I said I stopped visiting my local Casino months ago, but I didn't say I stopped gambling completely. It's just that I am gambling less after realizing that that local Casino was playing me for a fool.
So can you give us a timeline of how long you got the $40 freeplay? was that daily? once a month? every week? You went and played it.. did you play any of your own money? When did they turn it off? Us fans want the nitty gritty.

YOu said they removed it the next day makes it sound like $40 a day ?

They probably thought you were tryin to hustle 'em, Tasha.

    That’s exactly what happened.

A lot of places are looking at a rolling average now instead of one day.

And they are much quicker to cut off people who only do FP pickups.

Not surprised Florida has caught up to the general decline in free play and offers. This has been occurring in Vegas for 7-8 years now.

When my partner was alive, our machine play consisted of hitting a casino with a big coin in on one day. We would then get free play mailers (and food offers) for 6 months. we only picked up the free play (no additional play) so after 2 months it would decline a bit and after 4 a bit more, but the entire cycle was 6 months. And we would do this under both our accounts at 40 casinos.

The gravy train started to come to an end even before he passed. Casinos, lead by Boyd and stations here in Vegas were the first to cut back. Soon it just wasn't worth it. when my partner died, I just threw in the towel except a small handful of polaces that were still giving good offers. And then that fizzeled out too. And I was just too busy to run around picking up these smaller amounts.

Last year with some time on my hands, I thought I would try this play again. I picked a handful of places that people told me were still giving decent offers and hit them with a big coin in. When the offers rolled in, they were a tiny fraction of what we used to get for the same initial big coin in. And then even worse, the cycle was 2 months, not 6. If you only picked up the free play the cycle ended immediately. This made the whole play no longer +EV, so I gave up again.

What a difference from just a few years ago. And I think it all came down when these multi-carders got into action all over the country. They ruined a good thing.
I think it's all the individual guys that only do one or two cards all around the country that are ruining it. I mean, gosh, if you got rid of all those guys, then people like me who are willing to mass multi-card could get away with it much easier. I mean, is it worth it for an individual person to make a little extra income per year playing one card only, I mean, heck, just play an extra 20 minutes of blackjack per day. Think about it, you guys should stop because the amount that you're making from doing one card is insignificant and not meaningful. Therefore, you should just let somebody willing to multi-card make hundreds of thousands per year.

Bro, multi-carding has been going on since the 90s. It's not necessarily the multi-carding in and of itself that's killing the free play, it's the people talking about the multi-carding. You could say oh there's a lot more multi-carding going on nowadays, well yes obviously, but there's also a fuck ton more casinos nowadays.

Whatever the case, the place that you're playing may have changed what they are doing therefore, you need to change what you are doing. The free play could be just as good or even better once you figure out what their new requirements are.

And stop with all the gravy train has stopped bullshit. I've been hearing the same bullshit about Advantage Play(including the free play game) since the day I started. Other than a few low years, it just kept getting better.

Oh and FYI you can blame all the card counters for fucking it up, if there is anyone to blame. (fucking Reymo, I love you bro, but I do blame you, but it's cool).

Guess where all the card counters went and what they're playing, it certainly isn't card counting, that's right, folks, it's Advantage play slots. Advantage play or not, other than older people and a few Niche markets, nobody cares about table games anymore; it's all slots, they love to watch, hear about, and talk about, and play slots. You want to bore the fuck out of a young hottie?>>> just talk about table games. You want to see a sparkle in her eye, and get her panties to drop? Show her how to beat a slot.

FYI, Blackjack Boot Camp's tagline should be you'll learn how to play Advantage blackjack, Blackjack but you'll end up playing Advantage slots.

I used to talk to Reymo privately back when he was still on Norm's forum and just left to go to discord. Gosh that has been 10 years now. And I lasted about 2 days at Discord. That place made this place look sane.

I know all the blackjack players from 15 years ago have moved to slots. That is ok with me. I still like blackjack. I know how to win. How to play to be welcome to play next times. How and what limits to play at each place I play. So it is good that everyone has moved on and let me be.

Actually, just the other day, my brother was talking about noticing an uptick in younger card counters. I haven't noticed it because I don't play the locals circut anymore. Is that the fucking bootcamp still churning out players?

I got a combined $40 for the entire month of February or $10 a week in free play. After February, I didn't get any more free play. I didn't come back after February.

Those games in Texas make you come in for 5 IIRC. So for a super nit it is a great deal.
I'm so out of touch with poker, I don't even know what that means. But I assume the bets are big in relation to the blinds, so you're not pressured to play marginal hands preflop.

On the other hand, I would think a nit has the hourly time charge working against him, as they're not allowed to rake in Texas.
Take away my investments, my 3 homes across the country, my cars, my upcoming 14 trips in 25 across the world, my health and add 270 pounds and what do we have?

Bring it in for 5. So it is a 1 2 game in blinds but you can't call $2. You are right. Paying for time does not specifically help nits but it could easily be lower for everyone. The 1 2 5 game means you pay little in terms of blinds, so nitness isn't punished. Also lots of $10 straddles

Yes hopefully. The clubs also assess membership fees, but that's possibly more for legal compliance than revenue generation.

Good job on the correct spelling and usage of assess.

A very common mistake is for people to spell it asses which changes the meaning somewhat.

Tony discovered Texas poker a couple of years ago. He does way better there than anywhere else in the country. Currently playing the Dallas rooms. He reported a 16K month in the 1-2 PLO.

If nobody uses a word for a while, do they remove it?

Sometimes when I want a synonym, I'll consult my thesaurasses, only to find just the usual words without anything I didn't know.

Texas Card House in Dallas is $13 for the day or $30 per month or $300 for the year. Plus $13 an hour time charge. I’m in constant contact with Tony. He’s crushing it there. His bankroll is the highest its ever been. He should never leave Texas.

I think thesaurassess are what people get when they sit in front of a video poker machine for too many hours.

I've never seen this usage before, and I live chiefly in the West.

Now I find it completely believable that Rob has had hundreds of "jackpots."

    Lol.

I had never seen or heard this usage before either except of course in this scene of No Country for Old Men.

Thanks! The only movie quotes I know are from Airplane!

By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

    That was Copilot.
