Much progress needed with Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks before Philly and NYM. Seattle should be good for 2 wins of 4 with anything better a possibility.
Astros playing the Dodgers, Blue Jays battling the Yankees for their division lead tomorrow. My MLB 1st month is over now. Every game I had watched on prime had said MLB plus included in my other subscriptions, Amazon Prime and Max. Now I dont know how to sort through to find the games not only included in MLB
Dandruff's favorite pitcher to bet against Brandon Pfaadt pitching for the Arizona Diamondbacks against the SF Giants in Arizona. I'm taking SF, a team I've lost so many bets -1.5, but hopefully not today. Game starts at 940 EST.
I've bet over $2000 on Houston to win rhe World Series now. They killed the Dodgers at home 18-1. The biggest risks are they peak too soon or someone necessary gets hurt.
The odds had dropped lower then I started betting because I missed this boat by fortunes. Any pitcher can have a bad day. God only knows what kind of odds I could have had. Back when I sucker bet into the Angels, , the Astros were just starting to get hot.
How do deaths of people affect bets like these? If I bet , I would want my account drained to my bank account if I croaked. I'd want my family to withdraw my account. Are they allowed to just do that without a will. I want to know if bets have to be cashed immediately or not.

Just noticed some information stating the Astros were ranked 17th in MLB power rankings in mid May. Now they're 4th. At that point they were probably +15,000 to win WS.
What and why I like the Astros:
.700 winning percentage last 40 games 28-12, team pitching leading most areas, the Astros have the best record against teams over .500, 27-19 and this eclipses all other teams by plenty. I was betting +1200, they're now +1000 as of today. Detroit is a threat to them, for sure. By the end of season, I would like to have $5000+ bet on Houston. Some of those bets, I will be chicken and cash at some points for guaranteed profit. To limit my betting, I think I will just bet with Dandruff and his picks and parlay total proceeds each game onto Houston. As I came back to edit this, I think it is time to diversify my position and place some money on them to simply win the AL pennant. The Astros are the best team in MLB and soon their record will reflect this.

The Astros are now being called the best team in baseball because nobody can beat them including the World Series favorites LA Dodgers they just swept in 3 games like a boss. If the stars align, I'd like to bet 50% more just with the intention of cashing out when the odds come from +1000 to +200. This will pay for the bets I have already and make the Astros a free roll. I'm hoping the odds stay +1000 this week to get me time to feel comfortable with another $3000ish. I'd just hate to ride these bets until the playoffs and have them get beaten. I think Im almost maxed out at ESPN so Ill have to move to MGM.
I dont want to talk crazy, but for some reason I see the Astros winning 105 games. This Im not betting on per se until more cash becomes available. The Astros July schedule is pretty easy.
The Astros lost to the Red Sox. Blame it on one of their main RBI guys having paternity leave home for 3 days. Angel won, but so far out of things now 4 behind wild card. I have buyers remorse on my World Series bets, Ill have to cash out some when they appreciate if the Astros stay lit. I won't have the heart to go for $70-80,000 all or nothing.
Baseball is a funny game. Astros go to LA and Destroy the Dodgers, outscoring them 29-6. Then they come home and lose twice to a team that had lost 11 straight games. And one of their aces got rocked in one of those games. Not a whole lot of consistency throughout the league with the exception of the Tigers. Teams we think are decent will win 5 or 6 in a row and then turn right around and lose 5 of 6 or 6 of 7.
We are only slightly past halfway point. 4 games out of wild card is nothing, especially with trade deadline coming up. Add one or two key players and you can make that up easily. I have never thought the Angels were that good, but I think you are giving up to easy and too early.
I am doing real well betting overs the past couple weeks. Not every game. there are 3-4 games with good pitchers that I throw out every day and then bet the over on 10 or so games, especially with weak pitchers, weak bullpens, and warm temperatures and wind blowing out or neutral.
BUT there is one thing about betting Overs that is really annoying me. In just the past few days, I have seen probably 8-9 runners get thrown out at home base, trying to score on a ground ball with less than 2 outs. And most of the plays aren't even close. They are out by a mile. I don't get the running on contact if there is less than 2 outs. Wait till the ball gets though or at least deep into the hole before trying to score. Instead these guys are taking off at contact and the ball is hit directly to an infielder already playing in and an easy out at home.It is a different game than when I played in HS. If we took off from third on contact, with less than 2 outs and were thrown out by 15 feet, we wouldn't be playing next game.

Just in case I wasn't clear, I am talking about when a team has a runner at third base with 0 or 1 out and bases are not loaded, so he doesn't HAVE to run. Most of these situations the team in the field will play the infield in, trying to cut down the run. So if the batter hits a ball directly at one of those infielder's already playing in, why is the runner at third running? I really don't get this. Counter to everything I was taught.
And when you are betting the overs and a runner gets cut down trying to score, when it isn't even close, it is frustrating.![]()

I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

I bet on the Blue Jays $100 and also $40 -1.5, but then I had some serious doubts and canceled those bets in time. Now Im very much so betting on Chicago White Sox and maybe -1.5 and -2.5. The Blue Jays have been white hot winning ten games in a row, but I think the Chicago starter will hold them down. He has just been too good for me to bet against.
I may regret this, because I canceled a Houston World Series bet to bet this and I thought this I would never do. Im betting $350 on the White Sox money line, $150 -1.5, $150 -2.5.
So I'm a little nervous making these bets, it is against my principles canceling a lot of my Houston World Series bets to bet on the White Sox today. I even canceled $200 more to bet the under 8.5 -130. Great news on a small scale, I was offered the rest of the year to get MLB for $47. On the positive side if I hit a grand slam with these bets, the money will be bet back on Houston and I'll have enough credit to see if I will be maxed out yet. I won't cancel any more Houston bets again, that is like a sin. I must admit some buyers's remorse very heavily after they lost 2 to the shit stain Guardians. Hopefully the irony will be on my side because the Guardians broke a 10 game losing streak beating the Astros. I'm a little weary the odds will come back to Houston +1200, but as much afraid they'll come down to +750. I am betting against the Dodgers taking Milwaukee, a team I feel is very underrated.

I keep forgetting that your wager is for Angels to win the world series and not just make the playoffs or win division as mine is. No offense, but that IS a tremendous longshot. You knew that though.
But IF the angels were to win 60% of games, which also seems pretty unlikely to me (barring infusion of a couple new players), they could get into the playoffs either winning the division or wild card.
And getting in is all you need with the MLB format. I think the format actually works against the 4 teams (2 in each league), that win their divisions with the best record and get a bye. It works against them in two ways. 1st, the 5 game format, if the away team wins one of those first two games, they are then in the drivers seat, not the higher ranked team. And 2nd, a week layoff is not good, especially for teams that clinched division early and already rested players for a week. It is like 2 weeks of, which throws off timing of both batters and pitchers.
And results in recent years have proven this out. 2024, Phils had a bye and lost the division series to the Mets. In 2023, astonishingly 3 of the 4 teams that got a bye, lost their first series. So I just don't see the huge advantage to winning divisions with one of the best records and sitting around for a week.
