Poor people would have been much leaner and more toned, but also too busy for this shit. Surely none of this is news to the university educated pot head?
Also the cellulite texture is added not because the artist thinks it's hawt but because it shows off his ability to paint realistic textures and light and shadow on skin. Someone admiring this in a museum would note his technical skill in that aspect.
Rubens was a master and you just can't reduce it to "ew, fat chicks."
