Baseball is a funny game. Astros go to LA and Destroy the Dodgers, outscoring them 29-6. Then they come home and lose twice to a team that had lost 11 straight games. And one of their aces got rocked in one of those games. Not a whole lot of consistency throughout the league with the exception of the Tigers. Teams we think are decent will win 5 or 6 in a row and then turn right around and lose 5 of 6 or 6 of 7.

We are only slightly past halfway point. 4 games out of wild card is nothing, especially with trade deadline coming up. Add one or two key players and you can make that up easily. I have never thought the Angels were that good, but I think you are giving up to easy and too early.

I am doing real well betting overs the past couple weeks. Not every game. there are 3-4 games with good pitchers that I throw out every day and then bet the over on 10 or so games, especially with weak pitchers, weak bullpens, and warm temperatures and wind blowing out or neutral.

BUT there is one thing about betting Overs that is really annoying me. In just the past few days, I have seen probably 8-9 runners get thrown out at home base, trying to score on a ground ball with less than 2 outs. And most of the plays aren't even close. They are out by a mile. I don't get the running on contact if there is less than 2 outs. Wait till the ball gets though or at least deep into the hole before trying to score. Instead these guys are taking off at contact and the ball is hit directly to an infielder already playing in and an easy out at home. It is a different game than when I played in HS. If we took off from third on contact, with less than 2 outs and were thrown out by 15 feet, we wouldn't be playing next game.
The insecure little man that posts as Mdawg is no longer worth of that handle. From this point forward he will be known as "turtle" in reference to his insecurity and small dick that accompanies such insecure, little men.

Just in case I wasn't clear, I am talking about when a team has a runner at third base with 0 or 1 out and bases are not loaded, so he doesn't HAVE to run. Most of these situations the team in the field will play the infield in, trying to cut down the run. So if the batter hits a ball directly at one of those infielder's already playing in, why is the runner at third running? I really don't get this. Counter to everything I was taught.

And when you are betting the overs and a runner gets cut down trying to score, when it isn't even close, it is frustrating.
