V, I'm not sure you understood: I grew up in NE so Fall Foliage drives aren't something we do anymore.
I was simply mocking the lonely bunch of "why has life passed me by?!" folks here who, likely because of gambling but maybe because of being total go-nowhere/do-nothings period, they can never pull themselves away from their words-of-wisdom computer keyboard sanctuaries and direct-to-casino scurries to experience the beauty of the outdoors.
We didn't waste a moment this summer, as we made two very busy cross-country round trips prior to picking up our new puppy late next week. Sure there's nice scenery just about everywhere, but "been there/done that" as you would say.
Teslas....Lucids....EV's from everyone corner of the planet....I have no use for that nonsense. Waiting for electrosonic "charges" every 300-400 miles ain't my idea of an enjoyable, freedom-filled trip. But for the do-nothings....it's the cat's meow.![]()

I wonder what it is like with the charger situation on those drives these days. Scenic drives are nice but ultimately you gotta pay attention to driving. I'm no Elon fan but the reality is the self-driving aspect of a tesla makes trips like this even better. Far less noise in the car but mostly the ability to really look around and take in details. When you don't need to pay attention to keep the car on the road your eyes can just drift around. Looking at things until they're behind you lets you take it in a lot more.
Poor Singer swings and misses so much. At least he has Kewl to beat up on.

Just so you know mickeycrimm, I and I am sure many others appreciate this thread and this kind of thread. Don't let the trolls, hijackers and crazy ass people like Bill Yung discourage you from posting them.
Dan Druff: "there's no question that MDawg has been an obnoxious braggart, and has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. There's something missing from his stories. Either they're fabricated, grossly exaggerated, or largely incomplete".
Thanks for constantly pointing us out to him, and the others. And to the other such trolls who point out, say, MDawg's posts by essentially bumping them.
Anyway, gambling being about the present, Crimm has to post this garbage, everyday, to pretend to remain current. I mean, as soon as a gambler dies, no trace remains except a trial of internet posts on obscure forums. Post with a half-life of about ten minutes. Ha.

When we drove from Las Vegas to Washington State, I drove from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara, and then we took the Pacific Coast Highway all the way to Washington instead of I-84 and I-15. I've done Washington to Redding, California, several times. One of the most beautiful drives I've been on was from Riverside, Washington to Bellingham, Washington. Diablo Lake was absolutely gorgeous.
But to tell you the truth, I'm not big on long road trips.
I take it you're using your phone to video this stuff? If so, have you ever thought about getting something like a GoPro permanently mounted?
If you get up in the Washington area, let me know.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.
