Yes, there were plenty of slot AP's hovering around on the strip keeping everything knocked down. Same thing downtown.
For CZR I stayed at the Flamingo so had access to Cromwell, Horseshoe and Paris in one direction. And Linq, Harrah's in the other direction. Plus Caesar's across the street. To run through all these places I used my secret weapon. My power chair. It runs at 3.75 MPH, which is faster than people walk. When I'm running I'm like "get the hell out of my way you slow poker strip walkers!" With slot AP's there's always the speed walkers to contend with. They want to cover as many machines as they can. My power chair is the equivalent of speed walking. It vastly speeds up the process for me. And when I'm thru with a lap around the casinos I'm not worn out like I would be if I tried to walk it.
It will go 15 miles between charges. So from Flamingo I easily went thru Ling, Harrahs, then across the road to Casesar's then across to Bellagio, across to Paris and Horseshoe, then across to Cromwell, then back to Flamingo on one charge.
So with CZR I'm getting everything comped. How do I sustain that? By running action. But I got all these slot AP's hovering around keeping the machines stripped of any advantage plays. How do I run action that isn't negative? I had to look for plays that were barely advantage and live with the fluctuation. There was few games in particular the slot AP's wouldn't play below a certain level that I knew could be played at lower numbers. And they were in every casino.
So spread out over 8 days I ran 35K in action. That was what the traffic would bare to play with an edge, but not a big edge. That's about a 4.4K wager per day. That's easily enough action per day to sustain a diamond card. You have to run a 75K wager per year to maintain diamond. I'm diamond until Feb 2027. Starting Jan 1, 2026 I'll have to run a 75K wager to maintain diamond until Feb 2028. At a 4.4K wager per day that's just 17 days play to maintain diamond. And I have a year to do it.
Plus I stayed 4 payed days at Excalibur to see if I could jump start comp from MGM Rewards. I ran a 20K wager but ran bad and lost $900. No hill for a climber. That was in september. So they have initially sent me a 2 day comp for Excalibur.
So this makes it possible to stay 5 days on CZR, then 2 days at MGM, that back for another 5 days at CZR, if that's the way I want to work it. Maybe. I have to figure out what 2 free days at Excaliber means. Does that mean the room is free but you pay resort fee's? If you look on their website the room rate is like $20 with a $50 resort fee, plus tax. So does that mean I'm just getting a $20 discount? I'll have to give them a call.
I just received a 3 day comp offer yesterday from Mesquite Gaming. That's Casa Blanca/Virgin River in Mesquite. I stopped there for the night on my September trip. So I've got a comp play working there too.
I haven't received anything from the downtown casinos so far. But well see. I did get a 2 day from Santa Fe Station. Nothing from Red Rock so far. Nothing from Durango. I seen Aliante Station on my way from Durango to Santa Fe. I thought damn, that casino is in the middle of nowhere but didn't stop.
I have enough working to easily spend a couple of weeks at a time in Vegas for free.
In short, KJ, if I were after maximizing the amount of money I'm making from slot AP I wouldn't go to Vegas. I have much better places. But it's a great vacation spot.
